Audience?

This topic's purpose is to pinpoint the number of people/players still active in the game in all aspects. All you have to do is vote for one of the options on the poll.

I started the topic for motivational purposes, as I feel everytime I or other people here try to get involved in a project, or something similiar, will instantly lose interest due to the fact there seems to be such a small audience here.

Proove me wrong.

Birdie Feb 5, 2007 03:04 PM

I consider myself rather active, I make levels play the game online just about every day, program some stuff.

Hitch Feb 5, 2007 04:30 PM

I find my self very active, I play jj2 probley once every day. I play the levels hosted on jj2, do jcs and other stuff related to jj2. In my opinion I think I have become one of the most active on jj2.

Violet CLM Feb 5, 2007 10:09 PM

I work on single player levels, occasionally download stuff, and keep an eye on many aspects of the forums.

Sacrush Feb 6, 2007 12:29 AM

I'm both active in JCS as online. Yes I know I never release anything JCS relative but I hope I will soon.

Grytolle Feb 6, 2007 12:40 AM

I play jj2 daily, some teamgames per week, and I also have a quite dormant hacking career!

Xobim Feb 6, 2007 07:15 AM

I sometimes download and play some levels. I don't play online, but I do check the forums atleast once a day. I rarely work on my levels.
So consider me unactive, sorry. :(

U Can't Beat The Server

SPAZ18 Feb 6, 2007 10:56 AM

I play JJ2 nearly every day and download some custom SP levels & tilesets. I sometimes make levels but I have only made 2 SP packs. I'm currently working on another SP pack now.

cooba Feb 6, 2007 11:29 AM

I'll be surprised if you get more votes than 40.

(I work on levels and tilesets daily and work on J2O, I'd say that counts.)

Marijn Feb 6, 2007 11:40 AM

I only read the forums, waiting for some more time. rarely I dive into some tileset or level to edit 2 perhaps 3 things and continue to play...

So.. I'm pretty unactive.

Fire_Fishy Feb 6, 2007 09:40 PM

NOT ACTIVE WHATSOEVER.

Hey, guys.

Tik Feb 6, 2007 10:54 PM

I am at 15% jj2 capacity.

#jj2 doesn't count.

FQuist Feb 7, 2007 04:27 AM

5%. If I hear of a level, sp or mp, that is really impressive, or an utility, I sometimes play. Firetruck being the last level I tried. I occasionally show up in mp servers, anonymously or not.

KRSplat Feb 7, 2007 01:02 PM

I play JJ2 online or SP most days.

Coppertop Feb 8, 2007 09:06 PM

I play occasionally, but not online. So I'd consider myself inactive.

Link Feb 8, 2007 10:38 PM

0%. It's been over four years since I played the game regularly, and I haven't even run JJ2 for at least a year. Kind of sad that I still hang around here ;-).

Maybe this topic's purpose can be restated: To pinpoint the number of people/players still active in the game as well as JCF.

Myself, I join MP servers for about 10 hours per week (9 hours of which are idle), but I consider myself active since I'm working on multiple JJ2 programs :lori: .

DoubleGJ Feb 9, 2007 06:06 AM

Well duh I play often and do good stuff.

If they have never heard of J2O, then they're not a level designer's audience.

KRSplat Feb 9, 2007 12:47 PM

Because people that aren't JCF members don't matter at all. Are they even really people?

R3ptile Feb 10, 2007 02:47 AM

there are many, many people who visit j2o, just as guests

Xobim Feb 10, 2007 04:40 AM

Yeah, but bots exist too.
Because the JCF is a forum, it is interactive and needs to be monitored by search engines. They use bots to find subjects of threads.

R3ptile Feb 10, 2007 12:23 PM

...?

i know about a lot of people in 1.23 who visit j2o frequently to download stuff, unfortunately they simply don't bother to register and start posting

CrimiClown Feb 10, 2007 12:48 PM

I'm quite active on the forums and with a new project of mine... though you rarely notice me in online games.

(sarcasm)

DarkSonic Feb 11, 2007 04:09 AM

I can call myself pretty active. I make lots of levels, I'm the leader of a level group, I play in public servers and I play team games sometimes, I post on this forum sometimes, I try to enter tournaments when there's one that takes place, etc. etc. Although I have periods where I do less at my levels, that doesn't matter though. I'm still pretty active.

Anubis Feb 12, 2007 06:34 AM

I play everyday, I'm semi-inactive on JCF, I participate in JDC and I've made some levels too.

Xplosive Feb 12, 2007 10:36 AM

Im unactive normally and that means im unative on every jj2 thing (jcs forums playing jj2 online download).

But I will normally play for a month or less , but I view the forums a bit more than I used to.

AtomicMike421 Feb 12, 2007 09:21 PM

I am active for a while, then I'm inactive for a while... College takes it's toll. I've been really into Jazz2 since I was like 13 or so, wish I had more time to play though.

Shiny Rabbit Feb 18, 2007 09:57 AM

im really active on jazz 2 online, last night i spent 3 hours on it, then today i had 2 more 3 hour sessions and i dont plan to stop

Stijn Feb 18, 2007 10:13 AM

j2o diehard

same here, problems with the router, that just cannot be solved somehow.. I wish I had cable internet instead of this ****** ADSL (we had 3 different providers, 3 different routers and still no solve for jj2)
