Anyway, it seems ambesoftware is on a hiatus or something.

I wouldn't say LONG before, if you're referring to me.

Looking good, but I don't like the fact that you're trying to steal Epic's copyrights. Did they give you permission anyway? You can't just take stuff without permission and try to sell it for your own profit. It'd be like remaking Super Mario Bros. 1 with revamped graphics and trying to get money for it

Violet CLM Jan 8, 2009 03:10 PM

That was a topic of discussion for much of the first page and presumably after that. Do you have any specific questions or comments on things that were actually said?

JustRob Jan 9, 2009 09:06 AM

Not really, just wanna know if you got Epic's permission or not

Someone actually did do that. Google "mario forever".
It's okay, but it's funky.
Anyway, I think Epic is convinced that because G.O.D. Games couldn't front the money [or didn't want to] for jj3, and because they couldn't find anybody else, that JJ3 is not happening.
Stupid, if you ask me...

If Cliff really works for success, and not for passion, BUT REALLY loved people, he would morph Jazz into a shoot 'em up with a tough Jazz as main character.
PT32, I'm so sorry for you, but you should give up. Cliff is mighty, and you either play something else (than Jazz 3) or play not at all.
I also have made an image about it.

And yet you don't like violent games. Okay. Yeah.

Foly Feb 2, 2009 11:50 PM

Just a question:

Is someone working on JJ3 now?

Posts like these make me want to run for the hills screaming "AUGHAUGHAUGHAUGHAUHG".

Can you please just read the thread first to try and get an answer instead of just asking wildly? 11 pages is not that much. :)

wicke Feb 5, 2009 10:18 AM

Sounds good if you Epic allows you to do it. I haven't yet got a copy of real JJ3, so any kind of new Jazz game is welcome.

Because of all those problems with getting the source code of JJ2, I'm really planning to try to code a clone of JJ2 that could work as close like JJ2 as possible. But because of no knowledge about coding a game, this project will be big and might abanbone before the clone is ready.

About the legality: The game will use the original files (levels, audio, episodes, tilesets... etc.) of JJ2 (retail), so the original game is needed, so everyone who wants to use the clone, must have a copy of original game and there shouldn't be any copyright fights because they loose nothing if/when I release the clone.

Because I would prefer people to read and get an answer instead of asking blindly. For the record, the answer is no, and had you read back a mere one page even you would have gotten that answer. ._.

Sorry to bring this back, but I noticed recently (maybe it's been a month or two by now) that the ambesoftware site is now password protected? Someone's doing something D:.

Jerrythabest Jul 15, 2009 01:19 PM

hmmm.. usually such signs of activity brings hope to 'the peoples'.

But this feels different to me :(

Take One Jul 16, 2009 06:34 AM

To be honest, I have a feeling that the password protection thing means that the rent for the site hasn't been paid for a while. It's a real shame - after saying that he'd announce that the project has died and they'd release all the material for it, then just disappearing. I was trying to do a bit of work for it, too, but he didn't reply to e-mails after a while, and then this happened. If that really is the end of this project, I'm sure there will be other opportunities, but I'll always be open to the possibility of this being revived sometime in the future.

abraker Jul 26, 2009 04:30 PM

Hey guys! This is Doldiz! I've found Jazz the JackRabbit 3 ALPHA DEMO! Unfortunatly that's the farthest we get. Enjoy the unfinished version... not that it will ever be finished :(

abraker Jul 26, 2009 04:31 PM

Here's the link(on the next reply)

Olsen Jul 26, 2009 04:52 PM

That's old news I'm afraid. :)

Jerrythabest Jul 26, 2009 11:45 PM

Triple post and warez link :o

I vote to keep the link here. It's totally worth it. Too little community members have ever tried JJ3.

Torkell Jul 27, 2009 09:52 AM

Sorry, it's warez.

Dermo Jul 27, 2009 03:32 PM

Can we not revive this thread anymore? It's too depressing...

Jerrythabest Jul 28, 2009 12:57 AM

It's not about reviving the thread, Dermo, it's about reviving the project ;)

abraker Jul 29, 2009 04:56 PM

Ok then, if JJ3 will never be done, and the demo is not allowed, why talk about it? It only brings more depresion.

Jerrythabest Jul 30, 2009 01:11 PM

IMO, talking about our wonderful 3D dream also gives hope.

dermo529 Jul 30, 2009 02:31 PM

*cough*

So lets talk about JCS v2 that Neo is supposed to be creating. He got started. Where's that (-)(-)(-)(-)(-)(-)(-) now??? Where is HE? HUH?????

DarkB Aug 1, 2009 12:40 AM

I think JCS v2 will not be released too soon.Or maybe is not supposed to be released ;)

Sonyk Aug 1, 2009 10:22 AM

Or he's just busy and instead of antagonizing him over it you ought to just give him he benefit of the doubt and move on with your lives?

yea this option is good ;)

Troglobite Aug 2, 2009 06:51 PM

I still have hope after someone (Violet I think?) posted that foreground trigger level.

abraker Aug 5, 2009 11:22 AM

What new features should JCS v.2 will have? Can we request the features?

He is not the first person to get that foreground triggers. Neo has (neobeo's firetruck) and i believe blur has? If Neo ever releases his new JCS v2. then foreground triggers can be implemented through the bug he found.

Now this map i always thought perculiar. I suspect the Neo---> who uploaded it is NeoBeo. Why? when not in SP mode, both flags turn blue to avoid accidental captures. I have never seen another map of such. It was uplaoded FEb 26th 2009 so the project could still be go?
