Something like an old mine, or an aztec temple.

Jerrythabest May 20, 2006 05:25 AM

hmm nice idea: make old mine transport things like railroad tracks, lifts, belts with diamonds moving on them (GEMS.) which you can all use for 'automatic movement' (sucker tubes over the railroad track, float up in lifts, belt events on belts) =) how sad I suck at drawing

Old mine theme sounds fantastic, in my opinion. :)

Grassless. Basicly used Faws and added crap.

No offense, but man, does that look bad. It's too sponge-like.

I like Cheese's ground, it's just a bit brightly colored.

n00b May 20, 2006 07:22 AM

None of the yellows match the pale yellow in the comic.
Make the yellow paler.

Jerrythabest May 20, 2006 07:50 AM

let's make it pink and purple =D

I like yellow+blue and green+orange best, but I don't really care if it remains yellow green:P

NeonPSY May 20, 2006 09:04 AM

I think a bunch of people should make ground tiles...then we vote on the best?

I think not, that's a crowd.

Dear Diary,
I have noticed why so many people have left the JCF in such a short time.

Yes it does.
Thats like saying "We're making a Pokemon Tileset" and the whole tileset is just composed of two girls having sex.

There is a tileset like that?

Anyways,

We'd better vote then. Unless anyone plans on making a different set of ground tiles?

n00b May 20, 2006 01:51 PM

Let's wait one more day for any more ground tiles, and then commence the voting

Yes, actually. I'm not joking.

I like P4ul's tiles best so far... ;)

Violet CLM May 21, 2006 09:58 AM

Couldn't resist.

I'd use them. Besides, if we add more original material, it won't look so much like Labrat. But, I really don't care what type of ground we use. As long as it looks good.

n00b May 21, 2006 04:42 PM

I have to admit, Labrat's ground tiles are proving to be most versitle. I've noticed they are also akin to Muckamuk's ground tiles a bit.

CrimiClown May 22, 2006 09:26 AM

Ah well... I vote for the Labrat tiles! \o/ Let's make something awesome, shall we?

NeonPSY May 23, 2006 01:49 PM

Uh, I chose you Labratchu.

Violet CLM May 23, 2006 02:17 PM

o.O

Anyway, just a note, the JJ1 manual has a lot of pictures of some unknown planet in the background, with blue grass and green fire and various stuff. I would suggest that that be taken as the same planet as the rats', and thus incorporated.

n00b May 23, 2006 02:32 PM

The only Blue-and-Green planet can be seen from the rat planet itself.

Doubble Dutch May 24, 2006 10:30 PM

Yes, its near a black hole and the light gets bent round. If you go there in a spaceship you end up seeing the back of your own head.

=o Really?

n00b May 26, 2006 10:31 AM

So we're working with the Labrat edit, correct?

NeonPSY May 26, 2006 07:15 PM

Si.

cooba May 31, 2006 11:56 AM

Due to circumstances beyond my control (it was supposed to last 2 days, not a whole month....), the deadline is extended onto July 31st, 2006. So there will be actually two months to go rather than just one.

Also, you may want to actually start working, people.

Okay, let's do this.

CrimiClown Jun 7, 2006 06:19 AM

Guys... :( Could we, like, start? :(

Jerrythabest Jun 7, 2006 11:37 AM

yeah, would be awesome. however, I don't really use the labrat tileset and thus I don't think I will ever use this.. ;) but of course I'm not the only one around here...

also, I wonder what was oftopic in my post .. the topic at that point was a *special* tileset and I posted about that

anyways, I think LMAT's are going to fail from now on..maybe some people need to get some nice inspiration and in a year it's time for another one

For YOU, maybe, although the real 'topic' is the creation of tiles. Anyway, since nobody seems to care enough for this tileset to be actually contributing (if someone IS actually working on tiles, I don't mean to offend you), I'll whip up something next week...

n00b Jun 7, 2006 12:09 PM

Not the best update, but I'm working on Mine sceneary currently, and we despertly need something to keep the ball rolling

Risp_old Jun 7, 2006 03:47 PM

Personally, I think the theme is holding this LMAT back. The theme is a place with green-topped-by-yellow ground that is full of mice. It is not enough to make a tileset of.

I would help, but there's no way I could match the drawing style of official tiles. Not even close.

You're also forgetting the Greek Mining shafts that may or may not have Aztec-esque ruins.

Risp_old Jun 7, 2006 04:31 PM

True, with imagination there is room for improvement.
We really need some non-labrat ground, though. I just tried matching that style. I failed. And since I doubt any of us can really get close to it, the main tiles of the tileset will go through the entire LMAT looking out of place.

Jerrythabest Jun 8, 2006 06:37 AM

right now it's just a 28-tile tileset, so whatever is added, it improves the tileset IMO.
