Superjazz Nov 27, 2005 01:25 AM

White Rabbit Nov 27, 2005 02:38 AM

R3ptile Nov 27, 2005 04:14 AM

As I promised, there are some comments!

Round 1: R3ptile vs. CelL - 2 - 5 Security Breach v2

My choice. I prefered to pick a map I know well since I just couldn't take risks anymore. Both Cell and I were quite sure I'm gonna win this round easily since SBv2 is one of his most hated levels. I probably underestimated him badly, and when I finally started to play as I'm used to, it was already too late.

Round 2: R3ptile vs. CelL - 5 - 3 Zaitox Station 67

After my loss in SBv2 I already thought I have no chance at all and Cell is gonna wh00p my (-), especially since it's been a while since I duelled here, and the fact he played with Jazz gave him a huge advantage as well as he could reach the other base way faster than me. I actually managed him like 20 times in a row but he kept capturing the flag and also pulled off a 3-1 lead. At last I found a way to reach the base fast enough and won the match. I'm still quite shocked to be honest. O_O;;.

Round 3: R3ptile vs. CelL - 5 - 3 BloodBunny's Lair

Honestly, this time I was already much more confident as BBLAIR is one my better levels and I already beat Cell here not a long time ago, though I tried not to underestimate him as it made me lose the first round. Although I think I won quite easily, Cell did much better than I expected. Nothing else to add.

Conclusion

Well, this was one of the toughest duels I've had, and I've also learnt a lesson - never underestimate your opponent. Now I should get my revenge on the defending champion, FS, in order to qualify to the WB final and face Vegito. The two last tourney's finalists are gonna face each other!
/..~*~* !!CLASH OF THE TITANS - PREPARE YOURSELVES!! *~*~..\

And Urbs, Skull is just as active as me.

[GpW]Urbs Nov 27, 2005 04:52 AM

Well ya, but what I wanted to say is, he would never be in the losers bracket a year ago...

Vegito Nov 27, 2005 05:21 AM

SkulL had some bad luck against blacky, and by that, I mean a lot.
I took revange xD

R3ptile Nov 27, 2005 06:12 AM

Besides, Skull and I were and still are fully equally skilled, though we might be a bit better than each other in some levels.

Grytolle Nov 27, 2005 07:50 AM

Nah.

R3ptile Nov 27, 2005 07:54 AM

Right, I'm better :p

Grytolle Nov 27, 2005 09:07 AM

Yah.

Sacrush Nov 27, 2005 11:22 AM

I just had a match againt DeDe, And I lost. :)

Level: Jungle's Edge

Round 1: I had a very fast first kill and made 0-1 but then I sucked and lost 5-1 which was pretty bad for me.

Round 2: Again I made the first point but Then DeDe scored twice, I killed him but wasnt able to score because a spring bounced me away from the base which made DeDe to grap the flag just before I could score, Then he/she had 2 point again which made it 4-1 for him but luckaly I still could manage to roast him and added another point to my final score, Just after I scored my second point DeDe grapped the flag and then it was a race to the base, And I lost that race which made him to score and ended whith 5-2 for DeDe, this was quite a good round but I did made some mistakes

OVERALL: 10-3 for DeDe and I have to duel more to get better. :)

Grytolle Nov 27, 2005 11:45 AM

Gj, DeDe! :)

FireSworD Nov 27, 2005 12:50 PM

Hurry up with the LB guys. :)

R3ptile is rather difficult to find...It may not be until this weekend when we will actually duel.

Vegito Nov 27, 2005 02:00 PM

SkulL yet again is über slow. ;_;
the other duel will be played at monday.
oh well, we'll see about the rest =)

DarkSonic Nov 27, 2005 02:01 PM

Thanks for the positive comments :)

And yes, I'll train some more when I can do that. Since I'm busy alot, I can't play every time D=
But that duel in JE was very evil at the end, when Chiyu sat on a place to shoot with Seekers(that I didn't have) and the most stupid thing is that I didn't saw it ;(
The BBLair duel started terrible. Although in most duels I start quite good and the end is worse, this time it was the opposite. Because I was 4 points behind I noticed I didn't want to lose 5-0, that should have been terrible because I haven't lost so badly in BBLair for ages. So after the first point I was glad I didn't lose 5-0 =P

After the duel we wanted to do a fun duel in QQ, but never did one. When we were planning to do the duel he had to go play AOE3, and after that I haven't seen/asked him.

