Thinking (once again!) of starting a webcomic...
 

Okay, for a while I've been considering starting a webcomic (I remembered this when Acid's thread made me have to count how many comics I'd almost started). I have two ideas, both of which I plan to do eventually, but not at once. So, I want to know which I should do first.

Pinglag the Pirate: Pinglag is a normal (ex)pirate, searching for treasure and stuff on the high seas. The only problem is that he's being hunted by the most powerful army in the world, wanted for killing the king, stealing a treasure map, and robbing a clothing store, all of which are punishable by death. Comic features action, adventure, romance, and a nine year old death mage.

Cornflake01: Carl is actually pretty stupid for a pilot/conceptual physicist. But when he gets a spaceship's crew launched into another galaxy while on a mission to the sun, it's up to him and his friend Zen to get them back to earth safely. Features lots of fighting robots and spaceships, and occasionally is a sort of parody of DBZ, Star Wars, or Voyager.


They both wear bandanas, they both captain ships, but only one will become victorious. So... go ahead and vote.

Vote for pinglag he's a cute fuzzy wuzzums. :P

Both Pinglag and Cornflake will have both human and animal characters (take that, you biased furfans).

Vote Carl because he's easier to draw.

Pinglag has a weird head and black pixels all over his face.

The 9-year-old seems to be misbalancing the vote. Even though I like PLTP's plot more, I actually like CF's characters more. Seriously, his gunner is named Chainsaw Maniac Bob.

Tell more about the plots!

They both follow rather helpless people trying to make a comeback, and doing it in a humerously wrong way. Pinglag is the only survivor of a shipwreck, and is thrown in prison for stealing a pair of pants. While escaping, he accidentally steals a treasure map and kills the king, making him the world's most wanted criminal. Luckily, he manages to put together a crew and get a ship, even if it's not a very "conventional" crew. Carl is an airline pilot (with a degree in conceptual physics) who is fired after climbing out onto a windshield of a moving plane to get the doughnut he dropped out his window. He decides to get back at his boss by becoming the first man to land on the sun. After getting funding for his voyage, he comes into possession of a ship called the "Cornflake01", only to get it lost in another galaxy.

If I told any more it would ruin them =P

I'm actually undecided. Pirates and Space storys are equally cool in my opinion...(The only difference sometimes is technology.)

I guess I'll have to get back to you on this one.

Why still not votes for CF01? Naturally, I have to campaign for the one that's losing...

Okay, I vote for the Pinglag. I don't like science-fiction, it's overused. XP

Do I have to mention both the skeleton and its gun look weird? =b

And the gun says "glue" across it.

That doesn't justify that it's 2D.

You know, Radium, I think you should just go with the comic you want to draw. It's your comic, anyways. If you want to do Cornflake01, then do it. Even though it's getting swamped 11/1. If you want to do Pinglag the pirate, than do it. It's really more your coice than ours.

It's not that I "wanted" to draw Cornflake, it's just that the characters are easier to draw. But who knows, Pinglag could be good practice =P.

I don't think (cheese) fits under clean artwork.
