Click on the page to toggle bedween the two versions of the background ;p then you can compare easier ;p :p

Could you fix the javascript so it works in more than just Firefox? Nothing happens in Internet Explorer or Opera.

Jerrythabest May 27, 2007 01:30 PM

I have no idea why it doesn't work in those browsers... There appear no errors or warnings in the javascript debug window, and those happen to appear really easily, even for scripts that turn out to be working completely fine, so just use FF.

Rediscover the web. Again.

Valco Jun 16, 2007 05:47 AM

I had some ideas, if only I was good at making tilesets... :(

zapS Jun 22, 2007 02:08 PM

you can at least try to do something :)

Like, whoa, an update!

Changes: The background fence thing now tiles right, two new types of goop, four more signs, some unsmashed lockers, a couple more animations for our friend the computer, and integrated the background and destruct blocks previously provided.

So... I think we could probably use a bit more eyecandy, such as ruined security cameras, some office chairs, and some sort of layer7 eyecandy (mountains, plains, ruined city... something)

After that a pallet and a masking and then a release!

FireSworD Oct 26, 2007 10:00 PM

Well that took a while. I'd like to ask permission on the example level? :)

cooba Oct 27, 2007 02:06 AM

I'd like to give the palette a try when the set is done. ;)

(oh and can the piston at the top be removed? :()

Stijn Oct 27, 2007 10:24 AM

I like the "piston", it'd be useful for sliding doors in for example Assault or Single Player levels I suppose.

Ricerind Oct 27, 2007 02:27 PM

The piston is nice. Also, the textured background rocks!

Jerrythabest Oct 28, 2007 01:47 AM

you forgot the rest of the tiles. They rock ;p

FireSworD Oct 28, 2007 02:35 AM

Feel free to send me the set when it's finished.

(Confirmation please)

CrimiClown Oct 28, 2007 02:57 AM

Awesome

Jerrythabest Oct 28, 2007 05:56 AM

Just download it from J2O, FS

cooba Oct 28, 2007 05:59 AM

He should download the tileset from J2O to make an example level for it?

Jerrythabest Oct 28, 2007 09:48 AM

Oh yeah... okay just send it to him lol

Jerrythabest Nov 22, 2007 07:40 AM

Ain't that a little bit too many tiles for a single one-tile wide chimney? Don't say it's just because it doesn't tile otherwise.

zapS Dec 29, 2007 08:06 AM

those chimneys look good. btw, do you remember the animated tiles by blurred on the first page. I think we should include them in the set.

Raven aka StL Dec 29, 2007 08:06 PM

I want to beta-test that set too, please thanks.

Looks so friggen awesome.

Jerrythabest Dec 30, 2007 10:53 AM

It's almost 2008. Ain't it time to finish a tileset of August 2006?

zapS Mar 24, 2008 10:34 AM

come on everybody! :!
shouldn't we finish this set soon?
what is left to do before it is ready?

Raven aka StL Mar 24, 2008 12:06 PM

I'd say it's already good enough, just go ahead and release it. ;P

Quickz Mar 24, 2008 04:16 PM

Well, I agree with Emp, it looks amazing, still, it would be pity to just waste the space that's left. Please, someone, come up with an idea!

Idea: add torches for the background or burning fire-tiles.. some light-effects would be nice.

EvilMike Mar 24, 2008 06:00 PM

Needs more eyecandy stuff to go along with the lockers and computers. Officey things would work well. Stuff like filing cabinets, desks, tables, cubicle walls, bulletin boards, doors, water coolers, office plants (dead of course), etc. That would make the tileset good enough to consider complete.

Nonomu198 Mar 25, 2008 05:25 AM

Add some background.
and a metal flower

Bboy Type7 Mar 25, 2008 01:11 PM

tileset looks awesome. I got no critiques but to say it looks perfect. Love the metallic tiles in this, it fits the scenery well. nice job on it. Keep up the good work, man.

Jerrythabest Mar 25, 2008 01:49 PM

It's such a dark shady tileset without any peace... we need to add a big green field of grass 'n flowers with nice woods in the background and a lake and small windmill and a waterfall and a bright, clear sky with some very thin lightblue clouds <3

And of course a huge volcano to burn it all to hell.

zapS Mar 26, 2008 08:27 AM

Exactly what I was thinking about! :p
Can you do that for tomorrow? ;)

Jerrythabest Mar 26, 2008 02:25 PM

DONE:D

zapS Sep 6, 2008 05:22 AM

I think we should make a todo-list?
That way it will be much easier to see what's left to be done and perhaps someone will actually do something (including myself ;)).

Troglobite May 3, 2009 07:07 PM

Was this ever actually published, by the way?

EvilMike May 3, 2009 07:16 PM

No, unfortunately. And with a couple of additions, it's good enough to be uploaded too.

zapS Jun 6, 2009 10:49 AM

Added the chimneys and the animation.
I also drew som new stuff :D

CrimiClown Jun 6, 2009 11:43 AM

Wow, good job!

PurpleJazz Jul 2, 2009 02:59 AM

Rather generic mountains draw pretty quickly, although this set kinda needed more background scenery so I made these.

EDIT: Added the mountains into the set, and fixed up the transparent colour. (It was not #5700CB) Will probably add some Layer 4 tiles later.

cooba Jul 2, 2009 03:04 AM

Now THOSE are mountains. Large and imposing, nothing like the tame Psych/Diamondus hills :D

Neat job.

EvilMike Jul 2, 2009 10:56 AM

I propose this gets released in august! 3 year anniversary!

cooba Jul 2, 2009 01:03 PM

new tile order is new

Unfinished and messy, to be cleaned up later, but here's the general idea:

EvilMike Jul 2, 2009 01:47 PM

I think one last thing that could be added to this is lights, in the style of what can be done with top secret 3. It would go well with the style I think, and would be easy to draw (just have a solid white tile, and 8 angled white tiles). Hardest part would be making the actual light source tile. I think the tileset is still a little bit lacking in eyecandy, but having something like this would be simple and allow for some rather interesting visual designs.

FireSworD Jul 2, 2009 02:19 PM

I still want to make the example level, just a reminder.
