I'm currently making ... 4 levels! :D 2 of them are like 99,9% finished. Then I also have one which still needs more eyecandy and then last but not least : my almost-finished level for Rep's contest! (all of them are CTF) Eh....just to let you know.

Birdie Apr 16, 2007 04:27 PM

I've played in a level using the rayman set, and I would like to say that the set is awesome.

SPAZ18 Apr 17, 2007 12:34 AM

I did have a Megaman level once, made for 1.23, but after I accidentally opened it in the TSF version of JCS it wouldn't work on 1.23. Go figure!
I spent about 1-2 weeks on this level.
Here's a screenshot I took months ago before I screwed it up:

This level was part of a 4 level pack called Mega Jackrabbit I was making about 6 months ago.

TripleJ Apr 19, 2007 03:55 AM

My battle pack is ready and i need testers.

White Rabbit Apr 19, 2007 05:47 AM

Here are screenshots of my battle level for Purplejazz's contest. It is loosely based on a Tomb Raider level, 'Temple of Karnak', and of course inspired by all the temple levels of Tomb Rabbit. If you're familiar with Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, you may notice the Great Hypostyle Halls and the Sacred Lake I put into the level. It is not based on the real life Karnak temple complex.

Temple of Karnak is finished, but needs betatesting before I either upload it, or send it to Purplejazz.

That looks really nice White Rabbit. I can be a tester.

White Rabbit Apr 19, 2007 07:47 AM

I'm hosting a public betatest right now. Join if you feel like it.

EDIT: In case you want to join, the server is now down.

Fawriel Apr 19, 2007 10:08 AM

I suppose it's a battle level?
I never really played battles, but... I think that during such a fast-paced game, the layout of the level should be clearer. It's hard to make out quickly where you can go, what you can stand on and stuff like that...

White Rabbit Apr 19, 2007 10:27 AM

Some parts of the level plays a bit like a singleplayer level, but I hope people won't have any trouble, and it was intentional to that sort of feel to it, as both Tomb Raider and Tomb Rabbit were great single player adventures that I and many other people enjoyed. My betatesters didn't report any large navigational issues either.

I've also tried to be consistent in the masking of tiles, so if one type of tile is solid, then they all are, unlike sometimes in Tomb Rabbit (with the exception of the obelisk in the middle of the Sacred Lake). I wasn't as inventive in the tile usage as Kejero was, I'm afraid. :p

For those of you who don't know what this is, it is an AN level made by me and Birdie. (Thx to DS for hosting)

Just a few comments on each of the pics:

1. The start room where you choose whether you are a solider or the leader. The crates are inside "Allen's Groceries" :P

2. Coins have been tripled by the use of MCEs.

3. BIRDIE CAN'T MOVE!

4. PJ has been out for a long drink.

Nice screenshots. I have seen the level already when I hosted it in my server, but still they're good ;P

Probably doesn't look very special to you guys, but this is a shot from a five-level battle pack I'm making. Haven't done much eyecandy yet, still working on fine-tuning the layout.

P¼ul Apr 25, 2007 10:19 AM

hmmm you put too many diamonds D=

ThunderPX Apr 25, 2007 11:25 AM

Haha, I noticed that myself at some point. You'd say "waaaaaaay too many diamonds" if you saw the bottom part of the level. =P

DarkSonic Apr 26, 2007 12:43 PM

Here are some screenshots of my level for Purplejazz' contest.

Yes, the Seek PU is in a dead end.

The Bouncer PU.. it's in the top left.

The RF PU.. it's in a wall, waiting to be shot.

An eye candy effect.. not the only one in this level.

Malni Apr 27, 2007 06:45 AM

This is the new level I am working on. It's built with Agama's Egypt-tileset, which -i have to say that here- is absolutely awesome ;)
The eyecandy isn't finally yet on these screens.
I thought about placing a hoverboard in the level, but i don't know if that's really a good idea.
All in all, I think the level is finished to 60%

White Rabbit Apr 27, 2007 10:03 AM

Good luck with that level. To this day, Egypt is still difficult for me to use. It's probably Agama's least flexible tilesets.

P¼ul Apr 27, 2007 10:14 AM

it looks very simple and linear
(but i know it's unfinished :P)

FireSworD Apr 27, 2007 11:13 AM

Use the complex eyecandy method, add little rooms and try to make the level look more organic.

Nice.

And, uh, yeah, Purplejazz has all the rights to publish that Carrotus Fix Diamondus Night version he made. Thought I'd clear it up if anyone would ever wonder about it.

And stuff.

DarkSonic Apr 29, 2007 02:34 AM

I'd like some comments about my screenshots as well ;(

Anyway, that level is going to be uploaded really soon, as the contest ends in two days and I can't be too late ;P

Floating Crystals, Lizards on helicopter thingies throwing bombs at rabbits???

This level is called Crystal Caves, BTW. I'm using the underused Crysilis tileset. I know it's missing the flashing arrows and some bits aren't masked correctly but it's the only Crysilis set available right now.
There will be 2 levels. One is the level you can see right now, and the other is going to be a Bonus level.

I know there isn't many items there right now. That's because I'm currently doing the Level layout.

ThunderPX May 4, 2007 06:02 AM

Uh... yeah, I think most of us would recognise Crysilis.
