I'm no longer contributing anything worthwhile to this tileset.

Here's my addition:
[IMG]http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/1909/tileset7ah.png[/IMG]
Adds:
-Uncorked Bottles
-Edited versions of my tiles
-Water is now blue, (not purple) with 2 more frames
-Bones in sand
-Gulls and crows
-Worst transitional tile EVER for rocks to sand

That's abut it. Now let's get cracking!

n00b Sep 26, 2005 12:52 PM

Great you ruined my purple ground. It's NOT water. It's purple ground inspired from the JJ2 Press FIre screen

ShadeJackrabbit Sep 26, 2005 12:55 PM

Ground? Oops. It looked like water to me. Besides, we don't really need ANOTHER ground version do we? I like the water better, but we can add back in the ground if people want...

n00b Sep 26, 2005 12:57 PM

I'd rather have my tiles be used in their correct format. Change it back.

CrimiClown Sep 26, 2005 01:13 PM

Aack! Keep it nice, fellas... Ask POLITELY before changing someone elses edits... And, ask politely if ZAPPER would change them back PLEASE. ;)

Risp_old Sep 26, 2005 01:29 PM

I've finally brought myself to do some stuff.

[IMG]http://www.chaos.foxmage.com/laggoonofmystery.png[/IMG]
I made some of Zapper's tiles less pixellated and such. I got tired after a while, though, and the chest will be a pain to do. Also, next time you decide to make recolored hocus pocus tiles, base them on my less pixellated versions and not the other ones. I really don't have time to re-recolor all those tiles to use the less pixelated versions, so you do it for yourself.

Also, I really don't like your clouds. A while ago I made some cloud sprites for a game I was working on. I authorize you to use them as you see fit.
[IMG]http://www.chaos.foxmage.com/clouds.bmp[/IMG]

EDIT- Argh, something broke my image tags.
EDIT- Oh. I see

Radium Sep 26, 2005 02:30 PM

Unless someone's willing to make slopes, ends, and transition tiles for that blue stuff Noob drew, I think we should keep it as water.

ShadeJackrabbit Sep 26, 2005 02:38 PM

I am very sorry for changing your tiles nOOb. I guess they can be removed... yet I won't be the one doing so. Next, I like the clouds, chest and Hocus tiles the way they are. So you don't have to pour sweat and blood into making them less pixelated. (Not that you would go as far as to kill yourself.) And thanks Radium for the water support.

EDIT: And anybody is free to change my clouds to Risp's with his permission.

Risp_old Sep 26, 2005 02:45 PM

I personally think the chest is much too pixellated to fit in.
Plus, isn't it strange how SOME of the hocus pocus key/keyblock tiles are pixelated and others aren't now?

FQuist Sep 26, 2005 04:46 PM

And why are huge amounts of hocus pocus things being added?

I'll make ends and slopes, but someone else would have to make the transitions.

What's with the white lines around my Jill Jackrabbit (Wow that's a cool name)

ShadeJackrabbit Sep 27, 2005 01:56 PM

Odd.... Oh well, easily removed.

FQuist Sep 27, 2005 02:52 PM

This is not an edit! Do not use

Ok, I really do not have any free time at the moment.. I hope that may change the coming days but it may not. If I get free time, I'll work on this proposal. That's not today or tomorrow though (and tomorrow is the 29th, the second to last day..) It's just a way of making the tileset have *something* and have the tileset work, by combining the two different tile types, while not requiring huge amounts of work, it's mostly doing a nice cut & paste job (that means *nice*, fire_byrd, not just rotating the tile or something)..

I am not going to be able to work on this now, this is just a 3-min show-the-idea edit in some time I should be working, so if you think it's a good proposal, do something with it. These are, as you should be able to guess, ground tiles. The green stuff would make up the rest of the ground (a cop-out, I know)

CrimiClown Sep 28, 2005 12:22 AM

w00t for FQuist!

FQuist Sep 28, 2005 07:13 AM

A problem of course would be that these are 3D tiles, while the green tiles themselves are 2D.

Fawriel Sep 28, 2005 08:44 AM

...is LMAT stuff "open-source"?
This has turned out so horrible that the only way to still get something out of it, especially my goddarn sand >O seems to be that someone who actually cares ( and has skills D= ) goes on working on it a little when they have time.... after the deadline.

FQuist Sep 28, 2005 08:49 AM

You could finish your sand.

Fawriel Sep 28, 2005 09:04 AM

Isn't it finished?
You can build all kinds of structures with it.. *shrugs*

Violet CLM Sep 28, 2005 10:01 AM

The borders need to change color a little more... right now it just looks like the yellow stops being drawn at some random point. And more contrast.

fire_byrd08 Sep 28, 2005 11:45 AM

I think the yellow does look better

Also the un-pixelated tiles look GREAT!

I wouldn't be against the idea, even if it meant a bunch of people would release their own versions of the same tileset. At least people will be uploading new tilesets more often, and users can choose which version they like the best.

ShadeJackrabbit Sep 28, 2005 04:27 PM

True. And I will work on H-Poles and stuff on last day.

fire_byrd08 Sep 29, 2005 02:25 PM

I do agree that the other clouds look better.
Also the chest really doesn't fit and neither do the skulls and bones.
What is that tile in the bottom right?

The chest, is a pirate chest. You could put it in the underwater caves or under water as a sunken treasure. The bones are of pirates. (I thought this all up after watching Pirates of the Carribean for about the 5th time. So blame disney.)

A transistion tile that looks like it is made by Spaz (Jackrabbit).

Radium Sep 29, 2005 04:22 PM

What is it with pirates hiding huge boxes of gold in underwater caves and subsequently dying next to it, anyway? It seems like a depressing life cycle.

End Tiles for Purple Ground:
[img]http://www.maj.com/gallery/Lijik/Letsmakeatileset/September/ends.png[/img]
Slopes coming up served with a hot bun!
EDIT: Slopes, purposely shodduly done.
[img]http://www.maj.com/gallery/Lijik/Letsmakeatileset/September/slopes.png[/img]

And an incomplete tile that would never be used anyways!
SPECIAL DVD BONUS! WITH DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY!
This Sand Creature has the colors of the Pirate version(but there were no ship tiles made so the Pirate parts never got done) The final Pirate version was going to have a Pirate hat on with a little hook sticking out of the hat.

Violet CLM Sep 30, 2005 11:27 PM

Well, uh, September is done. I honestly don't care what you do with this thing. Keep working on it if you want. :lori:

ShadeJackrabbit Oct 1, 2005 06:51 AM

Since some people can't let go of their ground tiles, I am not working on any more stuff cause i'd have to make a third set of my stuff.

Jerrythabest Oct 1, 2005 08:57 AM

May I remind you to watch your date? I think its the 1st of October, but I might (not) be wrong.. lol:lori::lori::lori:YAY!

ShadeJackrabbit Oct 1, 2005 09:44 AM
