I can't remember if this has been done before, if it hasn't feel free to...

...Go there! :p

Edit: This is what happens when you aren't allowed to upload to J2o.

What n00b said ;p

Black Ninja Mar 10, 2006 04:12 PM

Awesome! I've been waiting so long for someone to make that.

Grytolle is officially my new role model.

Why is your school allowing you to use IE?

Birdie Mar 10, 2006 06:18 PM

Because they think firefox would be over stimulating ;)
nah it's really because alot of the people there are newbed and don't even know what firefox is.

Odin Mar 10, 2006 06:39 PM

My school is full of idiots and yet my school uses Firefox as the standard.

Birdie Mar 10, 2006 06:53 PM

My icons are so pretty. O+

EDIT:

How do I rearrange the order of the search engines? I'd like to have the J2O search plug-ins (Jazz before Spaz) at the top, ERE in the middle, and JCF on the bottom.

Grytolle Mar 11, 2006 06:21 AM

I can't seem to find any way :(

n00b Mar 11, 2006 06:22 AM

I depends the order you install them in. Uninstall them, and reinstall them in the order you want them in.

Grytolle Mar 11, 2006 06:22 AM

Nope.

n00b Mar 11, 2006 06:25 AM

Yep

It works. :p Thanks, n00b.

n00b Mar 11, 2006 06:54 AM

No problem "UR".

Grytolle Mar 11, 2006 07:07 AM

I found a better way to remove plugins, it's all on the site.

FQuist Mar 12, 2006 01:37 PM

Pretty awesome idea to create these as firefox-native plugins. Even I as admin will find these to be greatly useful :O

I think IE7 is also going to allow something like this?

This explanation of how to use Yubnub to search J2O is a good addition, but it's less powerful than your plugins: J2O commands for Yubnub (less features, restricted to Yubnub...)

Here's an addition you can use to allow for quick surfing to J2O sections. This does not in any way replace your plugins, it provides for quick surfing though. I never finished/officially published the page, but might someday.

Grytolle Mar 12, 2006 02:14 PM

Dude, that's some cool stuff too! This would be possible with IE too, but I can't do it... it would require some real programming, something I am unable to do... sorry :/

So, that's why I had the feeling this had been done before... Yubnub... I just couldn't remember what it was... Ohwell ^^.

Edit: I thought of IE6... I dunno about IE7... it won't be for WinXP anyways, right?

Stijn Mar 12, 2006 02:25 PM

IE7 will be released for Windows XP, if that's what you mean. In fact, beta 2 is available for download.

Grytolle Mar 12, 2006 02:26 PM

Thanks! :) *downloads*

Edit: Apparently there is this thing for IE7, called OpenSearch, it doesn't seem as good as FF's but go ahead and try to do sometihing of it... :)

Could anyone please make the .png's transparent? It would be very good for everyone if they were... *right...* Thanks beforehand.

Of course there will be CREDITS ON THE SITE *mm, this gotta work*!!!1 ^^

Please send the new pictures either to grytolle$$$$@$$$$$$$$$$gmail$$$$.com or PM me here, or better yet, post the pics here. Oh, and there is no need for you to manually add the pictures... once I upload them FF will automatically update your plugins in 24 hours.

Black Ninja Mar 13, 2006 08:43 PM

If I were you, I wouldn't bother trying to make search plugins for IE7. The IE7 featured on Windows Vista won't accept them, as it uses a different search plugins..thing.

Grytolle Mar 13, 2006 09:39 PM

I made something that should work with all explorer versions, that's gotta be enough. Oh, and Cooba fixed the icons. Thanks.
