Jazz JackRabbit Advanced?

I have bought JJA a year back now, and I finished it within a few days in super-whatsit-hard... It was no challenge at all, I hate it that you can't buttstomp, and I HATE Jazz's new clothing... The whole money-buy-your-weapons-concept is cool, though. (Exept for the limited different weapons...)

I just wondered what you think about it.

n00b Jul 1, 2005 10:56 AM

I finished a few days after I got it, but I only played it in short bursts that first time. I don't mind Jazz's new clothing since I belive JJA is an alternate universe accidently created while Jazz and Spaz were chasing Devan through time in JJ2. After our heroes stopped Devan, the alternate universe of JJA split apart from the normal universe and became independant. The alternate universe was created to fill in the fact that Jazz,Spaz, and Devan were missing in the normal time stream.

And that ends my crackpot theory.

EarlyBirdPie Jul 1, 2005 11:15 AM

I finished it the day I got it.

maverick Jul 1, 2005 11:32 AM

I've never finished it . \o/

w00t! People commentededingeredthingy.

YAY!

Violet CLM Jul 1, 2005 02:45 PM

I've beaten it a few times on the various difficulties. It's quite enjoyable.

...your signature is way too tall, by the way.

EnergyClock Jul 1, 2005 02:48 PM

That outfit makes him look like a redneck XD

ThunderPX Jul 1, 2005 11:49 PM

The story screwed up the entire continuity and un-cooled Spaz, and the game was too short. I never buttstomp anyway, so I didn't think that was much of a problem.

Blackraptor Jul 2, 2005 12:11 AM

Never finished it. Now I dont have it anymore.

DoubleGJ Jul 2, 2005 12:16 AM

Finished it few times with various difficulties, with or without cash cheats. Recently I played it again and found a place in Chameleon World I never knew of before.

CrimiClown Jul 2, 2005 12:16 AM

Yeah... I can imagne you didn't finish it... It is way too boring...

Tubz Jul 2, 2005 07:47 AM

I don't wish to waste my time, which I already did by reading this and clicking this

Iam Canadian Jul 4, 2005 10:01 PM

I bought it and I've beaten it twice. It's not a very long or difficult, so I can clock it in a few hours. About the other things I voted for, I really miss the buttstomp. It was a great way of attacking enemies and excelled for blocking shots. Not being able to stomp is, for me at least, a considerable handicap. Jazz's new outfit...well, I don't hate it with a passion as I once did, but I still don't like it, either. Changing the antagonist from Devan to Dark Shell was really pointless since they're basically the same and establishing two characters who are practically identical (except Dark apparently is a convention-going Star Wars fan, whereas Devan is not) just confuses matters. As for the story, the actual story the game tells isn't bad and is told well, I dislike it because of the unpleasant changes to the Jazz universe the story ushered in. And being allowed to only play as Jazz hurts replay value and makes the game seem even more like a regression from JJ2 than it already is. I don't like that.
Okay, I'm rambling now, so...whatever.

R3ptile Jul 4, 2005 11:35 PM

Oops, I voted for the wrong option.

Stijn Jul 5, 2005 05:07 AM

I really like the game and finished it a day after buying it or something, and have completed it a lot more times since then.

CrimiClown Jul 5, 2005 05:41 AM

:) I just finished it (again) in the hardest option (again) without the cash-cheat (again) and it didn't even take me 2 hours (Not again, since I can do it quicker...)

n00b Jul 5, 2005 07:28 AM

I find the game on the two hardest modes fairly easy up to Dark Shell. Man, theres one thing I miss: Health Bars.

You mean for the enemy? Yeah, I miss those... :)

n00b Jul 5, 2005 08:46 AM

It's too hard to tell how close I get to defeating Dark Shell without them.

CrimiClown Jul 5, 2005 08:49 AM

Yeah, I guess... Doesn't really matter as I spend all my money on Bazooka's... :) 50 should do it.

n00b Jul 5, 2005 09:07 AM

Bah I only have twenty.
Infinite blaster
999 machine gun
14 Ricochet
?? Flamethrowet(I forgot)
20 Rocket Launchers(Or as you call them Bazookas)
and of course, 3 Big Gun ammo.

CrimiClown Jul 5, 2005 09:25 AM

Just save all your money and find all secret area's. :) That should do! :+

n00b Jul 5, 2005 09:26 AM

I would, but I'm sorta on the last level, and you can't backtrack.

CrimiClown Jul 5, 2005 09:30 AM

There's a nice button on main menu called 'Delete File'. :p

n00b Jul 5, 2005 09:41 AM

True, but I'm not in the mood to go through the whole game on 'n00b's challenge' all over again. To artificially make the game harder and last one extra hour I strip myself of all lives until the last planet so I have a good chance of beating Dark Shell,

Jerrythabest Jul 6, 2005 12:04 AM

I can't win of that first end boss... dont know how strong he is, but I really can't find a way to kill him...

CrimiClown Jul 6, 2005 01:28 AM

The first endboss, The Chameleon King is simple to beat, really. He follows a certain attacking pattern. He walks, then runs towards you. Jump over him and he will get stuck in the wall. Attack him and run away when he gets himself out of the wall.

Jerrythabest Jul 13, 2005 09:15 AM

oh,well,thanks for that info...

CrimiClown Jul 15, 2005 09:31 AM

It's just simple... :)

No problem, anyway. (Dunno if the '...' was meant sarcasticly, but hey! Here to help! :p)

Jerrythabest Jul 22, 2005 01:54 AM

'...' isjust something I do in all posts... dont know why:)

Stijn Jul 22, 2005 02:02 AM

The game is called Jazz Jackrabbit Advance by the way, not JazzJackrabbit Advanced.

CrimiClown Jul 22, 2005 03:44 AM

...

Iam Canadian Jul 22, 2005 11:03 AM

The game is just called Jazz Jackrabbit, but we call it "Advance" to distinguish it from the original Jazz game which was also called Jazz Jackrabbit.

CrimiClown Jul 22, 2005 11:19 AM

8D We know... :p
