Problems with gamecrashers :S

Hey Jazzgamerz,

I've got a question: Which anti crash programm works fine? I did try NeoAC but there was someone crashing my game :S (i read that there is a prog that bypass NeoAC?)

Is there a up-to-date program that prevent crashing, spamming, ghosting and where u can ban people's IP? Please let me know..

Tnx for the help!

As far as I know there's no way to prevent all forms of crashing servers. It's not perfect, but NeoAC's the best method available.

Maybe try running ApprehendJJ2 to nab the IP and report? I do remember something about NeoAC being able to be bypassed by something but I forget what now.

As far as I know NeoAC prevents long name crashes as well as some other protocol abuses, but those are only a few methods one can use to crash a server or otherwise disrupt the gameplay. Surely it's the best available method so far and I hope Mono gets to release future versions. I know its possible to bypass it and how to do it, but I've never heard of a program made specially to bypass it. If there is such thing then it's likely fairly recent. But technically you could use existing programs such as a packet editor to easily bypass it, if you know how to do it.

I was out of the loop for a while, but did Mono get around to releasing a 1.24 version of NeoAC?

Grytolle Dec 11, 2006 09:09 AM

No... but once I release 1.23+ (which has NeoAC's functionality) I will star finishing 1.24+, which will then also feature crash protection

Vegito Dec 12, 2006 03:55 AM

Yes.
And there's no program which bypasses NeoAC at this very moment.
Its just that.. Paul got version 1.24 =]
And version 1.24 doesn't have a working NeoAC version so far ;p

There are program's that can bypass NeoAC ;s

Currently, there are way too much crashers. yesterday my server was crahsed again (but it was only a trap, because i waited for the crasher - i knew that (s)he would come) - his / her ip adress was 83.15.164.61 - apprehendJJ2 didnt give me any useful information beside the IP adress.
btw, one of the crashers seems to be SlayerCC!

There are many crashers on TSF today. I could go and list their names/IP's, but that won't do any good. It's best if you use a tool such as Carrotade from BlurredD to protect your server from the fleas.

You can get it here:

I've actually been playing TSF the past two days and haven't seen any crashers. In fact, the last time I heard of any major crashing was March-May 2006.

Jojo Jan 2, 2007 10:04 AM

It seems that they don't attack everyone...

edit: Carrotade says: "Version not supported" - i have TSF and didnt patch the exe or something...

Jerrythabest Jan 2, 2007 10:51 AM

if Grytolle can make 1.24 crash protected, than Monolith should be able to make a 1.24 NeoAC too :S

Jojo Jan 2, 2007 01:51 PM

but the program deosnt work... why??!?!?!

blurredd Jan 2, 2007 06:01 PM

So you have both the Carrotade exe and the dll in the same folder as your JJ2 exe, and you're sure you have version 1.24?

Jojo Jan 3, 2007 04:59 AM

indeed i am sure. maybe i have to reinstall jj2? i didnt install it at all coz i reinstalled windows...
the file date of carrotade is 24.12.2006
