There is an upside down Diamondus set. It's called, "2 sudnomaiD," and it's very evil to build with.

How many of you remember Diamondus 4? Yellamondus!

Iam Canadian Mar 27, 2004 10:37 PM

Yellowamondous? I have that..it came with TNJJ2, right? I didn't like that set; hurts my eyes.

Violet CLM Mar 27, 2004 11:15 PM

I have that. Almost as bad as Emeraldus.

Strato Mar 27, 2004 11:46 PM

Irk, Yellomondus was too much.

Lark Mar 28, 2004 04:43 PM

Emeraldus was the saddest thing I've ever made, period. I thought it was really good, and thought that everyone would use it. Now I look back at it and I'm embarassed I even made it in the first place.

Nielsje Mar 29, 2004 05:25 AM

When you will create the level pack for Anniversary Bash VI, you should really put some new levels in it. In Bash 3,4 and 5 levels like DW and BBlair were included. In my opinion it would be a good idea if we would put only levels in the pack that are really created in the years 2003 and 2004, like Waterfall Caves, Galactic Warfare, and more good levels of the last time (Medieval Skyscrapers, One Spot)

FQuist Mar 31, 2004 07:43 AM

People actually used Yellamondus? That's funny. I didn't really intend it that way. It was just a crap set made for fun. :P

Iam Canadian Mar 31, 2004 04:37 PM

Personally, I think the "Big Three" (Happy Semiconductor, Distopia and BloodBunny's Lair) should be kept out of this year's bash. They're REALLY overhosted and are quite boring now. Just my ten cents.

Nielsje Apr 1, 2004 03:47 AM

That's what I ment to say. Let's bring something in that's NEW, please.

DaRkSoNiCXSD Apr 2, 2004 04:32 AM

Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Levels over 8 from 2003-2004 make a good chance to be in I think. I think some levels are boring right now, like DW.

Nimrod Apr 6, 2004 04:59 AM

Who better to offer to host the server, than the guy who hosts the List Server 24/7 :)

Got a Dedicated Server with all the Bandwidth needed, I could host the server if needed. :)

Someone else would need to do the level pack though.

R3ptile Apr 7, 2004 05:04 AM

Levelslist for AB6.

Ok, The levelslist is finally done. I deleted many levels because I couldn't use more than 10 levels with custom tilesets. Sorry. Let's start with the list. By the way, that's only the CTF pack, the battle pack will be done later. Of course you can ask for changes in the list, this is not the finally, we can still do many changes.

(Edit: Ok, since none has complaints about the list, this is the finally list for AB6 - the CTF pack, the battle pack will be done today. ~R3ptile)

Levels by: Blackraptor, BlurredD, CelL, FireSworD, Flash, martin, Scizor CT, ShadowGPW, Snooz, stripe, Unhit.

05.) Heavenly Havoc \ Scizor CT
06.) Circuit Plug CTF \ Blackraptor
07.) Medieval Skyscrapers \ FireSworD

19.) GEMneric CTF \ stripe
20.) Slab RatZ \ ShadowGPW

Stijn Apr 7, 2004 05:11 AM

I think there are too many stripe levels in. Also, how about including Rather Useless CTF? I know I am the co-author of it, but it DID win a contest :)

NiQ Apr 7, 2004 05:12 AM

That list is fine in my opinion. i can't find cons.. :P

Nielsje Apr 7, 2004 05:12 AM

You know, I like that pack.

Chiyu Apr 7, 2004 05:40 AM

I'll have to say this about AB 6.
Good idea, alright, BUT..

I don't think the host should be allowed to let personal feelings interfere in his job to host a neutral, PUBLIC, 'party' server and disallow various people who haven't done anything wrong at JJ2..

Power abusing is not funny and I'm very disappointed that things like this are happening. Very immature behaviour indeed. Please do something about it.

Stijn Apr 7, 2004 05:43 AM

CB is right. I didn't hear any reason for the exclusion of Stiletto and Elmer, and everyone should be able to play at the server, no matter if the host likes them or not. I didn't hear anything about them cheating or crashing servers either, which is the only valid reason to do something like this IMHO.

$tilettø Apr 7, 2004 05:49 AM

yup, gotta agree with cb and flash. i aint coming.. but anyway since i've heard this. When (PA), and stop power abusing? ?_?

[Personal attack edit -FQuist]

Nimrod Apr 7, 2004 06:17 AM

Ahhh the CC Gang are moaning again :)

The simple message was, if Elmer and Stiletto come on the Bash Server throwing abuse at me, which they do in IRC and MSN, I will just ban (-) :)

Simple.

[Content edit, edited out the bad word -FQuist]

Chiyu Apr 7, 2004 06:18 AM

Actually, the simple message was; "No elmer or stilletto."

Nimrod Apr 7, 2004 06:21 AM

No Stiletto or Elmer annoying me. Thats what was meant, end of story. :7

$tilettø Apr 7, 2004 06:22 AM

(PA) and stop powerabusing. and that isnt a personal attack.....

pfff

and yer a ****head too fquist

FQuist Apr 7, 2004 06:23 AM

I think Nimrod should not ban Stilletto or Bunnyelmer unless they really behave badly and spoil the fun for others, but I have no reasons for thinking he will abuse his power. He asked me if I trusted him and I will say yes.

