Although I have no pictures available currently, I am currently planning/working on a remake of one of the most famous bad levels of all time.

Bobo Meets Royalty

Violet CLM Dec 3, 2006 04:16 PM

Zappo Egypt!

White Rabbit Dec 4, 2006 01:17 AM

Phew, I had to browse through 20 pages filled with levels rated N/A before I could get to the 1.0s. ;)

Funny that Zappo Egypt and Voldard's cool Treasure Jungle are right next to each other. It could be any one of them.

I'm doing Re-entry, which is just about ready for release...sunday, eh?

Olsen Dec 6, 2006 08:26 AM

This is the first level of my single player pack, the forest level shown earlier is level 4 atm.

Very nice! Eyecandy looks great!

How many levels are gonna be in the SP pack?

Olsen Dec 6, 2006 09:23 AM

Around 20-25 I think, because there's a little something special to it I wont unreveal, yet.

edit: not saying many levels is special ;)

Ragnarok! Dec 6, 2006 11:09 AM

I still see at least two tilebugs. =[

Olsen Dec 6, 2006 11:17 AM

Heh, I haven't reuploaded any pictures ;P
But the tilebugs are fixed in the level, ofcourse.

n00b Dec 6, 2006 11:47 AM

In Olsen's latest pics, I really don't like the far-off-in-the-bg walls. They do look nice, but they blend to well with the closer walls
I'm sure this probably won't matter when playing the level because of parallax scrolling, but it doesn't lend itself well to screenshots.

Other than that, the level looks great.

Olsen Dec 6, 2006 11:52 AM

Hmm, well, since there's a shortage of layers (yay) those aren't actually scrolling atm, they're in layer 5 with 1 x speed 1 y speed. (So it's like layer 4, but behind, I think you know what I mean.)

Thanks for liking it though. :D

Janus: Looks good. Looked great on the college library computer where everything is darker than on this monitor, but still. An excellent tileset.

Can i get some comments?

SPAZ18 Dec 7, 2006 06:25 AM

This is Level 1 of a Christmas pack I am working on. It will have 5 levels including 2 Bonus Levels. That means my other packs are on hold. I am gonna try to release this in time for Christmas.

Comments & suggestions welcome. :)

iSnooze: Cool level! Could probably use some more eyecandy but I guess this is just an early shot of it.

PurpleJazz Dec 7, 2006 10:31 AM

Hardly any eyecandy. And those straight blocks look boring; make them more interesting.

JanusJackrabbit Dec 7, 2006 10:31 AM

@Snooze. That's a really odd use of Tarzan's Treetops xD It'll be nice to play when it's finished.

@Spaz. The level could use some eyecandy IN the ground tiles (the green/black ground tile seems repetitive). Just throw in some platforms in layer 3. That should work. It could use a lot more enemies and goodies to keep the player busy.

n00b Dec 7, 2006 11:56 AM

And by that, Janus does not mean place a goody on every open tile or make a long line of enemies.

Any better?

There are Gems and Cherries at that point as well. They are not there coz I collected 'em.

Camou Dec 7, 2006 12:33 PM

Platforms a little repetitive. Make different lengths :P I think you should also not make long lines of places for players. Like more open and more ways to go to the end of the level. Not just the straight liney levels.

Ðx Dec 7, 2006 12:59 PM

Indeed, think of something original. Something new.

snzspeed Dec 7, 2006 01:24 PM

better now?

Olsen Dec 7, 2006 01:36 PM

As much as I hate the usability of Tarzan's Treetops, that looks interesting.

For some reason, my attempt at being original and new by using the Background as Layer 4 and Layer 4 as the background didn't exactly work out DX:

Good job, PJ.

SPAZ18 Dec 10, 2006 05:39 AM

This is a screenshot of one of the Bonus Levels in my Christmas pack. I know eyecandy sucks but I'm still working on it.

Inspired by Fearofdark's JJ1 episodes, eh?

SPAZ18 Dec 10, 2006 05:46 AM

Yep, I got the idea from one of FOD's episodes.
