R3ptile Nov 10, 2005 07:29 AM

i knew this project would die!

CrimiClown Nov 10, 2005 07:39 AM

R3p, Blur said he'd try to finish it. DON'T GIVE UP NOW! :(

Pageclaim in the name of good projects!

I double that! :D

NovaStar Nov 10, 2005 10:54 PM

I could try!

blurredd Nov 11, 2005 11:18 AM

Sorry I took so long, but I'm (98%) done. Click here to see it.

I had to change some colors around so I could get everything in, but I think I did a fairly good job. Unless if I made a mistake somewhere, I didn't need to use an extra tile for the palette. Also, it's 98% done because I could use some input on my work. And palette events work as a bonus.

I just think the tileset itself could be better.

...I love your sarcasm.

CrimiClown Nov 12, 2005 01:37 AM

I think Kansas02 is great! :D

Since they aren't in the bitmaps blur posted, it seems quite obvious that there aren't any 8)

Stijn Nov 12, 2005 03:54 AM

It was a reply to Blur's statement "I'm not happy with the tileset" or however he phrased it.

n0 Nov 14, 2005 05:28 PM

Well, this is what you get for not banning me.

I wasted all of 11 minutes fixing this (poles mask and new text), I just wanted you to get this before blur compiled it.

Now, could you PLEASE ban me untill december?

Fawriel Nov 14, 2005 09:43 PM

I reported your post. ;D
..now lets see what happens. ( It'll probably be me getting a warning if anything. XP )

cooba Nov 17, 2005 06:24 AM

Meh... I just checked the palette in blur's bitmaps and didn't find any oddities. Whatever palette events blur wanted to work will do well, the textured background also will work, no stupid errors like using 0-15 entries...

EDIT: Apparently, I didn't notice any errors after I compiled the tileset, either.

Violet CLM Nov 18, 2005 12:00 AM

Cooba has kindly pointed out a very serious error which I made a long time ago and completely forgot to fix. Here are the fixed tiles:

blurredd Nov 18, 2005 02:06 PM

Added.

cooba Nov 25, 2005 11:39 AM

So... as the palette and mask works and stuff, we just have to compile the tileset and upload it =)

Fawriel Nov 25, 2005 12:46 PM

It can't take more than a month now!

Violet CLM Nov 25, 2005 02:57 PM

Tsk... you're all forgetting the example level. Let's find someone who's about to leave the community and get them to volunteer to create one.

cooba Nov 26, 2005 07:08 AM

In my opinion, the example level would just quite limit everyone. This tileset has lots and lots of eyecandy opportunities, maybe even too much... If an example level would be made, everyone would just make their eyecandy look like the example level's, and that would be quite a bad thing.

Fawriel Nov 26, 2005 07:14 AM

Or people wouldn't know how to properly use some of it. *points at background trees*

blurredd Nov 26, 2005 03:23 PM

More than one person can make an example level, which I think would help.

...last time I checked, Violet was supposed to upload Kansas using a special account.

Violet CLM Nov 27, 2005 12:36 PM

Oh... yeah. Forgot about that.
Does anyone think this is not ready to be uploaded?

FQuist Nov 27, 2005 12:46 PM

I'm a bit worried about what someone said about there being no connection tiles for the layer 4 unmasked background tiles (cave tiles?) and the platforms.

thats pretty much the only problem i found
*encourages others to go fix it*

WaterRabbit Nov 27, 2005 03:25 PM

What about making an example level for the tileset?

blurredd Nov 27, 2005 03:38 PM

That would have to be delayed if any changes to the tileset are made.

Black Ninja Nov 27, 2005 06:11 PM

I can make an example level if needed. I wanted to contribute to this, but lack tileset skills. Feel free to recruit me for other crap.

cooba Nov 28, 2005 06:13 AM

Hey I just remembered a really neat thing =D:

Willing to make an example level, too.

CrimiClown Dec 3, 2005 05:45 AM

I get an error when trying to open the .zip Jarno made...

EDIT: I could make an example level, if I got the j2t file...
