...how can you buy a demo deemed illegal, I wonder.

(this is the same person as Jazz_jcs, btw)

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 24, 2006 10:39 AM

yes, I changed my nick couse the previous was too n00b. :\
Now, I think that the store sold it in illegal, but I've already paid for....

Iam Canadian Jan 24, 2006 11:01 AM

Um...you bought the JJ3D demo in a store? Is this an online store or an actual physical concrete store we're talking about?

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 24, 2006 11:09 AM

it's just an small neighborhood store who sold toys and related...
This guy is good one... I think he didn't know that it's illegal :\

okay..?
I didn't knew that it's illegal, I finished play him and I don't interesting anymore. Can we lock the subject now please?

n00b Jan 24, 2006 11:36 AM

You didn't know it was illegal? Jeez, it's only been common knowledge for a few years now.
This only proves people don't read stickies.

R3ptile Jan 24, 2006 11:38 AM

Your signature's image reminds me of Pokemon's logo...

I'm going to have to send that question right back at you, Gry.

Violet CLM Jan 24, 2006 11:57 AM

Can you take some pictures of the box and CD? This sounds interesting.

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 24, 2006 12:01 PM

I have no any scanner or digital camera, I'm a bit minimal user. BTW it's coming nylon with sticker inside..

Violet CLM Jan 24, 2006 12:06 PM

Could you open MSPaint or your drawing program of choice and sketch it?

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 24, 2006 12:09 PM

I would to draw, but for what it's necessary?

Violet CLM Jan 24, 2006 12:13 PM

It might help identify where it came from... plus, I have a fairly large collection of different images used for Jazz boxes, and I'm curious if this is anything new or not.

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 24, 2006 12:17 PM

Heh, it even doesn't designed well... :) , but for anyway, here:

(It's kind of nylon Jewel Case..)

Violet CLM Jan 24, 2006 12:21 PM

Weird. It doesn't really look like anything that would be published... most games tend to have graphics. I would indeed suggest asking the person who sold it to you where he or she got it from.

UNKNOWNFILE Jan 24, 2006 12:26 PM

Just out of curiosity, is the game on the CD 2D or 3D? and if it is 3d, does it show Jazz running around on some platform when the game starts up?

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 24, 2006 12:37 PM

Dunno, he may like anybody else. however, perhaps he download it, saw it's Demo and thought maybe it doesn't distributed well, and tried to sell.
I don't believe that he entered to the community and read that it's illegal, It's a old man.

UNKNOWNFILE:

Yes, like you said.

UNKNOWNFILE Jan 24, 2006 12:39 PM

Then you are in possesion of the not-so-rare JJ3D demo. This is indeed illegal. Go back to the person who sold it to you and demand your money back.

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 24, 2006 12:44 PM

I do it tomorrow, if he will back I tell him that I did'nt knew of it's Demo

Oh My God!!! Mysterious Original Version!!! JazzFor[EVER], you've found treasure. There were like 80 legal copies of JJ3 but then Epic found bugs in it so all copies were banned and burned... Epic was missing like 80 copies because people already bought it... And... You got it!!! The cost of something like this could be upto approx 800-900 euros, you are lucky man.
You have perfect 6th sense for legal covering. Good job, sir.

And please, people, don't make fun from him. He is the only community member having original, legal JJ3, which we all actually want.

Except...

wadledee Jan 24, 2006 03:52 PM

Is that a joke or is that real? Because the game hasn't be publiced, and there shouldn't be any cd's then, anyway... It even wasnt finished.. Why would they make over 80 cd's for only a test to show Epic the game?? I mean come on!

FQuist Jan 24, 2006 04:00 PM

(it's not real)

TaZaR Jan 24, 2006 04:12 PM

That whole thing is sounds strange.

JazzFor[EVER]: What kind sticker did you got for the CD? And how the back of the CD looks. I mean, what color is it have. Silver? Green?

wadledee Jan 24, 2006 04:29 PM

I still think this is just (-). nope this time I typed that ( - ) by myself :P

MSB3000 Jan 24, 2006 06:02 PM

I think someone just downloaded it, burned it and made it fancy so they could sell it.

ThunderPX Jan 25, 2006 02:01 AM

This is weird...

Oh, and wadledee; I seriously don't remember saying that, although I probably did.

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 25, 2006 03:27 AM

Also, I don't know if the game what I played on he's legal. There's too mess and much many bugs...
Oh BTW, the man who sold me the game thought that Jazz Jackrabbit 3 will released, and that is the Demo of (I just checked the page of JJ3 right now, and I must tell you that I'm so dissapointed couse of JJ3 will not released (Originally)...
is that easy you guys giving up? aren't you've got contacts with Epic?

Is it just a CD-ReWritable case with a sticker on it?

Why would he do that? I'd say it's pretty cool to have the JJ3 demo.

But the Demo is illegal, I don't want to be in copyright trouble...

TaZaR Jan 25, 2006 05:11 AM

JazzFor, could you tell me that the how the lower side of the disc looks?

JazzFor[EVER] Jan 25, 2006 05:21 AM

There is anything lower... It's just nylon Jewel Case with sticker of the game...
