Hi there, I'm DrJones, I've been in the community since 1999. I've been away for a while, so I don't know 90% of the board, but I'm willing to get back into the swing of things.

Xobim Feb 1, 2006 11:39 AM

Hi, I'm Xobim. Just like CrimiClown I'm Dutch too.
Welcome (back) to the JCF.

Probably not, that was just a hasty job I think...
Allthough Belgians tend to win the Dutch spelling competition quite often, buuuut...

Iam Canadian Feb 1, 2006 04:34 PM

Hi there. As my username may or may not suggest, I am not Dutch but rather Canadian which makes me a higher form of life.

Heh, you don't get it he's using a translator. :p He posts both the original deutch and the translated english text, to be more understandable, since babelfish is not the best thing in the world...

Why are you saying that? He have been wrote in holland? I tought it was german.

ThunderPX Feb 3, 2006 06:46 AM

Dutch is spoken by the inhabitants of the Netherlands, who call it "Nederlands."
Deutsch is what people from Germany, who speak it, call German.

Aaargh, why are you keep repeating this thing? I know what deutsch is, this is why I used the word. (okay, I missed the "s" letter, big deal) I know this is how German people calling their language. I also know that Dutch/Netherland/Holland is a different thing.

But is this text Dutch or German?

It looks German to me, since it has words like begonnen, etc. If it's Dutch I've been mistaked, because I tought it's German. This is why I used the word "deutsch". Now clear? *sigh*

Doubble Dutch Feb 3, 2006 11:14 PM

Some confusio here may arise due to the fact that English, German and Dutch are sister lanuages; they share a lot of words.

ThunderPX Feb 4, 2006 03:57 AM

It's very bad Dutch. =P
