I think the gradient looks fine, it just doesn't go with the ground all too well.

Jerrythabest May 13, 2006 11:50 PM

you cant change my mind! :p:p:Z :Z :Z

pageclaim in the name of that tile being added.

minmay May 14, 2006 10:22 AM

Aww, forgot to claim this page. D=

cooba May 15, 2006 07:29 AM

So far I don't see people particularly excited about this tileset... that means we will either have to get to work with KBoutR's and TB's tiles (which pretty much clash style-wise?), or either I will have someone to draw some random tiles and we would work on them. Just let's do anything, I don't want this to become the second September and I'm pretty sure no one else does.

Fawriel May 15, 2006 08:30 AM

Aaah, hold it, hold it! I can try to draw some ground tiles.

Anyone like the idea of cartoony style?

n00b May 15, 2006 11:02 AM

Yes, I back the idea of a cartoony style for this set 200%.

Remember our inspiration is coming from what is essenitally a WB cartoon in comic form.

Yes, If it is cartoony I might help alot. :D

CrimiClown May 18, 2006 06:06 AM

Am I the only one who really reads "Intergalactic Redneck Bar" in comic four instead of 'Repneck'?

Fawriel May 18, 2006 06:14 AM

..that would make a lot more sense, too.

P¼ul May 18, 2006 06:36 AM

new ground

and sorry for being a (-) and not actually cropping the image

R3ptile May 18, 2006 06:39 AM

you like green

Fawriel May 18, 2006 09:16 AM

Aw crap, I completely forgot that I sort of promised some ground tiles.. but my attempts right now don't seem to be bearing any fruit, really..

EDIT: To be more exact, this is my best attempt so far.. ..it looks sort of pretty, but is definitely useless for a tileset.
Sorry.

Which could be a referrance to Chris, being called a Redneq in the famous 'hidden' sprite.

Woohoo! Frost, discoverer of the Intergalactic Redneck Bar!

*cough*

Paul, those ground tiles look nice, but it sorta lacks the cartoon style... I like it, though, and wouldn't mind too much if we continued with that... Although more people would have to agree for me to use those and make new tiles...

Jerrythabest May 18, 2006 09:51 AM

great tiles, p4ul!

I think thats the point. The p looks like a Flipped and Mirrored d. It might be Nick poking fun at people making words seem "sci-fi" by just changing one or two letters of a normal word. Maybe.

I also like Faw's tiles.

Compare "D" to "p"... They don't differ much... It could be just a little too quickly drawn... ;)

I'll just keep calling it Redneck because Chris is a redneq!

n00b May 18, 2006 10:41 AM

Nick has a fairly consistant handwriting style, I don't any of his D's have that line seen in the Repneck logo. Or it could 'Rep'neck for 'Red'neck 'Rep'tiles.

... They have Cola Beer! I want some at my local bar.

cooba May 18, 2006 10:42 AM

Or how about we make grass tiles useable as a 3D plane and make ancient Greek temples to be put atop the 3D grass!

But this makes up for it. :D

Birdie May 18, 2006 01:28 PM

I also like Faw's tiles.

Uh, Just a shot at it.

It's NOT grass.

Radium May 18, 2006 05:25 PM

But if it was rock, why would the gift be of any significance?

There's only one answer: It's made of PLASTIC. I vote for Faw's tiles, even though the acid colors would burn out the player's retinas after a bit.

NeonPSY May 18, 2006 06:33 PM

It's a cartoon, whos to say isn't grass? Besides, we can change things can't we? (example: last LMAT somehow got a castle in it.)

Fawriel May 18, 2006 08:47 PM

..if someone finds a way to use my tiles, feel free to..
..hmmm, I'll have to talk with Radium about this, since I'm too lazy to figure it out myself.

Jerrythabest May 19, 2006 06:26 AM

I like neon's tiles =) if you guys like faw's, why not add both?

Jerrythabest May 19, 2006 06:39 AM

Because Nick's grass and rocks have a signifacnt difference.
Compare This grass to the rat planet's surface

This is somewhat of what I was thinking..

Just something I conjured up in psp.

blurredd May 19, 2006 08:03 PM

Does it have to be yellow and green?

Doubble Dutch May 19, 2006 08:27 PM

Yes. re comic.

Its a primitive form of ground lichen; it covers the entire ground in a leafless monocolored matt of vegetation about an inch thick and feels like soft linoleum.

Jazz should be aware those rocks contain rhodium ore and are thus worth approximately $500 a gram.

Jerrythabest May 19, 2006 10:34 PM

now I like neon's second tiles best :d

Fawriel May 20, 2006 12:46 AM

This LMAT seems to be encountering an interesting new problem.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually like the idea. Although Greek temples don't particularly fit in there. Something similar would be cool and could catch the plateau-y appearance of the planet.
