It's just as stupid as deleteing a file off your computer, or removing/reuploading a download on J2O.

Jerrythabest Mar 19, 2006 12:45 PM

all three things stated above arent stupid at all

1. Deleting files isnt bad
2. Removing downloads isnt bad, as long as it is sucky
3. Reuploading isnt bad AT ALL

n00b Mar 19, 2006 12:50 PM

Neither is removing a tile you made that you feel shouldn't be a part of the tileset.
If you say no agaisnt that, you're saying no to deleting a file you feel shouldn't be a part of your computer space.

Jerrythabest Mar 19, 2006 12:53 PM

hmm I dont really see the link as just removing a tile others like still is worse than deleting a file on your pc:P

Also, tilesets dont have a recylcle bin, as far as I know

Stijn, stop the useless yelling, we're discussing a LMAT rule, at least I am. I havn't made any posts since your last complaint that was hatefilled/inteded for a fight.
The problem with the internet is that text can be intepreted far too many ways.
People these days.

EDIT- jerry: I have a pair of pants, people like the pants, but I hate them. What you're basically saying is that it's not right for me to get rid of my own pants because other people like them.

FQuist Mar 19, 2006 01:34 PM

Not saying in admin capacity: Jerry, you're not being constructive by just saying "nah" everytime someone presents an argument. Please stop filling this thread with useless posts in this way. If you do not have better arguments then "no" and "it just is" please kindly stop discussing, since you aren't ever going to convince anyone that way.

Saying in admin capacity: If the two of you like to continue, start some other topic on this LMAT rule. Don't do it here, ok?

NeonPSY Mar 19, 2006 01:44 PM

Let's call it....Controversy Swamp!

P¼ul Mar 20, 2006 09:22 AM

i think you have said twice that you will go away from this thread and you still didnt... :H

so did we decide on who makes the ex level the name yet?

cooba Mar 24, 2006 11:27 AM

So far I don't see the public interested in finishing this LMAT.

Birdie Mar 24, 2006 11:35 AM

I'll Arange tiles if no one else will.

n00b Mar 24, 2006 11:36 AM

Since waiting for others who I hoped were better at masking than I was is not paying off, I volunteer to mask the set.

cooba Mar 24, 2006 12:22 PM

Like I said, arranging the tiles won't be really needed, seeing as the latest .png's tile order was fairly convenient... although I could be wrong. Comments anyone?

CrimiClown Mar 24, 2006 12:59 PM

The order is fine. If needed, I feel like making an example level.

blurredd Mar 24, 2006 08:56 PM

I should probably warn ahead of time that the leaves will probably be a bit tricky to use in a level. And right now there are three shades of near-black tiles which may be indistinguishable for users with darker screen displays.

cooba Mar 30, 2006 11:42 AM

It could be also a good idea to keep people informed about the progress, n00b and blur.

cooba Apr 7, 2006 11:47 AM

Also, in case I don't get any response anytime soon, I'll assign other people to do the mask and the palette.

blurredd Apr 7, 2006 08:33 PM

So much for multitasking. Anyway, like I said before, the palette's basically done. By the way, the image in my sig uses preliminary alternate palette colors. I've tested the two palette versions in a level I made, and I think they came out fairly well so far (I should probably post screenshots soon).

Doubble Dutch Apr 8, 2006 09:28 PM

Ah, progress; already its touched the months of febuary, march and april; can we make it to may?

Oh, I'll help on that.

n00b Apr 10, 2006 10:54 AM

I had halted progress on masking due to a project at a school, but that has been completed, and I can resume working on the mask again.
I have a guesstimate of about 4% completion at current time.

blurredd Apr 20, 2006 01:45 PM

A screenshot:

And this is the only screenshot I'm making for now--at least until I get some opinions. If n00b is going to be busy, I could probably do the mask as well.

n00b Apr 20, 2006 01:50 PM

It may be a good idea for you to take over the masking.
Theres too many last-minute-projects-for-end-of-year thingies flying about my classes recenty, and while I should be done with my current school projects tomorrow, there may be a new one next week.
I'll upload what I did on the mask in abit

CrimiClown Apr 21, 2006 05:21 AM

BlurredD, that looks nice. The leaves match the trees, the bricks match the wood, it's about right. :)

n00b, don't you hate it when school does things like that to you? I'm DROWNING in schoolwork right now. ;P

cooba Apr 21, 2006 08:53 AM

By the way, blur's screenshot represents a different version of the palette rather than the one were working with. Just so you know.

I know. i like both versions.

ShadeJackrabbit Apr 21, 2006 12:00 PM

Wow, it looks great. I wish I had more time to be here. (Stupid motherboard and all it's crashing) But things seem to have progressed well.

P¼ul Apr 24, 2006 01:14 AM

this looks gr8

Grytolle Apr 24, 2006 01:44 AM

I haven't been following this so closely, but that screenshot looks simply awesome.

Same here. That screenshot is 100% worthy of being called "simply awesome."

Doubble Dutch Apr 25, 2006 06:18 PM

Indeed, its sheer awesomeness is such that it must be qualified with 'simply'

No, it's more like if me and jam had a co-production, and I decided to remove my parts of the source code, then recompile and upload again.

blurredd May 12, 2006 09:39 AM

Today I decided to put aside my other projects as awesome as they are and make the mask once and for all. So I uploaded it with the rest of the tileset images into a zip here. The mask just needs some mask messages, and I don't want to make them myself. I'll supply a mini example level as soon as the final version is made (it's not meant to be the official example level, but the tileset can be a bit tricky to use).

P¼ul May 12, 2006 11:50 AM

breaking news, people! cooba and me wrote a quick mask message and i (with my photoshop 7.0 skillz })) made it work as it should. thanks for faw to uploading on foxmage, etcetc, now people (me and blur ;)) can start on making the ex levels now.

blurredd May 12, 2006 01:23 PM

I think the file names could be better as it's not immediately obvious what LMATFeb01.j2t and LMATFeb02.j2t refer to. And the tileset names would be better as something like "LMAT: OW Swamps." This way the entire name could be seen and the tilesets will be located near the other LMAT sets. Also, I completely screwed up and the two versions of the set are slightly different (I reuploaded the images btw). I guess I shouldn't rush things too much. Someone else should really look over the tileset as well (especially the mask).

Doubble Dutch May 13, 2006 09:16 PM

Excellent!

Then it is done?
