And since the Bash is just meant for fun, and it's fun to play a bad level on occasion, I see no reason to NOT put one of those levels in.

Okay then =D When's the bash... ;p

DarkSonic Mar 29, 2007 10:23 AM

Well, I think that playing good levels is better than playing bad levels. If you so want to play bad levels, then host a server with bad levels. The Bash arrangers know what they're doing.

n00b Mar 29, 2007 10:40 AM

1-2 bad levels in bash lineup =/= whole server of bad levels

As opposed to the arrangers of Bash 1-7?

DarkSonic Mar 29, 2007 11:41 AM

Not really, because the old Bashes focused more on old levels and some good new ones. But in AB8 there were more new levels, and in this Bash there are more new levels as well. Only a few classics, which is good enough for me. So if you're going to put other levels than new ones, put some classics in instead of 'bad' levels.

Stijn Mar 29, 2007 11:44 AM

We shouldn't neglect our past.

I'm happy to see Hells Angels in, but apart from that, what levels do you mean with "classics"?

DarkSonic Mar 29, 2007 12:03 PM

Well, Battle levels like Rockingham Gardens, silent slayers and such. And for the CTF levels I mean the levels that are still played a lot like Semi, but also old ones like Crimson Diamond and JAIL.

20. Exit Sand Land by OLsen

Did the list get updated in the meanwhile? I was talking about Battle btw, not CTF, didn't take a look at that list.

Edit: @ FireSword's post below: My thoughts exactly.

FireSworD Mar 29, 2007 12:07 PM

I will try to avoid defining theese as 'bad' levels. Simply they are levels that are fun despite the fact they have to break certain standards to obtain that sort of 'fun'. Not to say quality levels aren't fun, theese are levels that are fun for a different sort of reason.

I'm all for it since the anniversary bash is supposed to be all about community members getting together, reminising, having fun etc. Not so much about elitism.

Don't forget that level randomization can get screwy sometimes. I remember that Lost World Battle got hosted like every third level in bash7, which wasn't really the most fun experience.

n00b Mar 29, 2007 02:41 PM

Sorry, I just tend to assume glitches will be fixed in a two year time span

Jerrythabest Mar 30, 2007 12:29 PM

Two years.. right.

I'll just 'do' something tomorrow and come up with a list of possible GF levels ;p :p

I haven't said you would be the one hosting the levels.

Grytolle Mar 30, 2007 01:41 PM

Best CTF Party Good Luck should be in! It has original and fast paced gameplay

DarkSonic Mar 31, 2007 01:26 PM

I prefer IC's Best CTF Party Good Luck. It has the same layout but it has EC and a better tileset!

Also, Quickz has just uploaded his new CTF level and I think it's better than Hydronificant!

Which is why it sucks. Best CTF Party Good luck 1 with EC? Hahaha, no. Thats like Jazz 1 without the speed, guns, or green rabbit. And quite personally, the tileset choice sucks. It's like someone in IC said "OMG This one is blue toooo!!! IT IZ THE SAMMME!!!"

Now, Best CTF Party Good Luck 2 is a different story. It's got eyecandy, new music, AND A NEW GAMEPLAY TWIST THAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE FASTPACED!!

I posted the idea of a GF server in the bash forums about two weeks before you did

snzspeed Apr 1, 2007 03:43 AM

so what are the final lists?

Camou Apr 1, 2007 03:43 AM

When is the bash?

cooba Apr 1, 2007 03:44 AM

April 6th-9th

DarkSonic Apr 1, 2007 05:30 AM

Well, I don't know about the final lists but I think that there have been some changes. The ones who make the Bash know best though. I'm almost sure I won't make a Battle level anymore, because I'm too busy with other things this week(like school) Anyway, I suggest Abandoned Sidewalks instead of Hydronificant! because it's better in my opinion(and I think there are more people who think it)

Leaked list from a source that wishes to be mysterious.

Battle-
Battle1
Battle2
Battle1a
Battle3
Battle4

CTF-
There will be no CTF.

Any word against it? Bad luck. THE BASH ORGANIZERS KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING EVEN IF WE DON'T. ALWAYS. THEY COULD KILL YOUR MOM AND IT'D BE OK
