Attention! Anniversary Bash 4 -- Few Hours To Go
 

As it seems like EvilMike hasn't gotten on the idea of trying to post a time schedule for the bash, or speak with Monolith about hosting (which I don't blame him for because I didn't tell him). And Bobby didn't read his email with me explaining I didn't have any time yet to talk to Monolith and that the battle pack didn't get finished in time yet due to "homework" problems.

I'm here to write down a schedule.

Friday: 21:00 GMT: CTF Madness at Anniversary server

ARG! Is whoever hosting this on a 56K? There are TSF servers which I can ping that have a ping of 7000 over, yet I can't ping the darn server! How to play if I can't connect?

If there are any 33.6kbps modems playing then...

11:05 AM GMT, the stupid canadian AB4 server at 66.183.1.176 is horribly pinging. there seem to be six people in it, though. me and other non-american people can't get in. please, let someone with a FAST and RELiABLE server host next time (and test it before) :-(

Exactly - I've left the darn thing pinging for over 5 minutes with nothing! And I can ping 7000+ Dutch servers in like 3 seconds! We need a fast server for battle, cause if I can't join I'm gonna be darn annoyed.

I wont be any good for this till I get a faster connection :(
Someone told me that ShadowJOL was getting Dsl incase that might come in use.

Aiko, this is JJ2, it's impossible to have reliable servers running.

Okay, I hosted a server entitled 'For those who can't join Bash4', and it was a big hit untill I had to go out, but I have screenies! Expect to see some good ones including us calling Alberto names, some chat, some action shots (hard to do :p) and a collage of every screenshot I took which had the words "...roasted Fquist DM" in it (quite alot, I paid attention)

Aiko, that "stupid Canadian server" that you mentioned was EvilMike's, and I had no lag problems in that server whatsoever. Perhaps you were trying to join a little late when it crashed, and you made the false assumption that it was pinging heavily. As of right now, Newspaz is hosting, and he's one of the uberleet Europeans, I guess.

Fun, my comp crashed horribly and can't be repaired right now. No attending the bash for me, anymore..

An access violation occured during a level switch. It's a rare bug, and it unluckily happened during the level switch. There was virturally no lag otherwise.

The serverlists are down bit you can still join the server at: 4.61.205.67

What happened? That means I can't take anymore '...roasted Fquist' pics, and it also means there's no Quistysoft to roast! :(

My dad pushing the powerr on button instead of me appears to have fixed the problem. :P

I took 238 screenshots, taking up 100 MB (some were .tga, some were .pcx).

What am I going to do with them? :)

Um... what time zone are you putting it in? ... it had better not be over. :p

For those of you who were complaining about the lag in my server, I am more than willing to take donations for a faster connection. It seemed fine for most people. I should be getting a better connection sometime, but I have no idea when.

As for the battle levels, I tested them before hand and found that bash15 caused an access violation always, and bash16 didn't exist according to Jazz2. So, to fix that I had to come up with a quick, cheap level that would close the loop.

What do we do with screenshots? I've got mine in my ICQ shared files folder for anyone who wants them, but I'm thinking that wil be temporary..

I'm making a collague of the 15 or so odd pics that have '...roasted Fquist' in them. :D

How long will the servers be up? *too lazy to have a look at gip for to see if they are still up* :D

You could ask Bobby or Quist to make a Bash screenshot section on J2O :D

You can send all screenshots to me and I'll host them on my wonderfully slow connection.. (however I don't have any nify comment thing set up for screen shots right now).

Don't be sad about those complainers, Monolith. *every* jj2 server experiences lag if there are 16 people playing. :D

I figured I needed to add a small screenshots page to j2o with the coolest screenshots, but didn't know I'd get so many..
I don't know how we should handle this. I can host the pictures, but if Mono wants to do that it's fine with me. I would suggest to make the people send in descriptions with the pictures at least. Or select the best.. nobody's going to view 300 pictures.. select the best ones, people. :)
