Blackraptor Feb 8, 2012 12:41 PM

Done. I will check out your JJ1 pack, Blacky, and I'll find something else of yours to do, Rag (lol, I think I've reviewed like five of your uploads in the last couple weeks).

Thanks!

Blackraptor Feb 8, 2012 01:01 PM

kk thanks, keep in mind there's some noticeable differences between difficulty modes. I'll review your latest request (Death Star) unless you want me to choose something different :)

Ragnarok! Feb 9, 2012 04:55 PM

Also if you can help me get my JJ1 working again on Windows 7 then I'd gladly review for ya too. ;>

Blackraptor Feb 9, 2012 09:12 PM

Sure thing raggy, kinda interested in seeing your reaction to the sprites i ripped from MS actually lol

Dosbox is a great tool to use for retro games like that, though it looks like someone's beaten me to it :P

(also lol @ whoever boosted my rep because it was at 69 hah)

PT32 Feb 13, 2012 04:52 PM

@Raggy, Blacky:

My reviews on both of your levels are done.

P.S. - (to Rag) I also deleted a couple of really lousy and inept reviews I wrote on your levels. Sorry to waste your time with that junk. :(

Blackraptor Feb 19, 2012 12:42 AM

Finished yours, been busy and it took a while to find people to play it with but hope the detailed review should make up for it. :P

Also posting this for future reference if anyone wants to do an exchange, hit me up. I don't write reviews anymore ever except if someone wants to do a trade, and I'll really probably only have time to write one up over a weekend sometime (don't expect it right away) but I guarantee i'll do it eventually if I agree to the exchange. So just ask me and if you want a review and I'll suggest something of mine in exchange (PM me if you want a quicker response or something).

(hits Blackraptor)

You've just been hit up. If you've got the time to review this for me, I'll gladly do one of your uploads for you.

Cold Flash

Thanks!

Peace, y'all.

Hi i came across this thread. um not much of a reviewer but im still on my way to learn, just as im trying to learn jcsing as well. I made a map "carrotus_lake" but it seems people arent even taking an interest to check it out. If u want i could review ur lvl, i do like SP lvls, it is too bad they arent played much.If u could review my map in return i'd be rather thankfull. Anyways just let me know.

Blackraptor Mar 2, 2012 08:26 PM

@ pt32: rebounding that with http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads...for-the-vodka/. I'll get yours done this weekend cuz its a standalone SP and wont take me long to play & criticize :P. I'll check out the updated version of your death star map too but I dunno if anyone will be on when I have time to play this.

@king487 I'll check yours out too. Can you review this in exchange? (I wanna see how many reviews I can rack up). Also, your megaupload link for the music was nerfed by the feds

king487 Mar 4, 2012 01:32 AM

Kay its done, il try to do something about the music

You know, your level IS up for the "Anniversary Bash" this year, so somebody obviously thinks it's good. :O

In any case, I can certainly review it for you, if you'll do mine. I was going to review Carrotus Lake anyway, so it's no trouble for me.

Just as long as the Death Star re-review's relatively timely (what with the aforementioned Bash and all), I don't mind too much. Also, thanks for your review on Cold Flash, and I'll download your requested level and play/criticize it posthaste! :)

AA needs more reviews :(

I've already reviewed AA (lol, probably rated it a bit too high, but hey, nobody's perfect).

However, if you'll review my Cold Flash level for me, I'll gladly pick something else of yours to review. ;-)

king487 Mar 5, 2012 02:12 PM

Kay il try to review cold flash then

PT32 Mar 5, 2012 04:50 PM

@Blacky, Jake:

Because I don't play Jazz 2 on J2O. I play it on a private Local Area Network.

That, and the fact that I played the last couple of levels by myself, since I was in a hurry.

cooba Mar 6, 2012 03:54 PM

That's not really how Multiplayer levels are intended to be reviewed.

PT32 Mar 7, 2012 11:52 AM

Can't argue with you there. I'll make sure to keep that in mind.

