If you were using the right software it could automatically create a grid for you.

ShadeJackrabbit Nov 6, 2006 06:07 PM

What software can do that? (I honestly don't know.)

minmay Nov 6, 2006 07:20 PM

It's called a grid tool.

PurpleJazz Nov 6, 2006 11:02 PM

And you can use it in Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.

Jerrythabest Nov 7, 2006 02:25 AM

and in the Gimp, right?

zapS Nov 11, 2006 12:10 PM

ok! here it is!

i was done for quite a long time ago but i couldn't upload it until now.

Violet CLM Nov 11, 2006 12:18 PM

Hmm... I think the purple gradient edges could be improved. They're too regular, they need more imperfections to give the impression of being made of some rocky substance.

Dude, don't upload a bitmap, that is evil for those with a slower connection. Upload a PNG.

ShadeJackrabbit Nov 12, 2006 07:15 AM

Nevermind about the Grid. I can get it from DTR. (Disguise's Tileset Resource.) Tileset looks... odd. But if it used in the right way...

PurpleJazz Nov 12, 2006 12:26 PM

Looking good.

I can make a textured background.

I think the pillar should be darker... right now it doesn't fit in with the rest imo...

Jerrythabest Nov 13, 2006 10:40 AM

better make a second one, which is darker, so that the JCSer can choose if the pillar must be very bright or that it must be a bit in the background, that it doesnt jump right out of your screen

Stijn Nov 13, 2006 10:44 AM

The obelisk's perspective just looks weird to me, don't really know why.

ThunderPX Nov 13, 2006 11:22 AM

It doesn't 'end' in the same perspective at the bottom as the top. In other words, it isn't right, but I guess the user is expected to make it drop off the bottom of the level.

The obelisk is drawn to end in the black rock/cloud stuff.

sorry!
just thought it could be useful to see which colors are used and how many more colors we can add.
feel free to remove it.

Still, a palette in a tileset being worked on isn't too much of a harm, is it? :)

Suppose so.

zapS Jan 2, 2007 12:07 PM

why doesn't anyone do something to this tileset?

Jerrythabest Jan 2, 2007 01:30 PM

because we are either lazy, do not care or are contented with the tileset as it is

PurpleJazz Jan 2, 2007 02:11 PM

I'd like to help.

Jerrythabest Jan 3, 2007 08:53 AM

no, you should wait until it's done and then make a + version of it :P

Saphir Jan 27, 2007 01:08 PM

Bump.
I could try making some tiles here but not if I'm the only one interested.

Jerrythabest Jan 28, 2007 12:03 PM

I'll make something ;) I really wonder what it's going to be

so you are not the only one interested ;) go ahead =D

cooba Jan 28, 2007 01:49 PM

Or, how about starting a new LMAT?

PurpleJazz Jan 28, 2007 01:55 PM

Sounds like a good idea.

Saphir Jan 28, 2007 11:13 PM

Well yea, but it's a shame to abandon all these neat tiles :(

cooba Jan 29, 2007 07:03 AM

I assume you could finish this one, too.

Starting now.

Jerrythabest Jan 29, 2007 09:39 AM

sign up to the LMAL project too :p its being dead now ;(:O

That grass is from Diamondus Beta BTW.

Credits go to Pyro. =D

Brilliant Purplespaz, now instead of working on additions to the ground such as diagonals we must waste precious time making it tile

PurpleJazz Jan 30, 2007 09:26 AM

I've just tested it, and it does tile!

Jerrythabest Jan 30, 2007 09:29 AM

after all these months I think time isnt an issue anymore, so just waste time if you want :P

If you looked closely, it doesn't. There's a stroke of black that doesn't tile... Look.

And here is the fixed one:

Purplejazz actually. Ignore my Avatar. I was going to be called Purplespaz but someone else that that nick-name on J2O already. And Purplejazz sounds cooler. ;D

Just because my nick-name has "Jazz" in it, I don't nessacarily have to play as Jazz. ;-)

PurpleJazz Jan 30, 2007 09:57 AM

Added some diagonals.
