Good one! Nice eyecandy, nice difficult tests… Wanted to do a long review but hadn’t enough time… Sorry..
GG
It looks quite nice, but I really think you should have added more before uploading this.
EDIT: And… You’re updating it? If you wanted to show it off before it was finished, there’s a thread on the forums for that… =/
Tileset’s begin looks fine, but it seems unfinished…
Gus, next time try to release FULL version.
This tileset is very good, but on the other hand i agree with mortalspaz. The 2D games don’t fit in good with 3D tilesets. Sorry man but that’s a 7.5

“lorigirl635 rated 2.7
cool”
O Really!?
It’s reason to give 2.7. What’s wrong with you!?!?!?
Sorry but i don’t see a point in this useless tileset…
16milion-color effects from paintshop pro, right?
Nice clean conversion, i like it!
@Gus: Well, i dont rate how tileset look cause it is conversion…
Copying directly from jj1 is sometimes hard because of the different events jj2 has, but it is nowhere near to putting your creativity in your own, self made levels.
No layers 5-6, composable layer 7, lack of colors, scarce eyecandy, dull sky textures, copies of Jazz, Spaz and Lori, no outside slopes, pointless big bricks tile, ugly graffiti, a smoker …
I really don’t know how it got so many positive comments! I find it way useless.
Since this reviewed the contest I felt that it would be appropriate to win it.
Very small, lack of colors, lack of eyecandy, squared, lack of usable backgrounds …
At least some textures are beautiful.
5 strings only? Come on! You could at least write “Double Idler” and “Home and Alone mode”, or “discard a gametype”.
5 strings only. What the hell!
It is the original JJ1 episode into JJ2.
Things like these are not really amazing.
It would be muuuch better if it was made with some tileset remakes, if there actually were any.
Do you imagine Turtemple in JJ2?
10×7 mountain with temple on layer 8
8×6 mesas on layer 7
9×5 dunes with tents and palms on layer 6
6×3 shrubs and bones on layer 5
It has really good graphics, and it is nice to see. But the leaves are composable, and that makes the forest appear too squared!
And the layer 5 is used as sprite background. That disgusts me.
Layers 6-7 are beautiful, but only usable on 640×480, while 320×240 is the default SP resolution. (Labrat, Hell, Damn)
Anyway, this tileset is rich!
