Yes, but people are suggesting levels which should be in. It would be a different story if they would complain about levels.

Rather, if team B wants to play a level that isn't included in the mappool, team A can protest (and don't have to agree to play that level), while if the level is in the mappool... the other team's protests will be ignored.
That is the main reason why people want what they want to be in the mappool... So the other team will have to agree to play them.

Almost. Imagine that you were playing a battle duel tournament, and the roast:fall were important. Your opponent picks battle3, which happened to be in the mappool. You don't move on to the next round :D!

That's why, so you won't be forced to play levels that are designed badly.

Quickz Jan 23, 2008 08:58 AM

Well, some person who wants to stay anonymous (at least for now) made some team-predictions, which you can find at the page of the tournament, so have fun ;D !

Unhit Jan 23, 2008 12:25 PM

nice ANONYMOUS team preview. i can already feel the atmosphere getting more tense (seriously) :D can't wait for our first tournament game, i'll have time after this weekend and i hope fs will too :)

this made me laugh. i think i know who wrote it.

anyway yeah, i'm with unhit here. can't wait!! :D

although i must admit, the "predictions" weren't really great.. these weren't even predictions, more like previews like unhit said.. i mean, not even referring to the situation in each group at all, etc.. but yeah.. nice job.

Quickz Jan 23, 2008 02:38 PM

Okay, DanYjel pulled out, Yumoma replaces him as Majorek's partner.

master sven Jan 23, 2008 11:52 PM

Tell me if someone else pulls out.

That's my point. *If* they agree to play something else, which they don't have to.

It's your opinion, whatever levels you're referring to with this, but it's entirely different in battle, not to mention duels. Keep that in mind.

@ QZ's last post: Meh, the only czech is out :(
But cool if Yum's going to play :)

Stop acting like you didn't understand, or otherwise stop having an opinion without understanding:rolleyes:

The same thing does apply. Imagine say... "server always wins" being in the mappool - wouldn't you be pissed if your low-skill opponents picked it and therefore knocked you out?

This discussion wasn't about specific levels, it was about why people care about what levels are in the mappool.

If you could refuse to play a level that was in the mappool, then noone would give a damn about what levels were in it, but there is such a rule, forcing you to play in bad levels (if such were present in the mappool).

Edit: By so stupidly arguing with me, you disrespect experience, and you raise doubts whether you will longly survive in the community, as you so stubbornly refuse to conform with the standards and values that have been found worthwhile in the past. Be ever judicious!

If teams can change, maybe the people who needs a partner (and a place) can still sign in a "need a partner" zone so others can know who to ask in case someone leaves their team.

edit:

Update the page ( http://www.jazz2online.com/tourneys/...n2tourney.html )

Oh, then I didn't get what, exactly, you were talking about.
There hasn't been one moment when I'd have thought different about the levels in the mappool, though. Don't think I'm that stupid of summat.

Haha :D :+ "Edit of the year" if u ask me...

Oh and just because you like QZ's mappool doesn't mean it absolutely can't be edited a notch.

Hitch Jan 25, 2008 12:07 PM

Maybe in the future, not in Round 1, will be any changes.

Quickz Jan 25, 2008 03:42 PM

Okay guys, let's drop this subject now.

Majorek Jan 26, 2008 02:57 AM

Man, edit this page and first page of topic :p

Ragnarok! Jan 26, 2008 05:27 AM

Have you even tried to play a 2v2 there? It's goddamn outrageous!

Ragnarok! Jan 26, 2008 06:10 AM

I did one a few mins ago. It's goddamn outrageous in the sense that it's hella fun.

Hitch Jan 26, 2008 09:34 AM

Haha. Whantill <33

Raven aka StL Jan 26, 2008 03:08 PM

... It cannot be underrated...

Ragnarok! Jan 26, 2008 05:19 PM

..What! I just looked at this and you can't refuse something that's in the maplist. DW, Semi, BBlair AND DISTOPIA ARE ALL IN?!. I dont mind Semi and Bblair that much but why didnt you just throw in SUK ARENA 2K4 and SILWI?

R3ptile Jan 27, 2008 04:32 AM

Haha Rag it's so obvious you haven't been here in the last two years, no one complains about classic levels anymore.

Ragnarok! Jan 27, 2008 07:36 AM

I wouldn't call them classic, but then again, everyone else likes them. =P.

Majorek Jan 27, 2008 10:40 PM

Where teams are writting their results?

Raven aka StL Jan 28, 2008 12:16 AM

... The other 2v2iT thread.

why hasn't this reached the front page yet? :(

Raven aka StL Feb 15, 2008 05:37 PM

Because you just bumped it from around 18 days back...

Hitch Feb 15, 2008 07:15 PM

GG. Back on topic now, whatever that was, xD.

Grytolle Feb 17, 2008 05:59 AM

Why, then, do some (just as unimportant) news not have to go via Rabbit journal?

Unhit Feb 17, 2008 06:12 AM

I agree with Gry. No offence to your great Valentine's Day pic, but this here is a major JJ2-event...so..

Stijn Feb 17, 2008 06:26 AM

Well I don't know anything about this tournament and I don't really feel like spending time on finding out what it is all about, and by the looks of it the other admins neither do

Grytolle Feb 17, 2008 07:14 AM

Well cooba knows everything about it, considering previous pages!!! What's up with that cooba?:(
