That 2vs2 tournament 8D

It starts tommorow (3 September)... Yasco's message:

3) SonGohan/Quaker
4) R3ptile/Skull

Group D

1) Snooz/Superjazz
2) FireSworD/DizZy
3) Catz/Flaminglizard
4) AvK/Gummi

The rules for JTC Tournament 1 :

1) 8 teams will be eliminated in round 1 leaving 8 teams for round 2 (16 players). The 2 teams with the least points from each group will be eliminated at the end of round 1.

2) In the first round, it will be one game for a win (because the first round is huge).

3) Games in round 1 and 2 will only be played to 5. No more, no less. Perhaps different in round 3 onwards. This will be decided.

4) You MUST play all the teams in your group.

5) Loss : 1 point / Win : 3 points

7) In each game, the teams must agree on one map and all four players must agree.

8) Matches have to be hosted by an 'official'. I(or Rag) will decide who that 'officials' will be.

EDIT: And btw, groups suck. they're very unbalanced... and very stupid, and i also wanna congrualate Yasco. (for being 10.000th person to spell my nickname wrong. )

heh this tournament could really be the hit of the year if it works out, real nice teams, the cream de la creme of jj2 players. Stylo what the heck are we doing here?:)

BTW if this starts in early september, or anywhere till the end of september, i dont think chavrash will be able 2 play. But i gues green plan already knows that...

Good luck and have fun, we will explain you how the elimination round works when the simple group round will be over. ;D

Oh btw, about that thing about Thunder or Unhit being my teammate, I can confirm that I'll be playing with Unhit (as originally intended) since the tournament starts now and Fish should be coming back from holidays tomorrow.

Snooze. anyway, i will participate in this tournament, but ill never participate in a tourney what is organised by yasco/rag. they all are probably going to suck. don't ask me why.

bleh. Now i really have 2 get msn!!! Ok ill get msn ready on trillian today...sometime today anyway:)

BTW sundays r great for me 2 play. Sundays 20 CET on i can do like 2 matches if u guys want. Most days though I can do matches from 21 CET on... I gues I'll have 2 make an exception for gp who isnt from my zone... and blacky. Sylve/Sasik, Vegito/scare bring it on this week!!!:)

ya saturday is kewl too... I gues saturday at 21 00 CET would be good for most of us, ey stylo? Ill ask stylo. Me and stylo will prolly do 2 out of 3 matches this week(vs sasik, and vs vegito...). So we should be like over in max 2 weeks.

=/ as my colleague would say, euuuuhhhhhhhh............ I thought a website has to be produced with all the information about the games and points and rules.....

My I propose that each team in each group plays one other team in their group per week.

hmms, dudes, do we actually need a webpage? w could just start a topic with results only...Unless someone can scrape a page together in a week... Cmon, lets try doing this:)

BTW if it doesnt work out, we could still like have a 2v2 competition at the same time as jdc. So jdc would be just dueling and events, whilst 2v2's wiht permanent teams would be a separate competition.
BUT it would still own to have this competition ready and working... alll we need to do is play dudes.... It would be nice if at least one teammember of each team would like give his info to rep(email, icq, msn,aim), and he can post it here in one post till the end of the week, so we have means of communicating between teams 2 organise matches.

This could still work, but obviously the organisers need to do their stuff so it might take a while. I have no news of what the hell is going on but apparently Yasco and his friend are making a website for this. When this will be done I have no clue at all, but even by the time it is done, it will then depend on whether ppl are still bothered and BESIDES WHEN A TOURNAMENT LIKE THIS IS PROPOSED, PEOPLE WHO ARE POPULAR NEED TO HELP AND GET IT GOING. RAGNAROK IS A RELATIVELY NEW PLAYER, THIS TOURNAMENT NEEDS A MORE POPULAR HOST/ANNOUNCER.

i vote wait for the website, if for no other reason im away this weekend:)
Plus i hope the website will hold some player info, so it will be easier to arrange matches...
BTW an advice to ragnarok and yasco, plz post here a bit and tell us what the heck is going on!!!!
Ohh and I fully agree with GP on his last point. Lets give it a shot, so what if it will be delayed a bit? If it does start sometime, it will be a BOMB.
