Raven aka StL Dec 9, 2007 11:03 AM

Semi-final

St. Louis [0-1] Sperry (walkover)

... Her net kept crashing when we were about to play...
Anyway, when she got it working, I didn't have time left to play, nor felt like playing too much. So, I'm out.

Vegito Dec 9, 2007 11:43 AM

Only 2 forfeits in this tournament, pretty nice. Fawful unfortunately was online for the entire day, but he forgot it was an evening tournament, lol. So when Warrior had time Fawful had to go :(
And Well, St.Louis explained.

Warrior somehow beat R3ptile, 0-5, 5-3 and 5-3 (BBlair, JE and Semi) in that order. Kinda laggy it seemed as I was the host. Anyways, finals are Sperry Vs. Warrior.

R3ptile Dec 9, 2007 11:45 AM

yeah I seem to have connection problems today.. both Ana and Warrior (different servers btw) felt quite unhittable for me. oh well, Warrior played well and he deserves this win. gg

Superjazz Dec 9, 2007 11:55 AM

I'm thankful you took this tournament ahead while I was away. I'm really sorry and I promise not to held a single-tournament unless I can arrange my timetable more carefully. Now to get this thing up-to-date...

Grand-Final

Sperry [1:2] Warrior (Round 1 Semi 1-5) (Round 2 BBLair 5-1) (Round 3 JE 2-5)

R3ptile Dec 9, 2007 11:58 AM

well it kinda sucks i had to take care of more things than just playing my games, but i can't really blame you nor anyone else.. it might've not gone all that smoothly but at least this tourney does come to an end after all.

Superjazz Dec 9, 2007 12:39 PM

Warrior wins the first One-Evening Tournament. Congratulations!

I am glad this tournament went well, eventhough I kinda failed my part of it. Two games were forfeits, but at least the reasons for them were clear, so I don't feel disappointed at all. The two games I spectated were enjoyable to broadcast, and I feel we could do a tournament within a few months again. Next time I'd rather have a full-length tournament however, since helding a tournament like this within one Evening can be quite...risky. Special thanks go to Vegito, who hosted most of the games, and to R3ptile who quite much handled this tournament ahead while I was away. I must admit Warrior's win was very surprising, so eat your words Vegito? :P

Now the final standings of the tournament are:

Gold: Warrior
Silver: Sperry
Bronze: R3ptile
Fourth: St.Louis {forfeit}
Fifth: Robee
Sixth: Anubis
Seventh: Ana
Eighth: FawFul {forfeit}

Vegito Dec 9, 2007 01:42 PM

*eats my words* yeah, I was surprised too. I didn't think he'd play that well lol.
Anyways, was a nice tournament yeah. I had fun hosting rounds and get players to play as well ;o. Me and R3p took your job :-( lol.
People seemed to be rather lagged today at JJ2 though >O

Raven aka StL Dec 10, 2007 10:41 AM

Good job Warrior.

Ana Dec 10, 2007 11:21 AM

gratz warrior. maybe next time a 2v2 tournament?

[GpW]Urbs Dec 11, 2007 07:22 AM

man, this stinks, i could have won. without vegito in the tournament this would have been a sinch...

btw 2v2 would rock ya, during the christmas/new year holidays?

Superjazz Dec 11, 2007 07:48 AM

Let's see, there will be JDC 14 starting next weekend. We will probably have a few small JDC-tournaments.

Ana Dec 11, 2007 12:15 PM

yeah,but a 2v2 tournament isn`t like jdc

Vegito Dec 11, 2007 12:24 PM

Talking about me all the time, Urbs? o.O There are a lot of players who are even if not better :P Lol. Anyways, I'm not up for a 2v2 tournament myself. Hate 2v2s too much for that ;p.

R3ptile Dec 11, 2007 12:27 PM

i realized i hate everything except for duels

Grytolle Dec 12, 2007 04:33 AM

2v2 would be fun, especially since it's never succeeded (?)

Enigma Dec 12, 2007 05:50 AM

They have never succeeded mainly for a reason that can't be fixed. It requires 4 people te be online simultaneously instead of just 2, and if any of those 4 have to go during the game, the game is pretty much screwed. And let's face it: tournaments with "walkover" for a result in about half the games aren't fun. Clan 3vs3 tournaments can work around this because there is a larger amount of players to choose from, but if you need the exact 4 correct people to be online, it gets quite a bit harder.

[GpW]Urbs Dec 12, 2007 12:26 PM

wow enigma, u enlightened person u. and no, not being sarcastic

BTW vegito, we all know ur might is unparalleled in the whole universe. except for gogeta ssj4.. and i haven't decided to use that nick yet.
