Quist:1. He sounds like a bloody nerd... he sounds like he's trying to be mature that's what nerds sound like. We're the youth not some adult wannabies. 2. that is true but let's say we are 'debating' about if salt is good with tomatoes then I want to be able to say that it tastes like and then but in some word that will get censored. 3. that thaught crossed my mind when posting, and no, it's not the same cos they know me and the other dude and whatever is between us. 4. i understood that but that got very little to do with this post still lol.
But about the last bit you said in your post, that's wrong because in some post of mine I go "What the (curse word)?!" and it is replaced as "What the (four stars)?!" and Derby comes along editing it into "What?!" now I feel there like he is some egocentral person on some quest to mak the JCF his ideal eden. I call that farty.

I really should have said this yesterday. But this was uncalled for. I may not like F.Quist at all, but really, stereotyping is pretty much wrong and should be avoided at all costs. It's inappropriate and should stay off the boards. That's 1 way of inducing hate into the forumz.

Michael..
You are a perfectly normal teenager. In other words, you need help.

cooba Jul 12, 2004 10:34 AM

I claim this page for my high grammar skillz, and you can't deny it.

You're not at all funny. Leave him alone, you make it worse, and you look stupid when you try to make fun of him. Put it to rest already, in other words, END IT! Stop fighitng.

Fawriel Jul 12, 2004 11:10 AM

*shrugs* You make it look like you were the only ones with the right to say what you're thinking.
That's just my opinion about kids these days. And I have my reasons for it.
Besides, who are you to tell me I look stupid?

FQuist Jul 12, 2004 03:02 PM

He didn't call you stupid, Piccolo.

Tublear: thanks for defending me, but he wasn't actually referring to me. Defend RSPSS FR instead.

Derby: Content removal. The filtered word removed was used in a most unnecessary manner.

That's pretty true. I agree on that one.

STereotyping is not much to do with this, and half of stereotyping is perfectly correct, there are alot of wrong ones. (like i was born in England, lived there 7 years and AM I POLITE?! DO I LIKE TEA?! no and no.)

He wasn't really funny i agree, but he don't look stupid well relativly he doesn't. He failed making fun of me cos I just took it as the mature thing again. Stop fighting... I am debating! I sure you'd want to fight or debate or whatever but just want to suck up to mods.

Nitro Jul 13, 2004 02:41 AM

Oh and after looking at ya profile Picollo, wanna guess when you was born? same year as me. we are both 16.
CONTRADICT!

Can you provide constructive examples on uses of current filtered swearing words? I have seen much, much much stricter filters than this one.

Please care to explain why you think the majority of the board members are immature to you.

..erm. You've got to explain the meaning of THAT to me. In what way is it a contradiction that we are the same age?

And. *salutes* I'm a proud freak. Wheehey!

To your second paragraph no, that's a waste of time. It's not they are immature, It's that they spam at the wrong time, that's my problem with some of the board members, not majority.

To your first paragraph....
~**** Tracy
-The Chronocles of Rid****.

What the hell is the point Moonblaze, do you make any sense at all, how can I really? You know Derby is gonna edit me, he doesn;'t care if a profane word was used as part of a title of a movie or character or whatever, he just will edit it anyway!

I thought KR Splat's post in another topic, would remain as it is. It was just examples, It gets edited anyway!

MoonBlazE Jul 13, 2004 01:00 PM

I don't really understand why the word filter needs ajustedment then... Just so you can type an unusual name that contains a swearing word? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Nitro Jul 13, 2004 03:28 PM

You calling yourself a freak...you explained it to yaself Piccolo.

FQuist Jul 13, 2004 04:27 PM

" You calling yourself a freak...you explained it to yaself Piccolo."

That's just a bad remark in many ways. It has nothing to do with the matter you're talking about, it's also a debating tactic that doesn't further conversation in any way - it's just an alternative way of saying "HAHA I'm right! you lose!" without replying to people's points. You say you're debating but rather you're just throwing around remarks that do not reply to what people say.

Debating, which you say it what you want, is, however low debates so often go, usually a bit more sophisticated than this. It requires actual discussion with two- or more-sided traffic of ideas, not the one-sided direction which is occuring here, where a lot people say to you is not read, or not replied to in a normal way, but replied to with some remark that doesn't reply to their points.

Regarding this whole anti-'maturity' thing:

You appear to have adopted some sort of weird stereotyping of youth, of the meaning of mature and immature, some idealisation of acting immaturely where people who want to (try - not everyone has english has a first language - and) write proper english and listen to others and who value good discussion are somehow out of touch with 'normality' (not normal), not the people having adopted half-understandable english because they have this weird notion that it's the 'cool' way.

'Mature' is not an insult on this board, Michael. The idealisation of anti-intellectualism and anti-maturity that's been going the rounds in some places has not perpetrated this forum yet so remarks about people writing well being dumb/nerdy/stupid/whatever are pretty much humoured here.

PS, if Tublear wanted to suck up to mods he wouldn't propose (as a half-serious joke) banning them, or tell them he doesn't like them, and also criticize them on many other occasions (which is his good right to do).

Nitro Jul 14, 2004 06:53 AM

Quist I do comment on alot of the things, look at all my posts- how I reply to a post usally is copy their post and as a read a sentance I delete it and write my comment to it.
