Jazz Y - The most EXTREEME episode yet!

Visit the Pre-Production website!

Jazz Y is a brand new episode being developed by me, and some homeless guy I found outside a Fuddruckers. In the upcoming week, we should have the storyline and character kinks worked out, and will update the website with more screenshots and information.

EDIT- I AM WORKING ON IT (-) IT. LEAVE ME ALONE, I'M NO LONGER PRETTY. AND HE LOVES YOU NOT, I could've told you I have an even number of petals!

Grytolle Feb 1, 2006 01:45 PM

This looks looks like a parody of Jazz X.

Wow you catch on quick.
Code:

Lijik - n00b- Now with five% more cheese says:
Heh, I feel like spoofing DX's pack with a "Jazz Y"
Cooba says:
hahahah
Cooba says:
do it

Violet CLM Feb 1, 2006 02:29 PM

The bottom right picture is awesome. Here you are with something that is obviously your own tileset, and you need seven tiles for a destruct scenery block.

Fawriel Feb 1, 2006 10:22 PM

So is this only a spoof or are you actually making it? D=

Ðx Feb 1, 2006 10:23 PM

Wahahaha :P

He is actually making it. He's just extremely busy at the moment, as am I.

CrimiClown Feb 2, 2006 08:47 AM

 \o/ :crimi:

Ðx Feb 2, 2006 09:54 AM

Is this trying to destroy Jazz X or something?

White Rabbit Feb 2, 2006 10:06 AM

Don't worry. It will meet its match when Jazz Z comes.

(-) you, I was going to make that.

CrimiClown Feb 2, 2006 10:22 AM

While you argue about Y and Z, I'll just continue working on Jazz Omega.

White Rabbit Feb 2, 2006 11:13 AM

It doesn't count because it's in the Greek alphabet, not the English one.

No, it's just a parody idea I had last night. It's more like a Jazz X Companion than a Jazz X Killer. Where Jazz X is serious, Jazz Y is completly.. erm, unserious.

Ðx Feb 2, 2006 12:27 PM

Wahahaha oki!

This pack is being made, later on next week(or tommorrow if I'm lucky) the website will be updated with all kinds of information, screenshots, credits, making-of featurettes, and director commentary. Ok maybe not the last two.

n00b Feb 4, 2006 07:22 PM

Currently the intro level of Jazz Y is completed. I am sacrificing working on the site, to actually get cutscenes(Yes, actual cutscenes. Animated and the works) and levels done.

UF has joined the Jazz Y labs team as Beta-Tester, Jazz X consultant, and Music Library. He will also be making a special memory-boost program exclusive to Jazz Y(if we need it) if you haven't already used his other Memory boost patch.

UNKNOWNFILE Feb 4, 2006 08:44 PM

Expect Jazz Y to contain large music files, hilarious humor and LSD trips. Sexy!

n00b Feb 5, 2006 11:36 AM

The site had a small update last night, and graphics for the major website redesign are now at 75%. Last night a few concept levels for the few in-game cutscenes were produced, and today I'll get the website graphics to 90%, and work on a concept level for the final boss of the first slew of levels(5 levels that span 12 .j2l files.).
Today I will work on a OMGTOPSECRETFEATURE as well, the feature should have an up and running concept .j2l tomorrow.

UNKNOWNFILE Feb 8, 2006 05:44 AM

BUMP!

Also, n00b's been busy with some stuff, so I will be required to help him with level design.

Speeza Feb 8, 2006 08:16 AM

Odin why did you do it 100 times.
The bear is a bit funny.

n00b Feb 8, 2006 11:48 AM

Jamster, this thread has nothing to do with odin.

Speeza Feb 8, 2006 12:29 PM

JAZZ Y looking good so far

CrimiClown Feb 8, 2006 12:52 PM

PUT CRIMICLOWN IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

No.

UNKNOWNFILE Feb 8, 2006 05:08 PM

OMG CONCEPT LEVEL

This was inspired by the "wrong movie" thing on the Monty Python and the Holy Grail DVD.

n00b Feb 9, 2006 02:24 PM

For those of you wondering, the majority of UF's concept levels are just that: concepts, and do not reflect the final product.

Pako Feb 10, 2006 10:31 AM

Woohoo!

That should explain the facts to you.

Jazz Y tech demo, featuring doors and a unworking Tweedle Boss( Due to the limitations of the Hurt event, and masking errors)

UNKNOWNFILE Feb 10, 2006 12:16 PM

Also featuring the Tweedle song from American McGee's Alice! (Note: You might need a memory expansion to play the song. There is one for 1.23 that will increase it to 50 MB, which is up for grabs here.)

Radium Feb 10, 2006 04:43 PM

Why the filehosting thing with all the popups and the freewebs site? D= It knocks your professionalness down a notch.

n00b Feb 10, 2006 04:54 PM

I'll answer your question with another question... or rather two:
A) Have you asked DX the same question?
B) When was Jazz Y ever meant to be professional?

His files are bigger, though.

Okay, you win.

Violet CLM Feb 11, 2006 02:44 AM

The masking is rather horrendous... you should get that fixed. Otherwise, it's a very original piece of work.

n00b Feb 11, 2006 12:19 PM

Tileset fixed and Level updated to use new tileset. Updated tileset does not replace old one. The website has no popups if you use Firefox (Apparently Rad isn't one with the internet yet).

UNKNOWNFILE Feb 13, 2006 09:01 AM

Bump.

n00b's been having computer issues recently, so he isn't really able to work on Jazz Y all that much.

UNKNOWNFILE HACKED N00B AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :lori:

n00b Feb 13, 2006 01:40 PM

Actually an Ice Storm disabled my internet, and then my keyboard slot died for a few hours (Presumably to dust, or a virus easily erradicated via Norton).
