1.22 Patch?

i was just wondering if there ever a 1.22 patch for jazzjackrabbit 2.

LittleFreak Dec 10, 2005 06:20 PM

I guess it does exist, just like 1.21, but I have never seen a place to download it from. Or maybe they were made, but not released at all until 1.23.

eternal_magus Dec 10, 2005 06:24 PM

Yeah that often happens with patches, they make a 1.22 or whatever but then withdraw it due to more bugs etc and make newer versions of it without it ever being released, hence there only being a 1.23, .20 and .24

Newspaz Dec 10, 2005 06:32 PM

I think there never was a 1.22 patch. 1.22 was the version that came on some people's original game discs.

Black Ninja Dec 10, 2005 06:38 PM

There was a 1.22 patch - I installed it. It was on Epic's site, but only for a very short period of time before 1.23 was released. I might still have it deep in the bowels of my old PC.

LittleFreak Dec 10, 2005 06:41 PM

Were there any noticable differences at all?

blurredd Dec 10, 2005 07:06 PM

I would say. Click here.

cooba Dec 11, 2005 01:56 AM

...so basically, 1.23 patch overwrote 1.22's fixes for some reason?

WaterRabbit Dec 11, 2005 05:38 AM

The version on my CD is 1.22.

niek Dec 11, 2005 08:05 AM

My game was just 1.20 when I first installed it. And if you use TEC on TSF you have 1.21. I didn't used or downloaded 1.22 though.

Sonyk Dec 11, 2005 08:11 AM

I didn't know that there ever was a 1.22 patch. My CD just came with it.

And then I installed 1.23 and no more slide event ;(

Repeating " captured the flag" messages. Fixed.
Heh heh heh. I wonder what happened to that.

White Rabbit Dec 11, 2005 12:24 PM

1.22 seems to even be better than 1.23. ;( ;(
Let's all convert to 1.22 if BN still has the patch program! :D
..wait, it can't run 1.23 levels.

I'm sure we could all convert our 1.23 levels to 1.22 levels.

Ragnarok! Dec 11, 2005 01:35 PM

I loved those dead bodies.. I have a screenshot of them dead everywhere on my PC.. somewhere. Ill look for it. And my version on CD = 1.20

Birdie Dec 11, 2005 01:38 PM

:( i want 1.22
also my CD version is 1.21

NovaStar Dec 11, 2005 10:15 PM

My CD's 1.20.

-EDIT- Oh and yes, I have seen that glitch in a 1.23 server, Battle Server (Host: The Server). I roastied The Server and the roasted body stayed, and when I roastied another random dude the body moved.

Grytolle Dec 11, 2005 10:51 PM

Wee I have 1.22

niek Dec 12, 2005 03:27 AM

My CD couldn't be 1.22 because I bought the game in 1998. And I think converting levels to 1.22 wouldn't be hard...

Sonyk Dec 12, 2005 06:31 AM

I bought mine in 1998 too. It's still 1.22.

BattleSpaz Dec 12, 2005 09:39 AM

I know where to get 1.22, but TADAA! its [Warez]!

Also, I used to have 1.22 CD, but when it went to my friend, it never came back...

Oh yeah! On my old computer I have 1.22! Ill be tranferring it to my computer someday... heheheh...

Violet CLM Dec 12, 2005 12:39 PM

I'm not sure what would be involved in converting levels to 1.22, as 1.23 didn't seem to change the .j2l format at all... passwords were already there. Does anyone know if there is some actual difference between levels saved by a 1.22 JCS and a 1.23 JCS?

Odin Dec 12, 2005 02:27 PM

Levels made in 1.23 JCS might break 1.22 JCS. Somehow.

that was in 1.22 aswell.

n00b Dec 12, 2005 05:09 PM

It was? I didn't have time to check.
Ok, there is no plausible way for 1.23 levels to break a 1.22 JCS.

Birdie Dec 12, 2005 05:10 PM

i think that they are the same JCS

Alberto Dec 12, 2005 06:41 PM

1.22 is the american release as far as I know, I have all JazzCDs and 1.22 was the american one in a white style box with yellow logo, I got mine in a Holiday Gift Box that came with JJ2 1.22 and Holiday Hare 98 and other more games.

Besides, I think there's no difference in 1.23 and 1.22 levels

No, my American release was 1.21.

1.21 = Version Epic released
1.22 = Version GOD Games released/Epic sold online via download

So there. :P

Alberto Dec 12, 2005 07:05 PM

Ah oki, :) good thing
I have 1.20, 1.21 and 1.22 Jazz version CDs

blurredd Dec 13, 2005 10:24 AM

Does 1.22 really have anything to offer, or are you just assuming it does?

FQuist Dec 13, 2005 11:13 AM

Is it certain at all that they really fixed the flag bug in 1.22 and did not just think they fixed it but didn't actually fix it?
