SteelTalon, you do know that you don't have to write in an object-oriented programming language to make a game...??

C is a structure programming language and it works more than fine for making a game like Jazz2.

Why dont you just send one request, but send an email MORE every day arjan doesnt give the source code.

After about a month ****go insane and give it...!!!

Why, yes I did Everlasting. But it kind of helps in finding out what the source was when you've read about it before. =P

It is in C++/Assembler, that's what all the developers have said they used since the start. I was just pointing out it'd be much easier...

Newspaz Jun 7, 2001 09:56 PM

I agree with Everlasting, I think it's wrote in C :P

Funner the fun! Coding an entire object-oriented game in a non-object oriented language. :P

(petition won't help I think.)

I'm a pretty open person so I didn't lie about that and how would I prosper anyway?

Fear Jun 8, 2001 05:17 AM

Im still in for the mailbomb, anyone got an idea how to?

Roaster Jun 12, 2001 08:45 PM

No, it's written in C++

Kaz Jun 12, 2001 09:44 PM

lol, Jazz 2 could have been run on ZSNES!

Derby Jun 12, 2001 09:48 PM

I'm pretty sure it's written in C++, and some of the controls at the time were only supported by the revamped language to avoid complications. They seemed to have jumped the language gap completely to the most flexible language available, which can only be a good thing.

Wild: Actually, I did have and play JJ2 in 1998 (I had a 50 MHZ computer at the time. I would get 7-10 FPS on single player, 3-4 on multiplayer.) I don't remember an Arjan playing JJ2 at the time, though. I only started playing more the next year when I got a new computer. Nevertheless, I only remembered Arjan making a 1.23 patch and nothing else. Jeh was probably the most active on the highest end of the community, which wasn't very active at all after the official release.
