What’s that?
An amazingly designed level with a toungebreaking title.. ah really you could just name it something simpler like Jungle’s Inside or… River Potato.
Allright aside of the jokes, this is a really great looking level, the tileset is perfectly used, creating a natural jungle environment with waterfalls and a river. Astonishing, it’s so peasant to just watch the image. I think I can assume you are at the very top of making eyecandies. There are a few things in the foregorund covering a little of the played area, but I didn’t find it distracting or confusing, even though the colors aren’t really different for the playable area.
The layout is, as usual, horizontal mainly it’s balanced. (Aside of that Toaster PU isn’t as good as BNC Pu, in my opinion, so maybe it would be better if RF was swapped with Toaster. However that probably goes againt your intentions.) I learned it very fast, it’s not complicated, so it won’t be a bad point for anyone, who sees it first.
I din’t try it online but it’s not complicated and it must be good for 2v2 and 3v3 (duels are agurable) It should be an usual fight like people has in other levels, this level is quite orthodox in gameplay, what to say. I’m sorry for not trying it
All weapons are in this level (except TNT and ice but those aren’t even necessary) No seeker Pu what is a nice point. There are enough ammos spread all around. I especially like the full carrot’s area, that it’s special, it probably makes the most difference to this level from other levels.
The music is nice and soft, perfectly fitting the environment, The only thing is that the track tiself is a little short, but well, it makes the size small so it’s fine. Okay, so it’s not from necros, whatever.
I’m assured this is a really appropriate level for the contest, it definietly fits the expectations. The (for me strong) bad point is that it’s orthodox and simple in layout and gameplay. Neverthless you will have a great chance to win with it.

7th Lava Fall (CTF Level):
Gameplay: This level is huge, the most annoying part to get back to the Red base is very hard to get. I Was searching to get at the Red Base and I done 2 warps, thats alot. Without Sucker tube and warps is impossible to get to each other. But the good thing is that level is very challenging and huge duels will be success.

Eyecandy: Not much eyecandy. Just weird we are moving to right. That huge thing is moving to right, thats pointless. There is also something lava-like thing in the ground that is transparent. It looks very ugly. 9/25 points
Ammo placement: It has almost great Ammo Placement, but there are alot empty spaces and

Alright then, here we go with a review.
I want to get this of my chest first, this is overrated. Since both Master Sven and Laro B. are clanmembers of Jenny, they should at least give a review with a decent rating.
Now let’s talk about the level. The level is good, very good for your first level, you did every just fine, but the details are a bit swept away.
The level could use more eyecandy for example.
The layers 1 ,2 ,6 and 7 are completely blank. Layer 5 is barely used. I would like to see more tiles in there. Like the tileset gives. You could do anything with it, the tileset gives loads of opportunities to make something fresh new.
In spite of that, the gameplay is interesting. Few things I do not like though.
The TNT’s on the building don’t have a meaning at all. I also thought that I could pick up the gems in the start. Tried for 5 minutes before I realized there was no entrance to them at all.
Well, overall it is a good map, you spent time on it I see, and since your little experience of levelmaking, makes this a good level to play.
It’s fun, I liked to play it.
(I would like to continue my review tomorrow, since this deserves a more detailed review than this.)

This is very good for a first level!
The gameplay is quite original and isn’t too hard either to make you stuck for hours. Some invisible walls in this level could have been done more graphically correct, but it also adds to the slightly confusing atmosphere of the level. The eyecandy is nice although I would’ve liked to see some more foreground eyecandy in the first part of the level. I recommend this for downloading for I hope many players will see this level and recognise Jenny’s JCS talent.

