The very same common sense which would have averted this whole entire thing?

FQuist Jan 4, 2006 03:46 PM

Can you guys please stop it.

Blackraptor Jan 4, 2006 04:34 PM

this made me laugh.

FireSworD Jan 4, 2006 05:01 PM

Some of you guys really need to get out more.

Odin Jan 4, 2006 05:01 PM

That would only delay the posts.

blurredd Jan 4, 2006 08:13 PM

Since this chapter of LMAT is finally done, maybe we can start thinking about the next LMAT.

CrimiClown Jan 5, 2006 04:25 AM

I second Blur. LMAT Februari sounds better anyway. =P

*claims the page, because nobody did*

WaterRabbit Jan 5, 2006 06:06 AM

What about finishing LMAT(September)?

CrimiClown Jan 5, 2006 06:17 AM

September just plain sucked. Deal with it. =\

cooba Jan 5, 2006 06:27 AM

I'm so glad we got over this at last =P.

I liked september.

n00b Jan 5, 2006 11:38 AM

LMAT September should be forgotten.
It never existed.

So much potential wasted.

Odin Jan 5, 2006 12:39 PM

I think labeling LMAT tilesets months just puts more pressure to get it done on time, which reduces quality and possibly speed. I suggest we don't do that.

cooba Jan 5, 2006 12:53 PM

Kansas was pretty good, though. And you don't get much pressure until a few last days anyway.

Odin Jan 5, 2006 01:25 PM

Nonetheless, it just makes people expect the tileset to come out on the month, when in this case it didn't happen. :P

Risp_old Jan 5, 2006 01:44 PM

Aww, does that mean that I wasted my time drawing that pirate zepplinship thing?

blurredd Jan 5, 2006 01:54 PM

It might just be better to number them for now on (e.g. LMAT #4 for the next one). I still think most of the work should be done within a month though. Quality is mostly an issue of who's contributing and what's already been contributed.

No, just toss in the next LMAT before we have a chance to make a theme

blurredd Jan 5, 2006 02:09 PM

Also, how the tileset is handled after the month (or whatever designated time period) is over has to be improved. Maybe anyone should be allowed to compile the tileset with whatever changes they want, and the best version is made into the official LMAT tileset.

On a side note, LMAT (September) can still be salvaged although I think it will need a lot of changes.

CrimiClown Jan 5, 2006 02:15 PM

In my opinion, we should give up September. Let's just start off clean in Februari (Oops, shortest month! :O ). This will give us whole of Januari to come up with idea's and themes and God knows what.

Violet CLM Jan 5, 2006 02:36 PM

I hope to get September working within the next few days if nobody else does. Then we have something to work on until February, which I have been discussing with Cooba.

blurredd Jan 5, 2006 02:38 PM

Here's an idea (based off what Crimi said): how about a thread just for posting random groups of tiles and themes to see what fits together. Suggestions can be saved for later, and the best tiles will be used to start the next LMAT. This will inevitably exclude some contributions, but it will provide a great base for the next tileset.

Or is this all too similar to LMAT itself?

I personally think this could work. And, it won't be as LMAT, because you just post what YOU think should be tiles.

Violet CLM Jan 5, 2006 02:44 PM

That could work... there does seem to be a certain aspect in LMAT of taking old unused tiles and getting them out into the mainstream. I do have a plan for something that February could be based on, but if you want to try that and see what sort of things people can come up with without any prompt at all, go ahead.

Blackraptor Jan 7, 2006 12:39 PM

Hey, if none of you guys want to, I could quickly make an example level with Kansas/Arkansas (unless you dont need/want one).

cooba Jan 7, 2006 12:40 PM

...you're being kind by proposing this after the tileset's release.

CrimiClown Jan 7, 2006 12:40 PM

If you wish. I gave up since nobody really needed one, they said. If you want, you can make one so we can add it to the file on j2o. :)
