Although, because of some bad examples, the the term newbie has been used for bad people in general, a newbie means a player that is new to the game and hasn't socialized with the community yet.

I think we (more experienced players) have every right to call new players newbies, it happend to us, and now we are being called 'oldies!'

Newbie is just a term for a new person.. what's so bad about it? It isn't a degrading term.. although it is often used like it.
