Wuts up with the ??? team from ze Czech Republic?

Superjazz Feb 15, 2008 08:06 AM

Well, WCB vs iR-t has been played.

Sdgs vs WCB

Round 1

iR-T [0:5] WCB (Atom Heart 243.5 of WCB)

Round 2

iR-T [3:5] WCB (Happy Semiconductor CTF of iR-T)

Overall

iR-T [3:10] WCB

Round 1

We quite knew iR-T was basically good everywhere. We however expected this level to fit ourselves best this time. It was a fairly quick game with one or two succeeded rushes from us.

Round 2

I perhaps played a bit scrappily on Snooze's side this time, but somehow we managed to even lead 2-0 in the begin, then they really decided to pwn us off, roasting us both around the same moment. It became 3-3 as far as I can remember, and we were the lucky ones to steal the cake for now. Overall this round was really even and intense fight.

10-3 in total to WCB

yeah :P it was a nice game and it didnt really lag that much.

Sasik Feb 15, 2008 01:14 PM

BRB played one round against RHSP.

BRB vs RHPS 2-5 (Semi, RHSP's choice).

Well, DS hosted. It lagged terribly for me. Especially I couldn't hit anyone nor see my opponents coz of the clones. However, I should have already get used to this in jj2 so nvm ;| GG except for the attack of the clones ;p

We will play next round tomorrow :)

Euh, lol. Okay, fine :P thanks!

Quickz Feb 16, 2008 09:13 AM

Okay, well, each bracket has 5 active teams now. If a team leaves (I don't hope so, but IF) they won't be replaced anymore, or at least, I won't search for any new teams.

Progress:
Red Bracket (5/10)
Yellow Bracket (1/10) + 1 unfinished match
Black Bracket (1/10) + 2 unfinished matches
Blue Bracket (2/10)

Which means 9 of 40 matches have been played, so I guess the tourney is progressing 'quite well'. Another thing: the K.O.-stage is online now. The no. 1's were placed randomly, with the no. 3 in their half and the no. 2 in the other one.

Raven aka StL Feb 17, 2008 10:40 AM

Sucer seems to have random problems with jj2, so I don't know what'll happen with NAOSB...
Matters not for now.

Vegito Feb 17, 2008 01:23 PM

<33 Vs. GP

Round 1 - BBlair (<33's choice. Veg host)
5-2 to <33

Round 2 - Rainbow Hills (GP's choice. Sweet host)
5-0 to <33.

G_G

Raven aka StL Feb 18, 2008 05:20 AM

It's funny to give some rope in the match where you choose the level and have the host, showoff. Typical, nvm.

Vegito Feb 18, 2008 09:17 AM

Huh?

Grytolle Feb 18, 2008 11:22 AM

I liked Emperor better when he sometimes maked sense but always was wrong... Now he doesn't make sense at all.

Speeza Feb 18, 2008 02:39 PM

Theres a problem I was already to play slayer. And then his sister (hotty) came online. He needs to stop playing around and acturlly duel.

Grytolle Feb 18, 2008 03:29 PM

This is no duel tournament, so what do you mean?

You would do well to stop throwing these childish comments all the time.

Round 2: AYB (hosted by emp)

5-2 for WCB

i think it was a nice game eventough i forgot to score once ;p

Superjazz Feb 19, 2008 03:43 AM

Exciting game, uh and more even than it might look. 10-4 in overall anyway.

We'll meet in the finals/semi NAOSB, don't we?

Raven aka StL Feb 19, 2008 05:07 AM

That depends on can we manage to combine our playstyles better.

Also... (You might feel like calling it excuses...) but this was just about the worst thinkable time (for me) to play this (no doubt hardest match of the division for us).
Of course, I should take care to be in relatively good shape in a tournament when the deadline of the matches isn't that far away...

Well this time I was in very bad shape, although I played very well just 4 days ago.
I also noticed (for like the 20th time) that mine and Sucer's ways of playing make a bad combination. I'm not a 'super offensive player' like Sucer seems to be, so I kinda drag him down considering the team strategy that forms around his gameplay. He is also a dynamic player (win or lose styled) and isn't that conservative, so when we get roasted even somewhat simultaneously, it's an easy score for the opponent.

SJ and Snooze are a very good team and can maintain consistency in their good play sometimes for unnatural periods.
In this game, especially, I noticed that they both played very offensively and yet managed to leave the cracks in their defenses very small.

When I compare both teams from each standpoint that comes to mind, I can quite safely say that 4-10 (2-5 and 2-5) wasn't that bad of us.
Although Sucer dominated our team's rather lengthy scoreboard with his 'mega offensive', an equal portion of our defensive measures became my responsibility.

Nevertheless, it's still true that the better (and pretty much only actual...) team won this one. We might've lost a battle, but not the war (as far as I'm concerned).

Sucer Feb 19, 2008 08:10 AM

I know I might do wrong to comment on this one, but I don't agree with you. I wonder what those defensive measures were, as 80% of the points the enemy scored were coused because I died and you were not r. Of course I failed to be r a few times too, but you just can't say that you took care of the defensive stuff more than I did, because it is too obvious that you didn't. Just look at the chatlogs.
Anyways we all have our bad days and it's not a competition of one player so you shouldn't feel worried to find an excuse how you were as useful as I was. It's a teamgame and our team lost. No need to pick on any individuals.

