Future of JJ2

Well, this topic made me wonder if some community members still care about this game... if enough people vote yes, I could try and organize some public events like King of the Hill and Last Rabbit Standing once a week or so.....

BattleSpaz Dec 14, 2005 06:57 AM

I'm not gonna say anything, because i will just be ignored.

Super_Jarno Dec 14, 2005 07:10 AM

ehmm this isnt a thread from General jazz talk replace to the Future Of Jazz

R3ptile Dec 14, 2005 07:13 AM

Nah... by the way, keep in mind that in case you vote for yes, you are also willing to participate at those events...

Grytolle Dec 14, 2005 07:16 AM

Sure, this game needs some activeness again. I still love it^^

Fawriel Dec 14, 2005 07:48 AM

I can't really say anything about the game ( being unable to play and all ), but don't you guys DARE leave me alone in this forum. I LIVE HERE, darnit. >O

Couldn't you have said this before I voted? =/

I can't play JJ2, but I still voted yes.

That was due to a great lack of event and with no one really willing to have a JDC right after the previous one ended, rather than anything. Also, school began for lots of people that time.

FQuist Dec 14, 2005 08:32 AM

The double meaning of the yes vote is a bit silly..

Sucer Dec 14, 2005 08:59 AM

Check the starter. Snooze!! I know he speaks tru as he says he dislikes 80% of the jcf community people.

R3ptile Dec 14, 2005 09:05 AM

Starter? I started this thread..

FireSworD Dec 14, 2005 09:37 AM

I don't believe the community at this time has full control of wether it dies or not. New players seem to keep coming often. Everytime I join a server I almost always find someone I've never heard of before.

CrimiClown Dec 14, 2005 09:42 AM

I play online (FINALLY AGAIN!), I make levels, I'm active in the community, I got some great projects ahead... Ofcourse I voted 'no'!

...

:p

R3ptile Dec 14, 2005 12:07 PM

Only 15 players still play this game? C'mon, I know you can do better than that...

@FQ: Well, if many people who want this game to be kept alive but don't play regulary vote yes, this thread would've simply lost it's meaning.

Ðx Dec 14, 2005 12:13 PM

keep the game alive plz

Vegito Dec 14, 2005 12:18 PM

I'll still play from time to time. maybe.
I dont know. I wont be in for duels or whatsoever anymore though.
you might caught me in some neutral server sometime ;o
So, I'll help keeping the game alife, a bit. =P

Ðx Dec 14, 2005 12:19 PM

i love to play duels with quickz, also just hosting for fun with new ppl is cool :) Still i miss the ppl from 2000 like Grazzkiddy Spazzy Vera, Lisa etc..

Vegito Dec 14, 2005 12:21 PM

Which are unknown for most of us ;P

Ðx Dec 14, 2005 10:12 PM

DarkSonic Dec 23, 2005 04:56 AM

I still play this game, and I like it. But at the moment I'm playing for fun, not for duels. And to test some levels probably. Just playing in open servers.. and making levels with JCS(Yes, I returned)

R3ptile Dec 23, 2005 05:19 AM

Duels are much funner than just playing on a public server that is full of noobs, noob idlers and noob chat spammers.

Grytolle Dec 23, 2005 05:55 AM

Word

Chiyu Dec 23, 2005 07:15 AM

I voted no.. There's nothing you can do to make it active again, the game is practically dead already imo.

n00b Dec 23, 2005 07:34 AM

Count my Yes twice.

Grytolle Dec 23, 2005 07:51 AM

What we could to is give out more warez

n00b Dec 23, 2005 07:58 AM

Everyone I know at school remembers the original game(Or atleast the shareware copy), even people I never met before.
They had no idea a sequel was made. There's the solution: Handout as many copies of the shareware demo as possible.

Fawriel Dec 23, 2005 08:32 AM

Yes!

Grytolle Dec 23, 2005 09:19 AM

Yes!!! And also warez for xmas-present!!!!

UNKNOWNFILE Dec 23, 2005 09:48 AM

JJ2 is pretty much dead now, and what's left of it is being swarmed by TSF users.

Blackraptor Dec 23, 2005 10:04 AM

JJ2 tends to be rather dead around this time except for holiday servers.

n00b Dec 23, 2005 10:05 AM

I love it when people say "It's dead" but then don't give any suggestions to fix that.

It's a game not a lifeform, we can, if we weren't a bunch of negative naysayers *Looks at chiyu*, bring this game back to life.
I suggest making a bunch of 'Shareware CDs' ,which should include an install for the demo and .txt file explaining where to get the patches, to hand out to freinds, people on the street, and hide them around the mall and stores. This is using a tactic known as "Guerilla Marketing" and AFIAK works everytime it's used.

ThunderPX Dec 23, 2005 11:02 AM

I just give my friends the full version. ;)

Sonyk Dec 23, 2005 11:22 AM

I don't think we should be trying to revive JJ2, but instead just support community projects whose aim is to become better than JJ2 ever was. We get a better game and a more active community, and we wouldn't have to deal with the constant hastle of people who like to ruin our game with their lasers and such.

Without CC, JJ2 IS dead. D:
I don't need to write more, since thankfully most people also don't share your opinion.

Did you know??
Don't be harsh on newbies. Everyone was a newbie once. Even you!

Public servers are the heart and soul of the game.

Also, funnier*. Who's the noob now?

How come nobody is joining my 1.24 game when the only 1.23 game up is a pinging Battle Server? What IS wrong with TSF users? I am a TSF user. YOU are a TSF user. Almost half the community started as TSF users!

R3ptile Dec 23, 2005 11:58 AM

.. what

There's nothing wrong with public servers that are full of noobs. I just find them less challanging and boring, that's all. :o
