I figured out how to stop the water from appearing, but I can't figure out how you guys are making it past the first crab unharmed.

Darn Ratz - 2000 or less challenge

Could've got 950 if it wasn't for that stupid Gem bouncing back at me.

SPAZ18 Mar 23, 2008 02:23 PM

200K in ADF? How? I only managed to get 70250.

EDIT: Done 0 Points on MK challenge. Surprisingly easy.

EDIT2: Got 250 on Victorian Secret

I could've got 200 but ended up bumping into a Ham.

EDIT3: 300 on Thriller Gorilla (PJ's challenge)

This is fun! =D OMG, 10:54PM! That's it from me for now. Off to bed.

Gee, thanks for denying me the answer to a question I wanted. This is totally fair and awesome. Its not like I was getting to the point where figuring it out wasn't fun at all or anything.

Valco Mar 23, 2008 05:05 PM

Fine, you can help eachother.
I added the Thriller Gorilla challenge, I tested it.

Ðx Mar 24, 2008 12:32 AM

I'm busy with a boss-levelpack...

PurpleJazz Mar 24, 2008 06:16 AM

If anyone's up for a truly frustrating challenge, try this:

Reach pos 195,36 in an unedited version of Burnin Biscuits with 500 points and without losing a heart or cheating.

Valco Mar 24, 2008 06:42 AM

I just got around to testing and got 550 points, but I know it could be avoided. I'm too lazy to replay it. I'll put it on the challenge board now.

PurpleJazz Mar 24, 2008 08:40 AM

Here's more:

Complete an unedited version of Purple Haze Maze with 150 points without dieing or cheating.

Collect all 15 coins in the wind tunnel in an unedited version of SWS Anapsid. (The Battle for Carrotus)

Try this.

I'm still unsure if I shoud allow custom-made levels into the challenges. Aren't they technically all 'edited'?

-mo93- Mar 26, 2008 04:42 AM

I would try to use only standartlevel. If you run out of ideas... then use maybe some custom levels. But the problem with custom levels is, that not everyone knows, how to get it^^. So if you are posting an Challenge with custom levels, please give an link.

Valco Mar 26, 2008 06:15 AM

If I was doing custom levels, of coarse I'd include a link. But I agree with you, we'll only do custom levels when we run out of ideas for standard ones.

Vegito Mar 26, 2008 06:31 AM

I like these challenges. They're pretty nice o; and sometimes hard actually.

Puffie40 Mar 26, 2008 08:56 AM

Challenge: Complete evilmike's level series without losing a life.

Valco Mar 26, 2008 05:48 PM

Didn't I say I'm not accepting custom level challenges yet?

Jimbob Mar 28, 2008 03:44 PM

How about this one: Clear the whole Shareware Demo with 95 thousand points or more.
Dying is not allowed, but using JJK to retrieve carrots when you have full health is allowed.
Complete this without any other cheats than JJK (if JJK is needed).
EDIT: Click here. (I completed my own challenge! *evil grin*)

Valco Mar 28, 2008 07:46 PM

Your challenge makes no sense.
You can only die if you cheat to do so?

Just to help boost your points, and thus it makes it easier. Doing this (on the carrots), however, won't make anything (baddies, pickups etc) regenerate.

LittleFreak Mar 29, 2008 03:45 AM

Actually, it will. JJK kills you.

Doesn't do anything (other than decrease a life and increase your capacity for health) when you do it on the carrots. Have you ever died on a carrot before? It even keeps your weapons. Trust me, I know. Anyways, like I said, you're only allowed to do it on the carrots. ;p

Valco Mar 29, 2008 03:49 PM

Nah, that's still nonsense. REAL MEN hurt themselves to pick up carrots, there's no easy way out of my challeges. I will put up your challenge as I have proven it possible, but I'll change the rules a bit.

I hurt myself to pick up carrots if it is possible. When it is not possible, that's what I mean by using JJK to do that.

Valco Mar 29, 2008 06:34 PM

But it is possible. Therefore, cheating isn't necassery.

No, that's masochist people.

Jimbob Mar 30, 2008 10:21 AM

So I guess I'll actually do my "challenge" properly (without using JJK):

This wasn't really that much of a challenge, but at least it's not frustrating to do. Sometimes you just need to get lucky. (And here's a tip: the lesser hearts you have, the better you are when it comes to getting carrots for points.)

Valco Mar 30, 2008 07:32 PM

You needed to point that out for us? Jimbob must think we have no clue about the mechanics of the game. Or he's *Shudder* Just trying to help!

I think you must not know anything about my post above. When I posted that challenge it was quite obvious that I used JJK that time. And then I posted another screenshot (while stating the fact that I didn't use JJK) after you said not to use it. ;p

It wasn't obvious you used JJK. My "REAL MEN hurt themselves" post wasn't a joke, and with it I was technically explaining that cheating isn't necessery to achieve that score, and there are other methods. You, failing to understand this, posted the way to get it. This might have been helpful, but it shows you think that we need your help on such a simple challenge. Therefore, YOUR A QUACK :-)
