Seattle is my favourite so far. Though I wouldn't mind Portland or Vancouver. Southern Cali I'm not too fond of.

And I will hopefully be able to go this one ;| We'll see.

UNKNOWNFILE Sep 12, 2005 04:31 PM

There is a 51% chance as of now I will be attending.
That is all.

UNKNOWNFILE Sep 18, 2005 11:08 AM

Make that 75%.

Black Ninja Oct 20, 2005 08:47 PM

This has been idle for too long. If it remains idle, I will take it upon myself to start working on planning.

Black Ninja Oct 23, 2005 08:04 AM

Sure. Trafton, I know you're reading this. Want to help me think of rux stuff to do in the Seattle area? I've already got a few ideas:

(Seattle center area:)
Space Noodle (even though it's sort of expensive, it pwns)
Sci-Fi Museum (This place pwns with a capital 'p')
The Pacific Science Center could be fun, too. They have some rux stuff there.

Please provide feedback, people.

sweet! this topic is alive again.

I'm going to attempt to ask (bribe) my parents to let me go next August.

MaGoo Oct 23, 2005 10:49 AM

That sounds a lot like EC.. and we all know how those little events turned out.

Make it Australia! Please! It's near me!

Ok, no one is showing any interest in helping, so I guess I'll take it upon myself to start work on plans.

Blackraptor Nov 7, 2005 08:21 PM

It's still rather early though, since this will be happening in around 8 -9 months.

It might also depend on the people attending, but it would be good to choose at least some events that are not really tourist attractions or museum-type things. On the previous page I suggested laser tag and bowling. There should also be plenty of 'hanging-out' time, as VelK mentioned in her post that now appears to be gone.

NovaStar Nov 10, 2005 11:41 PM

Did anyone listen?
Victoria in Asutralia!

Or if this is in March 2006 you can see the Commonweatlth Games in Melbourne while you're there!

The SlaYeR Nov 15, 2005 05:45 PM

Lancaster county, PA!!!

Grytolle Nov 20, 2005 02:56 AM

What if they discuss sex when you are around at the meeting? :(

why would they ? :S

Sonyk Dec 3, 2005 04:54 AM

To annoy UNKNOWNFILE. I know I would.

UNKNOWNFILE Dec 3, 2005 08:06 AM

I'm less than likely to come now.

Blackraptor Dec 3, 2005 08:24 AM

What's wrong with discussing sex? ;(. As long as you don't continously start sex-related conversations everyday at the meeting or do it to intentionally (-) someone off, I don't really see what the issue is...

UNKNOWNFILE Dec 3, 2005 08:34 AM

It was a repetitive discussion topic in #jj2, along with ops not doing their jobs correctly.

Grytolle Dec 3, 2005 09:04 AM

pfff.

Link Dec 3, 2005 10:22 AM

Just for consideration, I heard very little sex talk at EC2005. People are far less comfortable with such discussions in person. And people are also a lot nicer in person.

Trafton Dec 3, 2005 07:45 PM

I don't even remember any sex talk at EC2005. The only thing I remember happening in that area is Nimrod sending an offensive link (which I laughed at nervously at the time, but was rather annoyed at). It was pretty PG.

MaGoo Dec 3, 2005 07:52 PM

I think that during EC, most of us were having too much fun to think about sex.