Laro24 Mar 28, 2012 08:18 AM

Can anyone review RoE episode 2? http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads...r-of-darkness/ It's up to you to decide to give full reviews, or quick reviews. ;)

If anyone did, state here and I will review one of your levels in return.

I was going to review your pack anyway, so if you'll do my Cold Flash for me, I'll gladly take care of y'all.

Laro24 Mar 28, 2012 09:49 AM

Will do. ;)

Loon Mar 31, 2012 04:22 AM

Can anyone of you review and rate Total Annihilation?
I would give a review in return.

Laro24 Apr 1, 2012 01:38 PM

RoE episode 2 http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads...r-of-darkness/ Is updated, please review and I will review back. :)

Are you a good JJ2 player??

Years ago I started making a few JJ2 levels, working on them only very infrequently. After all this time they have finally been finished though! I always found the official JJ2 levels did not pose enough of a challenge, so the levels I made are far more difficult. They are not cramped with enemies or bosses, but tactically positioning them just makes life harder. If any of you like to try:

http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads...ries-9-levels/

I do not ask for a review but I do wonder if anyone will be able to finish these levels. If you can, you should be very proud of yourself!

I should give a warning beforehand about the last level (9). Personally I never finished the last level in this series because it is extremely tough and can from time to time be buggy. Just consider level 9 a bonus.
Also, in some levels there is a "puzzle". Especially the one in level 7 will take some thinking to figure out. Possibly the best way to do it is to draw it out on paper and take some time off the computer. If any of them is really too much I'd like to know.

Then one last point: There is no overflow of ammo, coins, or other goodies. Almost all coins are required to finish the levels, they are often not for bonuses. Also, saving special bullets for later might help you, so I recommend using normal ones as often as possible.

Good luck to any who feels like giving it a try. These will probably be the hardest levels you've played so don't get upset! Cherish every life you have, although theoretically you need not get hit by anything.

minmay Jan 20, 2013 06:11 PM

EGFPE3 has a level with 128 animated tiles, a level with bleeding walls, a level with a colorblind-friendly version, a level that was made while COMPLETELY HIGH, and backgrounds made to be as eye-searing as possible for Low Detail users. And no reviews.

If you don't review it, the next episode will probably make it even easier to die.

PurpleJazz Sep 13, 2013 09:38 PM

Canyon Grove
Condemned

I'm still looking for reviews for these two levels. I don't mind whether you choose to write a quick or a full review; I'm just looking for more opinions. However, if you write a decent full review, I write either four quick reviews or one full review in return, depending on whatever you'd prefer.

Jelly Jam Nov 2, 2014 02:17 AM

Review and try to pass it plz :)

Primpy Dec 21, 2014 04:28 AM

Hope it's not taken as necroposting.

Can someone please review my level? It's the first time I make a level :)

Jelly Jam Feb 13, 2015 01:26 AM

Hey! Could someone please review my latest level?

cooba Feb 13, 2015 03:14 AM

I was going to but then I saw the description saying
Quote:

some scripted crap (no offence) will win the contest.
What the hell?

Jelly Jam Feb 13, 2015 08:47 AM

Ever since angelscript was implemented into JJ2, people were making more and more scripted levels and like 50% of the community forgot about the tradition of JCS.
I'm not saying angelscript is a bad thing, It's just that alot of people judge the level just by the quality or numbers of the scripty effects. woo!

So 50% of the community is SE. Well alrighty then.

Most levels that come out still aren't scripted, or use very simple ones. If the non-scripted entries are high quality too, they'll probably used in some later ODT.

Highly scripted levels give good first impressions because of the novelty factor, but once you play them for a while, players get a better idea of how good the level actually is. It doesn't automatically make a level better.

SAMI Feb 13, 2015 09:59 AM

To me angle script sucks. Not because its bad, but its programmic language and complicated way to implement functions just give me a headache. Its too hard to use [Incase of me only. I don't know how hard it seems to others].
