Wow, I like the yellow fade-out on the textured background. Is that just the secondary color of the background (ex: white is the secondary of a blue background).

PurpleJazz Nov 25, 2006 10:42 AM

No.

White Rabbit Nov 26, 2006 06:36 AM

Olsen, what tileset is that? It's like Swamps...except not!
Or did you just put a translucent tile in the foreground to make it look like a dark Jungle?

P¼ul Nov 26, 2006 07:08 AM

V check sig

Check P4ul's sig. :D

I personally love it, so extremely friendly to use. Yay!

Sacrush Nov 27, 2006 09:33 AM

That's a very nice level Olsen, you improved a lot.

bglayerwasterz r uz.

Anyway, I need tips on what color the background should be (let it stay orange or not?) and if those blue things look good or something... I dunno. Also, the level is nowhere near finished. The only thing finished is the left top corner.

Gee I like this tileset :P

Olsen -I see that you used Dreamland which was made by Gus and (birdie?), so I am happy cuz I have never seen a level made with this set!

Yeah, actually, I think it's a very easy and fun to use.

And yeah, it was made by Birdie and Gus.

Cute. =3

JanusJackrabbit Nov 28, 2006 09:43 AM

That is sexy~

Birdie Nov 28, 2006 12:02 PM

@Olsen: I would use layer 4 and 3 for the clouds and the purple grass stuff (Even though I made it doesn't know I know exactly what it is.)

Already done, Sacrush suggested that and the bricks in the clouds.

The purple cloud is on layer three and moves at 1.1 speed so it looks better when playing than in this picture. It covers the edges of the level. (except the middle bottom)

EDIT: There's also a third layer of clouds (layer 5).

I like it. I want to test it when it's done. Yay!

Birdie Nov 28, 2006 02:58 PM

@PJ, Maybe consider making a real tileset instead of a palette edit with a few extra tiles?

PurpleJazz Dec 1, 2006 02:50 PM

Nice tileset. I think I'll review that later.

Olsen Dec 2, 2006 05:18 PM

As a sideproject alongside my pack "Tuned In", I'm creating a single player level.

edit: ouch, I had to stand in a spot so you >really< see the tilebug. bleh..

Blackraptor Dec 2, 2006 06:06 PM

heh @ the tilebug coincidence

I like how you keep using lots slopes instead of just having the ground be flat and boring in that level, and nice looking wall EC.

Well, after playing several flat level's I realised hard how boring those are, if done incorrectly. ;)

I've had the pleasure to play in that level, and I have to say, it's awesome.

It just occured to me...Jazz is coloured like in JJ1. :O Cool palette.

Birdie Dec 3, 2006 08:20 AM

Haha, never noticed that before.

Birdie Dec 3, 2006 09:18 AM

It's obviously a biased review pj7...

Blackraptor Dec 3, 2006 10:21 AM

It's only one review, so the rating is bound to be lowered sooner or later ;P.

PurpleJazz Dec 3, 2006 11:17 AM

I got him to reduce the rating to 8.5 :p

I'm working on Wind Meister: The Complete Epic.

It includes Wind Meisters 1-5, all in their most up-to-date form. Wind Meisters 1 and 2 include new tests and extras; all the previously released Wind Meisters include new eye candy and cool visual effects. Stay tuned.
