I guess that's quite the enthusiasm killer.
I couldn't manage that in two months working on it non-stop.

Well, Snooze made a whole episode in 2 weeks. But he didn't have gigantic levels like the one from DoubleGJ. He had a few 'pretty big' levels though.

Anyway, my new level is about 75% done now. It took me about 1,5 week so far, but that's because I also played other games and I have tests this week. And I usually put a lot of eye candy in. I'm not easily satisfied. I already have plans for the other levels of my pack. But I don't think I'll have enough inspiration for making 8 levels. But you never know.

Raven aka StL Jan 14, 2009 11:49 AM

Give it more time and care and you'll get results.
... Phbt, who am I to give lectures...

Same. Even with having my level (which I kinda forgot about) completely mapped out it took a good month to get it all into the JCS, and theres really not a lot going on in the layout. I think all of my walls are just one repeated tile that I intended to make look good later.

Camou Jan 16, 2009 02:59 PM

This thing is old like hell. Was surprised someone kept this for 2 years in their cache folder. x3 Will prob finish it soon.

Nice use of translucency.

DarkSonic Jan 17, 2009 05:12 AM

ShockSheep! =D

Camou Jan 18, 2009 07:48 AM

Different colour, other spot. Cba with the eyecandy. The level is 125 x 79 (I think :P) and has 2 pu's (no seekpu) and 2 +1 carrots.

FawFul Jan 18, 2009 10:02 AM

cooba Jan 18, 2009 10:14 AM

CrimiClown Jan 18, 2009 10:27 AM

Noka released 5 Letni tilesets with diff colours, so just picked another colour xD It's the same level.

Edit: Here it is.

Getting back into JCS after a hiatus of about a year. First I finished a multiplayer level called 'The Belfry' I started making in December 2007. It was almost done, but I had to add just a few bits and pieces. It's a quite big level made with the castle night tileset. Its size and relatively large amounts of weapons and power-ups make it more suited for 4 or more players. It still looks a bit amateuristic but I think it's quite fun to play.

Then I started making a smaller level, called Fondle in the Jungle (yes, I know...), another multiplayer level, this time with a Jungle Night tileset. It looks quite well and it's a lot more professional and polished than my previous efforts. I finished it today after working quite intensively on it for a couple of days. It's a level with two sides, which are connected only by two pipes (like, the hollow three thingies), making every trip to 'the other side' quite risky. I like the concept and I think it worked out quite well.

Now I'm working on a third multiplayer level, just to complete some sort of multiplayer ring to play with my friends. It's a small level made with the labrat tileset (mainly so I can screw around with the tubes a bit), and it's supposed to become symmetric. I've only just started, so I don't know exactly how it'll turn out.

Sounds fun, but screenshots might provide more information for us. :)

Cooba: Now that is creatively distructive. I like.

Crimiclown: Keep it up.

Camou: Nice tileset choice and use.

DoubleGJ Jan 19, 2009 05:16 AM

Hehe, Crimi. Those fumes look like a map, but really not much like Europe at all. Yet, fun. :D

That's because it is in TEN YEARS, after a GLOBAL WARMING disaster. O_O

CrimiClown wins this page.

Seeing as everyone here likes the Borealis palette the most, I'll assume that it's because it's the lightest -- would anyone mind if I'd edit the other palettes to be just as light?

And that's a lot of C's FS :p

Yes, I personally find them all too dark. Borealis only provides the best contract between the normally solid and normally unmasked tiles, yet I still often find it hard to recognise the paths myself. I believe it would be optimal if all the background and layer 5 tiles would be made darker (or stay the same, if already dark enough) and the masked tiles (mostly the metallic ones) get a slight gamma-boost.

Yeah.

I don't think the sets really need to be lighter, I find that darker sets are more appealing anyway.

CrimiClown Jan 20, 2009 05:16 AM

And here's a screen on TITLED Trije (three), on which DS and I are working again:

Hammer Jan 20, 2009 06:33 AM

Global Warming?

Oh no, not here too.
That is total nonsense...

DarkSonic Jan 20, 2009 09:36 AM

Crimi: that is very scary how make u it
it's very good i give it an 10

No, but seriously, great eye candy and the background is awesome (not because I made it) =D

Ragnarok! Jan 21, 2009 03:21 PM

No offense, but I'm an American. Whaddui care about europe?
How is it global warming if only Europe is affected?
:(

Troglobite Jan 21, 2009 08:00 PM

Global Warming would effect every country.

That said, A State of Fear by Michael Chrichton is my favorite book, and throughout the whole story environmentalists and global warming are completely bashed.

CrimiClown Jan 22, 2009 01:29 AM

...obviously, it is not a map of the whole world. It's a map of Europe. Therefore, only Europe is addressed, because saying "The world in ten years?" would be kind of stupid when only showing a map of Europe. Capiche?

The level is done, by the way. After testing, expect it in a download section near you!

This is a screenshot of the 2nd level in Impressions A. After finishing the first level, Industrial Intersect, I'm using CrysilisV1 for the next level. This is the 3rd time I use the tileset (or actually the 4th) because I've used 2 and 3 before and I'm making a level with Crimi that uses 3 again.

CrimiClown Jan 24, 2009 04:58 AM

looking good, as always, DS.

Now for my next trick, I need a CTF level with pits and high buildings!

Jozsi NN Jan 28, 2009 01:06 AM

Alliance is very good, but i don't know what i need to do on Time Forest.

This globar warming tileset and levels looks intresting.

I almost done my SP pack 1st episode. I need to do 2 tileset, 4 story level, test with lory all level. Play in 2 different difficulty level (normal and multypalyer was tested)
And finally when i done everything, i upload it on my webpage, and start translate texts and the story english, so it again 2 new tileset and 4 story level but worth to wait because it will be brilliant i think.

few weeks and I make a trailer.

Hitch Jan 30, 2009 01:42 PM

Still making a few minor adjustments. Overall it's complete.

FawFul Jan 31, 2009 12:51 AM

it looks nice!.. but, there are many letni levels already...

Raven aka StL Jan 31, 2009 06:02 AM

Looks ok, but seems hella confusing.

And vines aren't that damn great rly.

Hitch Jan 31, 2009 08:23 AM

Imo without the vines neither Jazz or Spaz could get up without Rf Climbing.

Raven aka StL Jan 31, 2009 01:55 PM

There are still easy methods that render vines pointless without significantly affecting the level.
