Jazz1 help
hey all
im getting the famous runtime 200 error. I have downloaded the patching program that you all recommend in earlier posts, to my Jazz1 folder, however when i use it and try Jazz1 i still get the error. am i doing anything wrong? |
Obvious question, have you tried applying the patch instead of just placing it in the folder?
|
yeah i double clicked it and a windows appeared for about 10½ of a second
|
TpPatch is a command line program, so you need to run it with a special command.
Open a command line (cmd from a run window), change the active directory to your Jazz Jackrabbit folder (cd path to jazz.exe) and then type tppatch jazz.exe. I'm not entirely sure, but you could also probably just drag Jazz.exe onto the TpPatch program. I have no way of testing though. |
neither worked
i cant make my cmd change active directory.....each time i write chdir d: or cd d: it just switches back to C:\ |
You could also try something like cmd /k tppatch jazz.exe.
|
doesnt work
' |
d:
cd Games Cd Jazz tppatch.exe jazz.exe or simply: d:\games\Jazz\tppatch.exe d:\games\jazz\jazz.exe Change the directory to your jazz installation folder of course. If that doesn't work, copy the files into your current C: directory and patch them there + move them back. |
AHA! thanks i made it do something....still doesnt work
heres what i did and what i get: |

|
You can always try looking up the error yourself through Google or whatnot.
|
jesus christ it works! turns out i had to patch file 0001 instead of jazz.exe
sound is still bugged tho |
Try running JJ1 inside of Dosbox, or using VDMSound.