Raven aka StL Feb 19, 2008 05:28 PM

You don't have to try my patience in every turn.
Agree or disagree, it's irrelevant.

Also, it was you who kept dying with bad timing and sometimes even randomly, while I was struggling to be R at the right time, while trying to kill the flag carrier, who you kept killing away from our base so they just kept recapturing.
But enough about that, it's in the past now.

Don't think you're perfect.

Of course I'm not. Have I ever said I was perfect? No! For example Superjazz is a far better teamplayer than I am. All I'm saying is that if I play better than you, you don't have to start making a bunch of reasons why it is so. I happened to make all of our scores and keykill half of them myself, so what! You don't have to come here babbling about some defensive stuff which you apparently "took care of" (so well actually that we lost 10-4 gg). Sometimes a player playes better than you! Please just accept it and stop making excuses.

Robee Feb 20, 2008 04:09 AM

iR-T 8-9 NAOSB

iR-T's level: Happysemiconductor CTF
Result: 5-3 to NAOSB
Comment: I think that we played good but they were better.

NAOSB's level: Bloodbunny's lair
Result: 5-4 to iR-T
Comment We were leading 4-2, I could score for 5-2, but I got airhit or someone stomped my lagclone idk. Anyway GG! ;)

What he said.

Raven aka StL Feb 20, 2008 04:54 AM

Yeah, that's how it went.

Sucer Feb 20, 2008 06:33 AM

How many teams continue from these beginning divisions again?

Superjazz Feb 20, 2008 07:19 AM

Quote:

The best 3 teams of each bracket will qualify for the knockout-stage.
So 12 in total.

Quickz Feb 20, 2008 07:41 AM

Yes, what Superjazz said. Also, check this and the 88th post in this thread.

Nonomu198 Feb 20, 2008 08:29 AM

The "Tournament teams preview" is dead.

Sucer Feb 20, 2008 10:34 AM

Lolz:P Me and Emp make a good team:) I'm sure we'll get to the knockout stage.

Raven aka StL Feb 20, 2008 04:18 PM

We'd make a good team if we could fuse together our (impossible to fuse together) playing styles. Either I have to train (like hell) to play the berserk, maximum attack style, or you have to play more defensively and a lot less offensively.

But I'm afraid that a more defensive style of playing will give room to the opponents to take control over the level which might prove very dangerous especially againts strong opponents:) Just train like hell XD

Red Bracket

Girl Power (Ana/Sweet) vs. UK-Team (Ragnarok/PurpleJazz)

This was the first match of the Britains, while it was already the 3rd of the girls. The girls picked semi, while the guys picked JE.

Round 1: Happy Semiconductor CTF (host: Ragnarok)
5-4 Girl Power

Round 2: Jungle's Edge (host: Sweet)
5-1 Girl Power

Overall score:
10-5 Girl Power

Superjazz Feb 23, 2008 01:54 PM

Update statistics plz ;D

Raven aka StL Feb 23, 2008 05:43 PM

Ana keeps improving. :)
Sweet is an awesome team player, though. ;)

Superjazz Feb 24, 2008 01:28 AM

Surprising result.

Looking at the yellow and black brackets, most teams haven't yet played even a single match. I hope this isn't a sign of forgetfulness, since they are going to have to hurry with their match-ups. They soon notice they got less than a week to finish all their matches.

Perhaps 'flexible deadlines' will this time give them a little more of chance, but I'm still not sure if every team wakes up to play.

Grytolle Feb 24, 2008 04:41 AM

We've played half a game!

Hitch Feb 24, 2008 03:25 PM

Red Bracket

OEDOTWHAB (Hitch/Birdie) vs. Girl Power (Ana/Sweet)

Round 1: Ice Cream Island (Host: Hitch)
5-1 OEDOTWHAB

Alright so this was the first round between me and Birdie vs. Ana and Sweet. It started off really slow then we start to get the groove. At about 4-0 we thought we where going to blow out, but they scored, and we got bad timing. Really bad timing. Although that happened the last point was rushed. GG.

Round 2: Jungle's Edge (Host: Sweet)
5-1 Girl Power

Okay, Sweet hosted this game in Jungle's Edge. We started off good with 1-0. Then we started to have some bad timing. And certain points in time I was R, on top of the flag, but when Birdie would lose the flag, they would seem to score before I could capture (Sweet in this case) most likely server advantage, but who knows. After that, we had a few 3hk's and I started to see lag clones. When we finished the game, it was 5-1, as well as 1-2 scores from a 3hk I had. Me, Qz, Sweet, and Birdie looked over the logs very well, and there seemed to be some prof of me having a 3hk but it wasn't official. Perhaps if we stopped the game to fix the scores, there might of been a fairer score (4-1 and play tell 5) but whatever. Overall, this game was very close even though the score doesn't show. BAD GAME Good game. ;)

Overall score:
6-6 DRAW!
