Oh, I thought 'suprise' was just American spelling, since they're too lazy to write characters they don't pronounce anyway.

He's referring to how Americans omit the "u" in "colour", "neighbourhood", etc.

n00b Dec 7, 2008 11:16 AM

One of these days I'm getting 't of the S'th so I can write my words properly like those smart Europeans.

The Menace Dec 7, 2008 12:09 PM

Here, I have the solution, just go to this site: http://www.translatebritish.com/. There problem solved.

Oh, and by the way, if we Americans are "lazy" why don't you put the 'v' in have? Also, are you enjoying your gas prices over there? In the US, gas is going down..

Nonomu198 Dec 7, 2008 12:11 PM

But it IS correct to spell color and neighborhood. "u" is a very lame letter. du u nuw wut i am tuking abuut?

Also,

I've misspelled surprising on purpose.

So ha.

TechnoPauluz Dec 7, 2008 01:15 PM

Yay foor beying of topik :P

B.T.W. Can the deadline be 23 December? I might need to betatest my level...

Valco Dec 8, 2008 07:33 PM

What if I were to submit the last level of Grace, which is ice-themed, before I released the pack itself? Would it be accepted?

PurpleJazz Dec 9, 2008 12:00 AM

Yeah, that will be fine.

Valco Dec 9, 2008 04:07 PM

Yay! I'll finish Ice Climber (Level 4) before Temple of Shifting Sand (Level 3).
I hope I win, but my chances are slim. The are some good levelmakers here.
Good luck, all.

PurpleJazz Dec 16, 2008 02:57 PM

If you guys planning to enter haven't started your level yet, start it NOW.

Hitch Dec 17, 2008 03:11 PM

Me and Faw just finished our level. Touch ups will be made tomorrow, and probably uploaded to J2O by then.

PurpleJazz Dec 19, 2008 10:49 AM

Due to popular request, the deadline has been extended to the 23rd.

PurpleJazz Dec 23, 2008 01:41 PM

The contest is now over. No more entries will be accepted.

FawFul Dec 24, 2008 07:07 AM

OBJECTION. Only speak when spoken to.

...never mind that. My congratulations to the winner! Or lack thereof!

DarkSonic Dec 25, 2008 02:32 PM

Ragnarok! Dec 27, 2008 11:21 AM

Laaame.

FawFul Dec 27, 2008 02:07 PM

I agree with Ragnarok..
The winner of an contest is the best in the competition.. it's not about quality in general.

Grytolle Dec 28, 2008 01:58 AM

hehehhehe jj2's level makers suck

TechnoPauluz Dec 28, 2008 06:04 AM

I gues it has something to do with arrogance :P

I am happy I wasn't involved with this contest, deathlines suck so do deadlines ;D

I Agree with Faw & Rag though...

Hitch Jan 3, 2009 08:02 PM

[VERY LATE RESPONSE XD]

If your going to make a contest, atleast pick a freaking winner. I don't mean to be a whinner, but honestly, we wanted to know who really came on top. I never would have volunteered to be in this if I was going to know no one was going to win. JEEZE.

That's all I have to say about that.

PurpleJazz Jan 4, 2009 01:58 AM

Ok, since you guys are so desperate...

1. A Generic Christmas CTF

This level captures the christmas spirit very well. It feels jolly and gives you that nice warm feeling during the holiday season, and makes a few innovative tileset uses, some are a bit weird but the majority of the level is well decorated. The layout and gameplay are decent enough too. While this level is nothing too great, it does what I set out you to do and so it is the winner, gj Spazzer.

2. Aurora Citadel

While this is the best entry gameplay wise, it doesn't feel quite as merry as GenXmas CTF. I dislike the dark feeling in this level, something I wouldn't think of as christmassy. The eyecandy also feels a little "spammed" and some uses are a bit too abstract for my tastes, however I liked how you extended the houses. It still gets 2nd place for having the best gameplay as mentioned beforehand. I can see this level being a decent choice for 2vs2 TBs.

3. Deck the Halls

It's such a shame this level has some serious flaws, had this had worked out it would have easily got 1st place no questions asked. I love the tileset here; a genius and funny idea of "decorating" caste to represent "Deck the halls". While the concept of 4 bases might sound like a cool idea, in reality it just glitches up the way CTF works. Also, I dislike how open the layout is, but at least there is no Seeker PU. All in all, this could have been great, if the gameplay would actually work out, but for the "cool" factor and the clever christmas theme it gets 3rd place.

DarkSonic Jan 4, 2009 06:17 AM

I object

Too bad I didn't update my level before the deadline. I don't know why I always make levels with confusing eye candy for contests, but I hope I won't do it again.

Raven aka StL Jan 4, 2009 11:29 AM

Someone threw their cookies with the ranking.