Mixed feelings about this one. I really enjoyed the tower section, the spare carrots and falling icicles. But the difficulty was too high for me. Too many spawning enemies… And the windy section was tricky. The build quality of the level was excellent though.
I sort of remember promising I’d review this, so here we go ;-).
I don’t remember playing the very first versions of this as being a very pleasant experience for some reason. Of course the artwork is nice, the chosen enemies were awesome (except for one) and the level layout is just the way I generally like it. But there was one big something that sort of put me off.
When I started playing I immediately realized that it was the difficulty that put me off in the first place. So my very first action was to go back to the main menu and load the save game for the easy difficulty instead of the medium difficulty (thanks for adding those by the way). I’m a wimp, what can I say. I managed to get through the level only losing a single life this way. The things that made my life most difficult were the trigger happy turtles, and the toaster shooters. Okay, so that’s enough about the difficulty. On to the good stuff, because the difficulty really is the only bone I could pick with it. The level actually is a lot of fun to play.
I never really adored this tileset in particular, but I love the way it looks in JJ1. You made some clever additions too to make it fit in better, like black backgrounds and the splashing waterfall. If I wouldn’t know better I probably would have guessed that it was an original. I also really like the background in this level. It is an interesting purple that fades to blueish, black and even green colors. That might sound weird, but it doesn’t distract the player. I guess most people won’t even notice it during their first run through the level.
The layout of the level is enjoyable. There’s not a huge wealth of pickups and ammo, but it’s well balanced and carrots and checkpoints are in the right places. You can tell from cooba’s style that he enjoys puzzles. There are a few hidden passages and platforms that you need to find before you can advance to the next part of the level. It also occurs a few times that cooba sends you to an area to have you pick up an item that you need to access another area in the level. I personally am a big fan of stuff like this, but I can imagine it’s not everybody’s cup of tea.
A tiny point of criticism: I thought the silver bullet enemy was kind of disappointing. Especially when you look at how much time cooba spent on all of the other sprites. This might have to do with the fact that he decided he’d rather have a level out, than have it sit on his hard drive for another two years though. It’s a tiny flaw for me, but one I can live with. I can imagine that he might not even have bothered to finish the level if he would have had to put in much more time.
Overal: if you like puzzles, Jazz1 and a bit of a challenge, I’d say go for it. Good job cooba.
No review yet? This level really deserves one, it is great. No need for many words. The eyecandy is amazing, and the level fun to play at, despite the low amount of ammo.
No bugs too, which is always nice.

Bartman, your levels are very good but they are too hard for some kids (not like me) and they are mostly, excellently did on JCS and the password is secret. It has 10 letters and it begins with A and ends with Y. Some users don’t know the password but I know, because I used the password remover too early, as some people say “Don’t edit my levels” as they set the strong password, as we cannot know!
For your levels, your rating from me is 10. I say you will become an excellent level maker (Possibly near the top, as someone rated my “boss rush” 6 and says that I’m very good on level making. Very good levels, very good mind, very good creativity – continue with your lucky work in hours!
I also love the “Super Mario Brothers” tileset used in your upload. Also, it is also used in mine upload; the Boss Rush (my first upload, and we know I’m new on this website).

Well, here we have a mess…
Gameplay
With a bland, straight cramped layout, there’s not much to movement other than holding on the left/right button. It’s also annoying too because you can’t dodge anything. Oh but wait…there’s secrets! Not until someone finds them out, then they’re blatantly right there to see for everyone else, which doesn’t really make it a secret anymore. Then again, I was never a big fan of actual secrets in multiplayer that give a huge advantage, since it makes it an easy win for players who know the level, and therefore a lopsided game. The “secret” areas to fall are so tight to fall into, and with a very fast paced game, you’re likely to get slowed down a lot trying to get into them in the first place, because of people spamming shots at you. And please, any multiplayer JCSer who reads this, please stop with the one tile open spots where you have to slow down a lot, the risk isn’t worth it and it’s especially frustrating in race when you’re forced to slow down that much.
But really, secrets aren’t a component to a good multiplayer level. Accessibility (ease of learning), originality and the balance between skill and strategy are the main components to a good multiplayer level. However, a common issue I have with many race levels is that the overeliance on knowing the level itself.
Eyecandy
Apparently the author doesn’t think that using a tileset properly matters. Here, we have tilebugs everywhere and a reluctance to use the tileset properly. A tilebug in the sky, and cut off roof tiles. Having a level look half baked usually speaks for itself…that the level is bad or unfinished. No other layer usage exists.

I certainly don’t recommend this level.
I’d also like to mention this level is made with the original splitcreen race mode in mind, which doesn’t work very well at all online.
Oh yeah, and this is pure originality with scripting. It has been a big work as one can see. And the result is a really fun-to-play gimmick level that works for both battle and bank robbery with multiple custom features. Download recommended.
