Yet again, a JJ1 midi. Guys, how about something other than midi’‘s? Heh, only kidding. Nothing wrong with midi’s, aside from the fact you can’t use them in JJ2 (I can’t say that enough :P) and the fact they can be annoying… O well, review time again.
Melody
For those who only have JJ2, this is JJ1 Diamondus, not the JJ2 one. The original melody is an active one, perfect since Diamondus is the first planet of the first episode in JJ1. In this midi, the melody is completely there, nothing’s off. Nice job.
Instruments
The instruments used may vary from driver to driver. AcId, you may wanna practice picking instruments a little more, or at least pick some louder ones. The ones chosen (Flutes, drums, and the like) make the otherwise active song a rather tame one (quite a feat, but not one I appreciate :p). I know, most midi’s sound rather tame compared to the original songs, but still, given the Tubelectric midi by MaliceX and Stevne Picken, a midi can sound just like the original, if composed right.
Verdict
Like AcId said, a half decent midi, but that’s it. Next time, I’d like to hear the instruments in the background a little more, that would make it a little more active. Mildly recommended, due to the tameness.

in the first level you don’t have to fight with the queen. the queen is there because of the story. she’s there to capture you and put you to the castle dungeon
if you don’t play it in the medium mode you may not be able to fight with the end boss on the 3. level

It’s totally amateur. Oh yes, nice raining… But layer 5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-3 is n00bish “trick”…
Goodies placement
LOL. Don’t ask why, there is one word how to say it. It starts with “n”… But it’s so easy to put only 6 usable-weapons-tiles…
Design

There is one room where you are still warped so it makes this boring. But yes, maybe it’s huge, only without order…
Overall
It’s in TSF and in TSF are only n00bish servers, so, asdfghjkl, host it!!!
No. This level is nice for some from first pocuses, yes. But I don’t like it. That’s all.
Wow!This level is execellent. Really good eyecandy. This level is huge. There is lots of room to move in. The gems are placed really well. Try making more levels like this fearofdark.

I played with the ‘easy’ setting so I don’t know is there the problem in the other settings..

If I was relatively new to JJ2 and I was entering a contest, I wouldn’t submit a level that uses a game mode I’m unfamiliar with. But that’s irrelevant. Here’s my review:
GAMEPLAY:
The symmetry is slightly off, but I’d be the only one that cares about it. The flow is a bit bumpy in places, such as with the narrow passages to different parts of the level. The top half of the level consists mostly of huge sloped platforms and cramped spaces here and there. What I disliked the most was how the bottom half of this level was designed. The design allows for players to take advantage of camping at certain spots. An extra route up and/or a +1 carrot added at the top would solve most potential problems.
EYE CANDY:
The eye candy is a little random in places, but it’s more or less average, which can be expected with levels using JJ1 tilesets. Of course, typical eye candy means no bonus points in creativity, but the eye candy does do its job.
CARROT AND AMMO PLACEMENT:
The full energy carrot should’ve been made a little easier to reach, but it’s not too bad as it is. Certain strategic moves can be used where the carrot is placed, such as shooting the carrot down after using the warp at the top middle. Still, I think the full energy carrot should’ve been complemented by a +1 carrot. The powerups used (which is the final proof that my Security Breach level influenced this level in one way or another) were placed well enough, but I wouldn’t say the ammo placement is near perfect.
HOST THIS OFTEN?
Rarely at the most. 7.
This level is great. The eyecandy is execellent. The weapons palcement is really good. The use of the the tileset is execellent. This level is big. Try mking more levels like this da man.
I give this an 8.

This is a good conversion.The example level is good too.

This is pretty good. The JJ1 tilesets in a CTF level make this truly unique.
But you guys forgot to use JJ1 diamondus and a few others. A very good CTF pack!

GAMEPLAY:
Gameplay here is very bad in my opinion. i don’t understand why there’s some ugly animated tiles in layer 4, which ruin the flow. layout is very bad too, blue teams base’s layout is rather mazelike while red teams base is easy to navigate. no more complaiments. work with gameplay next time. ;-)
EYECANDY:
Tileset was used right, but there still lot of tilebugs, and level looks quite dull, because it doesn’t use all the tiles. myself i would use everytile in a tileset. :p
its your choice though.
PLACEMENT:
Two +1 carrots and some powerups are there. btw, why there’s an ice PU? no one needs ice. placement needs work too, its unbalanced.