It's weird how people very quickly jump to power abuse accusations, for which they don't seem to have real good reasons.

I hope you don't mean me with that. I just said it would be really bad if he would ban them. Oh no I'm overreacting again :(

Chiyu Apr 7, 2004 06:27 AM

I think so too, that they should only be banned when they behave bad in the server. But the problem is that Nimrod has already denied them acces BEFORE the server was even hosted.

Btw, if Stiletto's message was a PA, then "Aaah the CC gang is moaning" is a PA too. Besides, Flash isn't even in CC so you're argument is total BS again. :)

The plan was simple, although misunderstood.

The fact they spend there whole time trying to attack me, and my integrity. Its getting stupid now.

What was meant, is that if they come in there and spend there time attacking me, like they do on MSN and IRC, I wont take it, I will just simply kick them (or ban, depending on how bad it was).

I think thats fair enough, it was a warning to them, which got taken the wrong way.

FQuist Apr 7, 2004 06:34 AM

AFAIK that's not true, Craccoboy.

And PA? No. I see no PA in there. It's close to one, but what Nimrod was told by Stilletto was clearly a questioning if intelligence and maturity, which is something else than telling people they're moaning, I think. But my grasp of english is not fantastic, so I'll let someone else judge. Now, in the meantime, let's go back to discussing the level pack instead of this non-scandal.

Stijn Apr 7, 2004 06:41 AM

Ok add fuctf01 :(

ShadowGPW Apr 7, 2004 06:46 AM

Anyway, back to the topic; What do you think about the Levelslist on top? Should we change it? Is it alright?

It is fine in my opinion. ;)

Nimrod Apr 7, 2004 01:54 PM

Right, so I assume its 1.23, as thats the version most people have?

My main issue now, which is a serious one this year, is cheat and crash protection.

Sadly, more and more people are learning how to crash servers, I've seen programs designed to do it, and iv seen PHP scripts designed to do it. It can be done almost untraceable. Sadly, we will have to hope that a lot of people will respect this event, and not crash it. But some people might, so we got to think about what we will use to prevent it. Catylism could be useful (i think thats how its spelt) to ban Laser Shield Users. Although this doesnt stop people using packet methods, to crash servers. We will just have to hope that people wont. But on the same note, I will need some very well trusted Americans, who can remotely log into my server, and reload JJ2, should someone decide to crash it. I have 3 european admins allready, who can do it (Nimrod Online Employees, Myself, Xtreem and Seven aka Blaster). They job will be to keep an eye on the server, and reset it, should the need to rise.

So at the moment, I will be running Catlyism by Overload, and Links Apprended program (spelt wrong i know) that will keep an eye of whos connecting, and log there IP. Is there any other programs people could recommend, to help prevent cheaters, or crashers? Or generally make the game more enjoyable for everyone.

and on the note of cheaters, Everyone is welcome into the server, (even people i hate ;-)), but i will not tolerate anyone cheating, A kick will happen, and if it continues, I'm affraid I may have to ban (or, whoever is actively admin'ing, will ban)

I have good faith in Reptile, getting a good level pack togeather, and feel free to give him feedback and ideas as to what you want on it :)

Thanks,

Feedback welcome :D

Monolith Apr 7, 2004 06:02 PM

Ok, aside from all the trust and hacking issues, we need to set a time for the bash. How about something like: Friday 20:00 GMT (12:00 PDT, 15:00 EDT) to Sunday 02:00 GMT (18:00 PDT, 21:00 EDT)?

Nimrod Apr 7, 2004 06:38 PM

Was talking to Newspaz about the times, We were talking about a Saturday Afternoon Launch (GMT, so that means it will be Saturday early morning for americans) till Monday.

This is soley cos its a Friday Night and I for one, do like to go out and get rather drunk ;-)

But if people want it up on a Friday Night, Im sure I can arrange one of the other Admins to launch it at a set time on the Server.

Newspaz Apr 7, 2004 10:56 PM

We could also do CTF to start with, and have battle on Sunday/Early Monday.

Or the other way around of course....

Might I suggest looking at the last two Bash's battle packs for ideas?

R3ptile Apr 8, 2004 02:41 AM

Battle pack is nearly done!

Ok, there it comes... This time the problem was a bit different - there are only few new battle levels, the old golden ones are passworded, and I can't find their makers anywhere, because they probaly left JJ2 and the community long ago. I still had that limitation, so I couldn't use more than 10 custom tilesets. I tried to do the best I can, and find the most quality battle levels in JJ2. I also gave a break to new levelmakers to show what they can do, and don't put only EvilMike and CelL's levels (just an example). Oh well, I hope you like this pack, and if you have comments or suggestions then post them here, and I'll see what can I do. This is absolutely not the final list, and anything might be changed.

(P.S: Yes, I put some classic levels I liked, you don't have a problem, do you?)

Levels by: Blackraptor, BlurredD, Bobby aka Dizzy, Disguise, EvilMike, FireSworD, Flash, Labratkid, Newspaz, Nightmare, Satan, Scizor CT, Snooz, ShadowGPW.
