As soon as I have some levels... :p

Pageclaim, by the way. :D

Ðx Sep 5, 2005 05:10 AM

bah..

CrimiClown Sep 5, 2005 10:37 AM

I know, I know... I was intending to start the levelmaking earlier, but... School, ey? :(

Ðx Sep 5, 2005 10:38 AM

CrimiClown Sep 5, 2005 11:02 AM

Screenies! XD

Jazz can shoot you... :(

But you get to hit him back! 8D

*Imageshack may not always show up... Refresh a couple of times*

LittleFreak Sep 5, 2005 11:10 AM

Nice screenshots. :)

Make sure the shooting animations are properly though.

CrimiClown Sep 5, 2005 11:14 AM

The animations work fine. :D Just calculate their position. :p

Edit: Jazz won't be just 'shooting'... :D If Spaz can get a shield... Maybe I said too much...

LittleFreak Sep 5, 2005 11:34 AM

What I mean is the following:

If the shooting animation has just one frame per tile (so if Jazz shoots 10 tiles the animation has 10 frames), it will look crappy. When possible, you should make the animation smoother by adding more frames.

CrimiClown Sep 5, 2005 11:35 AM

@LF:

I have one on the side of the tile, one in the middle and one on the other side. I guess that'll do. :D

LittleFreak Sep 5, 2005 11:37 AM

Should do fine I guess. ;)

It's also okay to have fewer frames, but the more the better it will look.

CrimiClown Sep 5, 2005 11:41 AM

It does.

Talking about animations, I am a little late with the Trailer Movie. It'll come soon, I promise. :D

Ae Sep 5, 2005 03:48 PM

Is that the tileset I sent you the image for? What did you do to get JCS to build it? It fails to load the image file for me.

ShadeJackrabbit Sep 5, 2005 03:58 PM

This looks REALLY REALLY, REALLY realy good.

I added some of your sprites to the Castle2N by Blur (With permission) and some of Nick's creations. The results are shown in the screenshots. And, I dunno what went wrong when YOU were compiling it, but it worked perfectly for me. :)

Thanks. This means you owe me a review when it's done, I guess? ;)

Haggis McHaggis Sep 6, 2005 09:50 AM

Hey! I've seen some of your creations before!

Anyway, I am new to these forums, so I don't know if this is 'the hot stuff' nowadays, but I think it looks pretty impressive. :)

Xobim Sep 6, 2005 10:13 AM

Well, episodes were allways liked, but the I don't think that anything is really hot right about now, it's just nice and it keeps the community alive...

Those were some wonderful words... *Sniff*

Xobim Sep 6, 2005 10:38 AM

Poetry?

CrimiClown Sep 6, 2005 10:53 AM

No, but we keep the community alive. 8D

LittleFreak Sep 6, 2005 12:24 PM

The community is divided between SP fans, online players, those who don't play JJ2 at all and some idiots.

ShadeJackrabbit Sep 6, 2005 02:09 PM

Yes, I will review it. I'm thinking if all goes better than planned, you'll be at the top of the Single Player level list.

Uh, that would mean Crimi would need to make a better pack than Tomb Rabbit, better than FSP and even better than Invasion of Deserto. That would mean a whole lot of work.

R3ptile Sep 7, 2005 03:59 AM

SP fans? More like people who aren't able to play online.

CrimiClown Sep 7, 2005 06:25 AM

Trailer Movie is done. Radium will host it soon.

R3ptile Sep 7, 2005 06:32 AM

Trailer Movie? Sounds interesting. I'm looking forward it. ;P

Ðx Sep 7, 2005 06:38 AM

UPLOAD ;D

CrimiClown Sep 7, 2005 07:03 AM

Nah, I'm not going to upload it on J2O, if that's what you mean. I've been wasting their space for too long now. ;)

I MADE A DEADLINE! That's a first! XD

LittleFreak Sep 7, 2005 08:06 AM

I'm looking forward to seeing the trailer.

Don't fall into the trap Ninja Dodo fell into with his Lost World Episode though.

Levels > extras

True, there are not many of that kind.

CrimiClown Sep 7, 2005 08:14 AM

Hey, ofcourse levels > extra's. But the cutscenes will be to explain a lot of the story.

LittleFreak Sep 7, 2005 08:23 AM

Clever made ingame cutscenes > videos. =P

CrimiClown Sep 7, 2005 08:27 AM

Yeah... Only if we could make real 'cut-scenes', with use of an animation program, so we weren't limited to Jazz/Spaz movements. And, limited to text strings, ofcourse. 8D

There's a program called ddflic that is supposed to do this but nobody got it working yet (except maybe JSZ Jazz?). Trafton has it (others probably have it to but I don't know them 8D), so I guess you can ask him if you want it.

CrimiClown Sep 7, 2005 12:26 PM

I got a reply from Rad already, but he doesn't seem to have posted a link here... Rad, show us the magic words! :p

Radium Sep 7, 2005 12:47 PM

Abra Kadabra!

=OOOOOO

That was actually much better than I expected. Haw.

CrimiClown Sep 7, 2005 01:13 PM

8D Finally something I 'AM' good at. :p Well, with Paul's help, that is... :(

It's still on J2C by the way.
