How are you playing JJ2?

Window. :7

NinJazz Aug 2, 2004 02:28 AM

Full screen, of course. Hold Alt Gr and then press Enter to get cool mystical screen, in my comp, it get's best resolution.

Enigma Aug 2, 2004 02:31 AM

Window. The game looks much better in a window. And it makes it easier to semi-idle, you can still do other stuff while playing.

Doubble Dutch Aug 2, 2004 02:34 AM

Fullscreen, nothing must distract me from the JJ2 experience. Besides, I have poor eyesight.

cooba Aug 2, 2004 02:49 AM

Mostly fullscreen, although I have higher fps at window (70 ;D)

DanYjel Aug 2, 2004 02:52 AM

17'' and 640×480 is too much. So, window.

Trafton Aug 2, 2004 03:04 AM

Fullscreen for JDC events, window for most everything else.

Radium Aug 2, 2004 05:38 AM

I get lower FPS in window for some reason.

MaGoo Aug 2, 2004 06:52 AM

Window.

KRSplat Aug 2, 2004 06:58 AM

Window. The game looks better that way, and I can do other stuff while playing.

Tubz Aug 2, 2004 07:23 AM

Fullscreen, I break this tie.

Violet CLM Aug 2, 2004 09:54 AM

Depends... Windowed if I have MSN running, Full Screen otherwise.

Spotinik Aug 2, 2004 09:55 AM

Window. For many reasons listed above. (Like doing stuff while playing) And windowed is just less laggy. ;P (Unless it's probably my 3D card that makes jj2 slower and have low fps.) But still.

Blackraptor Aug 2, 2004 11:35 AM

Window. Always window. I usually have like 5 other proggies open when I run JJ2 so I can semi-idle, and even if I dont, window.

Leen Aug 2, 2004 12:15 PM

Full screen. On rare occasions, window.

!Tman! Aug 2, 2004 02:09 PM

Full screen its the best I wish I had a controller though.

blurredd Aug 2, 2004 02:14 PM

I need fullscreen for my 1024 x 768 resolution. Otherwise windowed.

!Tman! Aug 3, 2004 04:45 AM

Ill go window at times when I need to talk on icq...

F!re Aug 3, 2004 06:50 AM

I Only use fullscreen for a duel or war otherwise I use a window

SkulL Aug 5, 2004 11:49 AM

Window on public server. Fullscreen on duels,2on2 event etc...

Monolith Aug 5, 2004 09:42 PM

Windowed.. How else can I get stuff done while idling?

Anakin[CC] Aug 6, 2004 03:32 AM

If im playing for fun/being bored window, for matches full screen.

FoxBlitzz Aug 6, 2004 10:27 AM

When playing Single-Player or Multiplayer (Join Game), I play Full-Screen.
When hosting, I usually play in a Window so I can use trainers.

$tilettø Aug 6, 2004 10:58 AM

Window, i cant play good matches @ full screen

Tmansdc Aug 6, 2004 11:54 AM

window runs too slow for me. I run fullscreen. Bigger screen, less color bleeding, less pixelization, and faster speed.

buddy, I was here before you. Like almost two years before you. I just never posted much. My interest in Jazz Jackrabbit goes off and on. Right now, I'm interested in it. Sadly though, I didn't even play jazz jackrabbit 2 until two years ago which was the shareware/demo. But yet I had been playing/knew about jazz jackrabbit 1 (shareware) since 1995 and have been playing the cd full version since 1999!

!Tman! Aug 7, 2004 08:39 AM

Ummm Sorry I have play longer than u sorry umm Ive been playing online jj2 since 98 full version too when it come and jj1 full since it came out 10 years ago ;) any ways welcome

~SPLASH~ Aug 7, 2004 10:13 AM

Full Screen. But I tend to accidentally switch to windowed mode when pressing both jump (Alt) and weapon switch (Enter) at the same time :p I'm not used to other buttons, and I don't use the number keys all that often either...

Odin Aug 7, 2004 12:12 PM

Windowed. But I want to find out how BlurredD gets a larger res so I can play Jj2 Fullscreen in 800x600. My 19" monitor makes jazz in 640x480 look the size of a shredded wheat square, in contrast to the size of a mexican green olive stuffed with anchovies.

FoxBlitzz Aug 7, 2004 12:25 PM

Yes, I'm wondering the same thing. Infact, those two screenshots he has are 1024 x 768! In JJ2, it only lets me go up to 640 x 480 on both this computer and my laptop: my desktop computer uses DirectX 9 and my laptop uses DirectX 8.

Monolith Aug 7, 2004 07:22 PM

Wow, people play fullscreen more than I would have thought.

FoxBlitzz Aug 7, 2004 09:30 PM

I play full-screen for Single Player and when I join a server in multiplayer because not only is the screen bigger, but I get a better FPS (70 out of 70), but in a window, due to refresh rate settings, only runs at 60 out of 70. I like 60 better, it's just that JJ2 was designed for 70 hz.

R3ptile Aug 7, 2004 11:13 PM

Is it possible to get 70 fps with fullscreen? How? o.O

Edit: I changed my screen's refresh rate and now I get 70 FPS with or without fullscreen 8D 8D 8D Yayyyy...

no no no. i was just saying i been HERE as in the forum longer then you have. It's just that for some reason i get bored of things quickly and later I return to them.

Nevan6 Aug 8, 2004 04:35 AM

I am playing it in full-screen, that looks better and i can get on
my button settings with ALT.

Chiyu Aug 8, 2004 08:38 AM

Fullscreen when I'm doing something important like training or clanwar... Windowed when I'm not...

FoxBlitzz Aug 8, 2004 09:11 AM

Aah! If you look closely in BlurredD's second screenshot, he has 6 hearts! How did he manage to do that? O.o

blurredd Aug 8, 2004 09:31 AM

With Death Controller to prevent any more roasts from anyone. I was using it at the end of a Timed All You Can Roast game during a JDC event.
