Haha, awesome, Nick.

cooba May 25, 2005 07:44 AM

1325-1370 and 1971-1998 are the gunless Jazz/Spaz sprites, so check if you like.

ThunderPX May 25, 2005 08:28 AM

Meh, I can't get it to work on TSF with Controller, and I lost my CD :\

May 25, 2005 09:01 AM

That Tweedle dance ROCKS BOTTOM!

Theres actually some pretty cool music in there, and the animation is funny too...

ill try this out soon...

Olsen May 25, 2005 10:19 AM

Awesome. Found some really cool stuff, and BTW, if you want that Jazz loop animation i have a level where you get to see it. MSN me if you want it.

Murderbeam May 25, 2005 11:18 AM

DanYjel May 25, 2005 11:22 AM

okay and now... how to get it to work? it just shows some strange animation tile of jazz...

Oh, so that's why gems sometimes get completely messed up. Cool.

Five minutes of using it, and I already love this program to death. Yet to make any sightings of anything unusual not mentioned in this thread yet.

Violet CLM May 25, 2005 05:14 PM

If you try to view a sprite which gets manually rotated, like falling poles or CTF arrows, you get results like this. :)

Odin May 25, 2005 05:28 PM

I just made that "Chris is a Redneq" into an avatar.

Go ahead, use it.

Radium May 25, 2005 05:31 PM

Should we start to make a list of what the different numbers are, or is Pyromanus going to spontaneously release some awesome program that exports them all as gifs?

At this rate, he'll have to. This is kinda like the Pierson's Puppeters selling the secret to their General Products hulls after it was discovered that the core of the galaxy started exploding. Except kinda not.

Sonyk May 25, 2005 05:39 PM

Either way works, personally, I'd like a list.

2105 looks funny, although i dont know what it is

minmay May 26, 2005 06:09 AM

2105? That's the seeker gun explosion.

Already explained that to Snooze...

DanYjel May 26, 2005 11:08 AM

816-825 - OMIGOD this is great. Epic apparentely wanted PrinceOfPersish JJ2, cause this looks like... just look!

Puffie40 May 26, 2005 10:54 PM

:O When I was playing jj2 after a bout of playing CK4, I wished jazz could grab & hang on to the edges. I did not know Jazz had animations for that!

:D :D

You know, this is showing jazz is missing a lot of features of what it COULD have been! imagine jazz climbing ladders, holding onto ledges, shooting in angles, and better AI's for the enemys, and this would be a dream come true! That's why I felt a intense saddness when the "1.25" april fools joke was revealed.

Hmm... at a guess, it would have been slow paced.

ShadeJackrabbit May 27, 2005 11:38 AM

It could be fast place if it worked like "Abuse." You use the mouse to aim and shoot while you use the keyboard to move around.

Hareoic May 27, 2005 04:30 PM

You know, now that we've found all the sprites and things, how about implementing them into JJ2 so that they actually work?

Then there'd be somebody who'd make a program that creates custom enemies or something like that and then we'd all be saving different JCF.ini files into different directories in order to keep them from being overwritten unless some specially designed program implemented them as different filenames directly into the existing fJCS.ini file.

I'm sorry, I'm rambling. I just have too many farfetched ideas.

Or is that just crazy talk?

Give me some time......

Puffie40 May 27, 2005 08:04 PM

Yay. 8D

ShadeJackrabbit May 28, 2005 08:13 AM

This is almost like a Jazz 2 revolution. Did I say almost? I meant "IS."

Baggers May 28, 2005 08:22 AM

Id second that ! its awesome.

Hareoic May 28, 2005 04:35 PM

And then you'd compile your images into different files for different animations, you could set transitions from one animation to another, set attack patterns, movement patterns, sound effects that are triggered by specific frames, and other stuff. But who says it needs to be specifically for bosses? It could be for practically any event! THIS WILL BE OUR SALVATION!
*hyperventilates*

n00b May 28, 2005 05:26 PM

YES! Finally, Jazz 2 will live up to it's original discription:
"Enemies with advanced AI who mount startegic attacks, and escape from fire"
Or something along those lines.

Puffie40 May 28, 2005 09:51 PM

ONE STEP CLOSER TO 1.25!!!!

Wee! If we can get our hackers going, we can redesign JJ2! And that WOULD be amazing!

piet May 29, 2005 05:52 AM

we do need the source code for new playable charactars right?

Baggers May 29, 2005 07:03 AM

Id have thought so...

ShadeJackrabbit May 29, 2005 03:24 PM

Yes that is true, the source would be needed. And it would not be as easy putting things in. Yet it might work. (Don't say I'm contradicting myself.)

piet May 29, 2005 09:36 PM

but if we replace a model it would work? like replacing lori with razz

ShadeJackrabbit May 30, 2005 03:45 AM

It would work, if you replaced models. I think. You just wouldn't be able to make a character with double jump and superjump or something.

n00b May 30, 2005 08:25 AM

Meh, which is too bad. I mean, Razz is an inventor, he should have something that allows him to jump higher(like jump boots or something).

Erik Jun 7, 2005 08:02 AM

piet, it is possible to edit the files without having the source. it's called disassembling.

but having the source is of course easier.
