Razz Arena Problems! D'=

As posted in the Razz Arena Forum:
"Hi! Innocent from the JCF here!
Okies, so I was really looking forward to playing Razz Arena, downloaded all the files, but upon client initialisation (after connecting to the beta server via Connector.exe) the Razz Arena Console says it can't execute q3config.cfg and autoexec.cfg. Also, on startup, the screen goes black then grey and then goes back to what I was doing about 2-3 times and then says "Razz Arena.exe has generated errors and closed. An error log has been created.", however I can't find the log.
I'm using Windows NT 2000 Professional with Pentium III and the drive I'm using is D: with 1.88GB of free space, and drive C: has 263MB of free space.

Help?!"

Well, anyone?

Just installed it, and it works fine for me.
And jeez, Jamster way to be a jerk.

ThunderPX Jul 2, 2006 05:58 AM

Nobody visits the RA forum =P Looks like something went wrong in the install, or maybe you just have a bad PC. =P

XD,ok lets try and help are innocent friend,Well as noob said everything went fine when installing it,you do need the registration code (i think).
But i don't really play it.
The 3d battle 1 level is awsome yet confusing, note try not to make 2d levels into 3d.

Birdie Jul 2, 2006 09:37 AM

You don't need the registration code jamster, and you should try reinstalling it and redownloading the install file innocent.
Also jamster, you don't spell our like are.

MSB3000 Jul 2, 2006 11:34 AM

Do you have any other computer to install it onto?

Also, are you using the stand-alone version?

NovaStar Jul 2, 2006 05:45 PM

Well, I did try reinstalling, but it didn't work. No other computer to try as my XP is getting fixed (it's so 2003 now =( ) and yes, I am using the standalone.

I can't download the install file again, it took 3 hours to get it the first time =(

You use dial-up!?

How dare you.

My best guess and/or advice would be that it's just the computer you're using and that you should wait for your XP to be fixed. It works fine on mine.

Amazingly enough I use broadband. Odd.

MSB3000 Jul 3, 2006 04:58 PM

But, I can download Razz Arena in about three seconds.

You have a stupid computer. I would suggest reading books to it.

NovaStar Jul 3, 2006 09:26 PM

I do, but then it falls asleep. >.<

Well, I tried downloading again and it didn't work. I have a naughty computer.

Camou Jul 3, 2006 11:35 PM

Maybe your computer is too overloaded to run all those applications?
@Jamster, levels are sometimes planned on paper. And that's 2d too. Those are not only JJ2 levels but can be UT levels too.

ThunderPX Jul 4, 2006 02:24 AM

A fresh Windows install should make it faster. Or at least running 3 million spyware-removal tools should.

piet Jul 4, 2006 05:52 AM

sounds like a 3d card problem, what kind do you have?

n00b Jul 4, 2006 11:51 AM

I think the B1 remake should have a fixed camera so it plays like it was 2d.

Strato Jul 4, 2006 12:37 PM

That would be annoying if you're trying to shoot at things below or above you.

NovaStar Jul 4, 2006 10:56 PM

I'm on my XP and it doesn't work too.

And I have no idea what 3D card I have.

ThunderPX Jul 7, 2006 09:11 AM

MSB3000 Jul 7, 2006 05:21 PM

I tried making one once, it was hard to get the ponytail right. I should try again sometime.

If you put a crapload of effort into the textures it should be possible to make it look right =P
