JJ1 Enemy Sprites

Random enemies from Jazz 1 on one sprite sheet.
Not all of the sprites have all their frames of animation also.

Won't load. I think your Geocities account is broken or something.

Edit: Works now. Some very nice stuff there. The snow monkey is way too cute to be dangerous. :(

Iam Canadian Oct 24, 2004 05:48 PM

Ack! Don't use .bmps! They're huge! Just giving a file a different extension doesn't change their file type. But, good ripping job.

Monolith Oct 24, 2004 07:22 PM

Looks like you went over your transfer limit.

NinJazz Oct 24, 2004 08:56 PM

cooooo-oooooooo-ooooool! except the link is broken

Doubble Dutch Oct 25, 2004 04:18 AM

No, geocites simply won't load the image because too many people have looked at it. If you are lucky you may come back and see the image later, but probably not. Now if he had used PHOTOBUCKET this problem wouldn't occur.

n00b Oct 25, 2004 01:13 PM

Photobucket isn't accepting new accounts at the time, so until it does I'm stuck with a horrible server.

Radium Oct 25, 2004 01:22 PM

Send the image to a@foxmage.com and I'll have it up on my webspace in no time.

n00b Oct 25, 2004 05:08 PM

Sent the email

Radium Oct 25, 2004 05:14 PM

Got the email.

Yay

Doubble Dutch Oct 26, 2004 02:43 AM

With these enemies its not so much the obtaining of sprites that is the problem so much as the time it takes to put them into a picture like that. Here is the full animation for small turtle guy and beholder plus a pic of devan.

DoubleGJ Oct 26, 2004 08:37 AM

You used a jpeg! Now the image is ruined.

JSZ is kind of right. Putting sprites in a JPG = bad.

Sacrush Jan 8, 2005 07:04 AM

This brings back good memories.

Newspaz Jan 9, 2005 06:53 AM

I think ToxicBunny once tried to decode the JJ1 animation files, back when we were working on JCS94.

[edit] I just tried to mess a little with sprites, and this is the first I could come up with [/edit]

cooba Jan 9, 2005 10:18 AM

Sprites from episodes 1-6; extracted by Doubble Dutch.

Copy and paste URL to your browser, by the way.

Newspaz Jan 9, 2005 10:34 AM

Wow, that's a great find. Thanks Coob (and Doubble Dutch of course)

Woah. How on earth did she get all that?

cooba Jan 9, 2005 10:56 AM

She's a hacker of some sort.

Sacrush Jan 10, 2005 06:27 AM

Checking it out now. :D

hyarion Jan 11, 2005 02:53 AM

Probably not a hacker... if she was a hacker she wouldn't used different pallets (look at the gun in "General/jazz.png")...
This package is indeed nice, but not useful if you want to do a perfect clone of jazz1...

cooba Jan 11, 2005 08:43 AM

The palette change is so small that it barely even matters. And she is a hacker to assure you.

Violet CLM Jan 11, 2005 12:02 PM

Having made a JJ1 level without the use of J1CS, I would assume she has some talent in the field.

Ice M A N Jan 11, 2005 06:18 PM

*very impressed*

DoubleGJ Jan 12, 2005 03:17 AM

Too bad it doesn't download for me.

Trazz Jan 12, 2005 01:19 PM

Thats really sweet. Time for Jazz2 sprites! ;)

Anyone have those without the circular lookin background on it??

n00b Jan 12, 2005 04:55 PM

Thats an incomplete Bilsy Sheet. I say Incomplete because there are some/many frames missing.

Those are just random sprites of Jazz which I got while ripping Bilsy. Color may be a light blue in some areas because of the invincibility cheat that was on.

hyarion Jan 13, 2005 01:48 AM

nice n00b :)

Violet CLM Jan 13, 2005 02:35 AM

Gah, Bilsy is so cool. I'd love to have those powers. Mm, and the cape.

...maybe without the whole "lives in hell" thing going on, though.

Fawriel Jan 13, 2005 03:36 AM

And without those weird legs.

DoubleGJ Jan 13, 2005 06:14 AM

Nick's muscle style seems a bit strange-looking.

In episode 6 boss in particular.

Iam Canadian Jan 13, 2005 09:38 AM

This is old, missing frames, and the Robot boss is using an incorrect palette, but whatever...

Can anyone get me the sprites for Jazz from Jazz 1's 3d Bonus levels?
The screenshot key doesn't work in bonus levels and I haven't the slightest idea on how to hack the sprites out.

hyarion Jan 16, 2005 01:17 PM

I have some screenshots from the bonus level, it might be some help for you.
