Geez... If you don't have any input, just don't post instead of polluting other's topics.

(The links are ordered by rating, naab)

Violet CLM Sep 16, 2004 09:59 AM

It might be helpful if the rating was actually given... and is there really any point to listing two different conversions of the same tileset if one is better than the other?

Tubz Sep 16, 2004 06:38 PM

EDIT: Since he fixed his mistakes, I'll just remove these links then

Although, I have to say something. Thanks a lot for making this topic, you saved me a load of work. Maybe I will finally continue that unfinished project of mine "Unofficial Jazz Jackrabbit 3," I guess I have everything I need, I'll have to check. Well this is awesome. My very grateful thanks goes out to Noka, Cell, Violet, Newspaz, LRK, & JSZ Jazz. For all their hard work, even if I didn't download a specific artist that I named version, he still tried his best.

Violet one thing, how about adding a text sign to the Sluggion tileset?

Sorry, Flash, I liked Cooba's list better, it was more concise and clear, and had everything I needed or better stuff than the others, and...well....Violet...I don't care or go by rating. I go by what looks the best and has the best and most useful and cool stuff.

Violet CLM Sep 16, 2004 07:02 PM

Text sign to Slugion... hmmm.... probably not unless I redo the tileset as a whole, no.

Stijn Sep 16, 2004 10:59 PM

Those are in the list Tublear. I do not really understand you, Cooba simply copied my list and only left the ones with the highest rating (the ones at the top of my list) in.
And Violet, I listed them for the sake of completeness ;)

I might add the ratings later.

Muckamok, is not in the list! It is in your post in the other topic. Technoir is wrong in both yours and Cooba's list, and basically I suppose he copied your link.

The link to the Battleships and stuff pack from Cell or Violet or whoever, is also wrong. And so that is why I posted those links. Can I get a lay-up? I really need to stop stealing all my friends' quotes.

YAY YOU ARE VERY CLEVER, ADULT MAN! B)

Saphir Oct 5, 2004 09:43 AM

Blah. This is a really useful link...
It's just I've got all these tilesets. I'm missing good tilesets of these:
Fanolint
Deckstar
(megairbase-I've got a fairly good one there. It just doesn't look really like it)
Turtemple
Holidayus (I've got lots of sets there, but...)
Bloxonius

these are listed in no real order. And also, I am not trying to say that those who converted these tilesets are bad at it. I'm just quite fussy when it comes to converions.

cooba Oct 5, 2004 10:15 AM

Holidaius Bloxonius Turtemple

We lack of good Deckstar indeed, and I remember being Fanolint somewhere on LC... AFAIK link for it in Violet's sig.

Ragnarok! Oct 5, 2004 12:12 PM

We need a good Deckstar and Fanolint

Iam Canadian Oct 5, 2004 02:55 PM

There's a Fanolint tileset, but it's very small. We need a good new one.

Thank you, updated.

cooba Oct 6, 2004 08:55 AM

Every hyperlink with -->[pack] leads to Exoticus. Whatever, you won't listen to any arguments anyway.

Stijn Oct 6, 2004 09:06 AM

No I won't. HA

Slaz Oct 7, 2004 02:22 AM

Are all Jazz1 tilesets be conversed?

cooba Oct 7, 2004 05:31 AM

Yes, but quality of some is that bad that those conversions hardly count.

DoubleGJ Oct 7, 2004 07:56 AM

Introducing...
The Suxor Conversion List!
In order from the worst to least close to good.
1. Fanolint
2. Deckstar
3. Technoir
4. Letni
5. Raneforus

BattleSpaz Oct 12, 2004 09:59 AM

-->Deckstar<--

Newspaz Oct 12, 2004 11:07 AM

I made an exact copy of the first Tube Electric level using my tileset once. Any other of these who have that?

Could turn out pretty cool if we could clone the whole bunch of them.

Violet CLM Oct 12, 2004 11:24 AM

Most example levels tend to actually be made by the authors... I think the only direct conversions (not counting JelZe's pack) are that one and Diamondus 1.
By the way, you should have done the second level, too. You would have noticed some tiles that you didn't include.

Anubis Oct 14, 2004 03:26 AM

Good that there are many JJ1 conversions. They are a part of JJ1 living in JJ2!

Yeah, you're right there. Perhaps I'll do another version of it this spring. I should also make the blue tile animations more correct.

I'm giving this a sticky. It's a good guide afterall, and maybe (just MAYBE) people will stop pumping out JJ1 conversions when they realise we have them all already. Man would that make my day! 8D

BattleSpaz Oct 18, 2004 04:55 AM

Lol we still need

---------> DECKSTAR <---------

cooba Oct 18, 2004 05:12 AM

Either do it yourself or be VERY patient. ;p

Slaz Oct 22, 2004 09:33 AM

It sucks that i can't make tilesets as good.
And by the way, Deckstar isn't my favorite, and i think that's why it may not be
conversed for now. I like tilesets like Candion and Diamondus. :)

White Rabbit Nov 30, 2004 01:19 PM

It's a nice, concise and helpful guide, Flash. :) JJ1 seems to have more variety and more planets than JJ2 so these conversions should give JJ2 the edge. :)

Tover Dec 4, 2004 11:51 AM

Ok, and I need Deckstar

I am... slowly... working on Deckstar. As in, whenever the mood takes me.

Ok. ;) Good Work!
Eh... How I can make a screenshot in jj1, and you can send a picture about Deckstar?

:lori:

You spelled Exoticus wrong, and my name, but that doesn't matter, not

Just wanted to say that for any of the peeps, who want to use that name somewhere or the other. No to correct your spelling...

Blobby Dec 12, 2004 11:41 AM

I can't wait to play JJ1 on JJ2! The thing is, I don't knwo where the disc for JJ2 is!!!

please hurry up

DONT FORGET INVISIBLE TILES!

ShadeJackrabbit Jun 1, 2005 08:25 AM

Ever hear of Wombat Game Tools? You can extract tilesets from games like Jazz 1,

Violet CLM Jun 1, 2005 01:01 PM

Yes, we know, it's been posted several times. So can J1CS. But it's a lot more complicated than just taking the original tileset image and putting it into JCS, like what was done with the conversions that come with JJ2.

Birdie Jun 3, 2005 06:46 PM

AWW you done yet?