But after all I guess I can't do anything about the fact that I lost and that I'm out of the tournament, since FS is better and Chiyu should be better too(maybe if I picked QQ before BBLair I could have won there.)

R3ptile Nov 28, 2005 05:59 AM

By the way, I must admit Vegito has done much better than I expected.

Grytolle Nov 28, 2005 06:19 AM

Nah, I expected it.

snzspeed Nov 28, 2005 07:34 AM

In defense, though, I doubt anyone has indeed cared.

Superjazz Nov 28, 2005 10:08 AM

Cough cough ehem ehem tsk tsk, I do care...Coopa and R3b. 8D

White Rabbit Nov 28, 2005 11:53 AM

I also care...but perhaps not in the same way as SJ. :O

Thanks 8D
I share that opinion though =P I'm not a well known duelist at all. =P
(I have never been this "good" in duels either. ;-\ oh well)

Some other edit..
erm, SkulL left the tournament. Reason: not in the mood for jj2 these months.. =\

Grytolle Nov 29, 2005 01:50 AM

Yeah, we could tell from his own thread, veg. ;p

Vegito Nov 29, 2005 06:00 AM

whoops, didnt notice ;P

Blackraptor Nov 29, 2005 04:31 PM

Blackraptor vs ElfPudding (omg ;o)

Jungle's Edge (Elf's pick)
Score: 5 - 1 (my favour)
Host: FireSworD
Comments: That 1 loss of point i had was a 3hk; I didn't really care anyways because RFs do that. I almost prevented it too, I was less than a second away from the base and recapturing. Anyways, GG.

Security Breach v2 (My pick)
Score: 5 - 1 (my favour)
Host: FireSworD
Comments: I tried to win this duel within 2 minutes (and almost succeeded ;P) so I was being reckless and sometimes battling with 1h. The duel went by really quick nonetheless.

Despite having Winamp on for both the duels, I didn't get any lag at all (and since both of us were american/canadian, there was no need for a euro host either).

Vegito Nov 30, 2005 12:22 AM

cool, FireSword seems to be able to host. =P

Grytolle Nov 30, 2005 03:53 AM

Interesting conclusion.

Vegito Nov 30, 2005 04:26 AM

other conclusion:

Elf did try it =) cool :-P and she did score some points too :-)
well, time to train her a bit again :-)

Yasco Nov 30, 2005 07:44 AM

I've just beated Sperry. It were two VERY hard rounds for me!At one moment , I even thought I was goin to lose! So you did great , Sper!
Round1 : Battle3(my choice) - 5-4 for me
Round2 : Jungle's Edge(her choice) - 5-4 for me

GG , Sper , I enjoyed our duels!

White Rabbit Nov 30, 2005 07:50 AM

Aw..I missed all the action. :( I was going to host, but Sperry mysteriously disappeared, and Yasco never told me what happened afterwards.

Yasco Nov 30, 2005 08:14 AM

Sorry ,my dear! Her connection "disappeared" or something >O

Vegito Nov 30, 2005 08:50 AM

And, I was the host. ;P
it was G_G
those duels didn't take all that long btw. :o

Nielsje Nov 30, 2005 09:20 AM

Nice, the duels finally proceed as wished. If there's anyone wondering what happened to CuteNews: it's currently down a bit, I'll try to get it back up in the weekend.

[GpW]Urbs Nov 30, 2005 11:03 AM

OMG URBS VS YASCO.
urbs=teh dead
Why can't I get some1 easier?

Vegito Nov 30, 2005 11:47 AM

It's just the way it goes... :-P
