Did that topic title just blow you away? I knew it did.

Now view the unholiness!

ShadeJackrabbit Apr 26, 2007 03:34 PM

Oh my gosh! It's a snow turtle!

Actually, it's quite good. *fav*

Anaiyu Apr 26, 2007 08:44 PM

Ahaha Are you kidding? Your version looks better than the GBA version of Jazz. Very well done.

CrimiClown Apr 27, 2007 12:11 AM

Nice job, n00b (wow, that sounds so wrong).

Fawriel Apr 27, 2007 01:06 AM

They really should have put you in charge of the artwork...

Nonomu198 Apr 27, 2007 01:19 AM

Good job there, but may i ask wut is that thing jazz is wearing?

ThunderPX Apr 27, 2007 02:15 AM

Nonomu198 Apr 27, 2007 02:33 AM

The inside of his ears is white.

I think its because the guy who made this jazz in a rush of last second forgat the ears. (normal jazz ftw)

If he was in a rush, then why are the white parts of the ear shaded?

Nonomu198 Apr 27, 2007 09:15 AM

He only forgat that the color is pink

White Rabbit Apr 27, 2007 10:06 AM

I wouldn't really call the colors used in the boxart accurate, since the gun Jazz is holding is just Black and Gray ingame where it's green and yellow-orangish respectively.

Also, aside from the green fur the tuft of hair also helps identify it's Jazz.

Nonomu198 Apr 27, 2007 11:49 AM

I dont kno,I think this Jazz hair is wider and shorter

Well duh, thats because they weren't drawn by the same guy, you can't expect the hair size to stay consistent do you?

I mean, if you're going to be that banal about it then none of my Fanart is recognizable as Jazz.

Nonomu198 Apr 27, 2007 12:16 PM

im only sang that this Jazz dont looks like the real Jazz, but he is A Jazz....somehow.
(or il jost keep blabing bout it and none of ur Fanart is recognizable as Jazz?)

*cough* I only asked wut Jazz is wearing, then started acting banal about that other Jazz guy cuz Anaiyu. (u rly thout i mean that? >O)

Friend? :D

KRSplat Apr 27, 2007 04:24 PM

The fur on the inside of rabbits' ears turns white as the rabbit gets older, just like the hair on the heads of humans.

Nonomu198 Apr 28, 2007 12:25 AM

Wait.....so Jazz is old? Blah.I will never do anything that gut 2 do with Jazz Jackrabbit Advance.

What does that even mean? If you say you haven't seen something, then yeah, I kind of assume you haven't seen it. :P

Awesome picture.
I've always been a fan of the JJA design.
The snow turtle's pretty awesome looking, especially - and you used a nice color palette all around. It's pleasing on the eyes, for sure.

One thing I would point out, though - Jazz has a good sense of motion in his body, but the snow turtle seems a tad rigid to be making such a swipe (especially in his legs|torso ratio).
Otherwise, absolutely no complaints.

Doubble Dutch Apr 29, 2007 03:57 AM

Brilliant artwork!

DoubleGJ Apr 29, 2007 06:11 AM

Sweet stylisation. As much as I'm not much into colored lineart, it really fits here, so no complaints.

Eh? I'm not sure what you mean here.

FreeLance Apr 30, 2007 01:21 PM

In regards to the weight of his total mass divided between his legs and his torso, the ratio of legs to torso in the distribution of weight, combined with the motion of his arm (the strength of which stems from his torso) - it looks too rigid where the legs and torso meet. His stance would not be so casual/"i'm just standing here" if he was swiping his hand in such a way, especially considering how much larger his torso is in relativity to his legs. (The swipe would result in him falling backwards because his legs are both in front of his torso and his torso is enormous. My point was that it would look better if there was more movement/energy in his pose, as there is in Jazz's.)

Now do you get it?

n00b May 1, 2007 10:41 AM

So you mean his stance is too stiff, yes I get it now.

FreeLance May 1, 2007 12:48 PM

Pretty much. Also that his legs are too far ahead of his torso to hold him up.

n00b May 1, 2007 03:43 PM

Got it, and thanks, I always dig it when I get some helpful crit like that.
