That Sluggion level looks kind of linear. (No offence to the author)

ShadeJackrabbit Jan 18, 2007 10:32 AM

Okay, it looks really cool. but are red springs powerful enough for that Medivo thing?

cooba Jan 18, 2007 10:49 AM

Yah, they do the job.

Stijn Jan 18, 2007 10:50 AM

jah provide magic herbs

PurpleJazz Jan 18, 2007 10:52 AM

Those spike balls in that Medivo level remind me of Running Rabbit...

What do you expect of a Castle/Temple, anyway? ;|

PurpleJazz Jan 18, 2007 11:14 AM

If there was a bit more EC it might look better.

Olsen Jan 18, 2007 11:17 AM

Which is why it aint done, just compare the lower "cave" tiles to the upper. ;P

Camou Jan 18, 2007 11:46 AM

... Can you make good screenshots? This is not impressing at all. This is just average stuff. Atleast make screenshots of areas that look more finished than those things.

Sacrush Jan 18, 2007 01:54 PM

Camou please stop complaining, I have played most levels and they look awesome. Trust me. Anyway, this is some bad attemp to make some impressive screenshots

I think it'd be pretty cool if IC could get a video of the segment in the latest Medivo screenshot, that part really got my interest.

ShadeJackrabbit Jan 18, 2007 01:59 PM

Yah, it looked challenging.

Those both look nice. ;D

Stijn Jan 18, 2007 07:13 PM

yes well in jj2 espeicallt screenshots dont matter much as long as he gameplay is good which is not visivle in those screenshots

FireSworD Jan 18, 2007 10:01 PM

Keep in mind this project is a 'jj2 remake' of jj1 and there can't be anything too different to be outstanding. I don't expect so. However I am not seeing anything clever done gameplay wise with the concept as of yet.

Stijn Jan 19, 2007 04:14 AM

How were we supposed to know this was a remake of JJ1? Judging the screenshots, I thought the only JJ1 connection was revisiting the planets.

DarkSonic Jan 19, 2007 06:01 AM

I think it's the release date too(August 1) and well, I know that gameplay is not visible on those screens. In a bit more than 6 months we will know how the gameplay is. IC members already know the levels made for it.

Looking at the screenshots, perhaps? I recognize the level designs from all the tubelectric shots, plus dreempipes, technoir, and possibly one of the sluggions. It's not too complicated.

Stijn Jan 19, 2007 10:59 AM

I played JJ1 several times and didn't notice similarity apart from the "approaching" shots. Not everyone knows JJ1 by heart enough to recognize small outtakes of the levels instantly.
